- Yes, we are back with another Lovevery Comparable video! Today we take a look at the 11-12 Months "The Thinker" Play Kit and search the web to see if we can't make something similar ourselves. Spoiler-we can.
If you're new to my channel, this is a series I started at the very beginning because I found that a lot of moms have a similar mindset as myself-interest in implementing activities from Lovevery, but looking for a better value option. However, as the kits have progressed, I've noticed some positives but also some missing components within the kits. We take a look at what makes The Thinket Play Kit from Lovevery for 11-12 Months unique, but also how we can make it even better with items that we find on our own. As always, I will be giving you options for the optimized kit, as well as a budget option that stays within that $70-$80 price range, as well as options in between. Whatever your budget, the Montessori materials we look at today are sure to provide your 11-12 month old with more diverse and challenging activities, which will last you quite a bit longer. Meaning you have gotten more bang for your buck ;)

We got the 6 doll collection!!!! They are FANTASTIC!! We use them as well to show how we are all three different skin colors and our family members too, our son sleeps with the little purple one ❤️

I agree they’re working on the pincer grasp more when they’re around 8 months or so.
Sometimes even 7 months! That puzzle would’ve been wonderful in the inspector kit and the pouch may would’ve been amazing in the senser kit since it has almost nothing in it hahaha
Yes! The senser play kit had 2 large wooden items so at least put the pouch in the Inspector kit- that was mainly just a variety of balls. The pouch would've been nice to mix in there.

What is the baby wearing on it's head in this video?
She's wearing a soft helmet. We have many steel reinforced corners in our home that became too dangerous in her initial learning to walk journey.
I will say the lovevery play kits aren’t montessori they’re just inspired by the montessori method that’s why they don’t have practical life in there. It’s just meant to be wooden fun toys :)
I know they've changed their strategy now but when I first started this series, they very heavily leaned into the "Montessori Inspired" advertising strategy to get traction. They do end up offering practical life activities in future kits-theres transferring with tweezers, a lockbox, buckles, even a sink..so they do incorporate it eventually. But like most items, would've been great to see those sooner, when our little people ate first showing that interest. Especially since they're positioning their kits to be "the only" toys you'd need 🙂
