That dent is impossible to fix, the whole panel has to be replaced, that's over 6000 dollars at any garage. Cheaper for insurance to pay the cost of the car which is probably less than 6000 and you buy a cheap second hand one from 2016.

Only 313 life sentences? That's like, 3 days for Omni-Man, should've accounted child abuse at the end plus terrorism on account of war crimes
He also broke the laws of Viltrum too, as he abandoned his post as a soldier when he left Earth after Mark talked him down. So desertion, dereliction of duty; plus he just about killed 3 other viltrumites afterwards. Man's got nowhere to go with crimes against Earth and Viltrum.
@@trentbrown500 They still sentenced Omniman to death for desertion, and at least in the comics seem to see killing other viltrumites as a waste of resources. I think circumstances matter, considering they were killed by a traitor, and not explicitly because they were weak.
On the plus side, the fact that dereliction of duty is probably punishable by death does get Nolan off the hook for the war crimes of perfidy (pretended to be Earth's hero) and Aggressive War. The Nuremberg trials and later Geneva Conventions established that a credible fear of death does remove much culpability from war crimes.
@@RamdomView Given that Viltrum isn't a signatory; it would be hard to enforce war crimes against them. Nazi Germany was technically a signatory that broke the rules, and lost to be prosecuted.
Viltrum wasn't a signatory, and historically, non-signatories haven't been punished for violating the Geneva convention, just as they aren't protected by it either.
It's like when people try and bring up the Geneva convention in Star Wars, it doesn't really exist there; and it's not a magic all-binding thing even in reality.
It's likely Viltrum practices totally unrestricted warfare, which means they themselves are totally open to whatever an enemy could think of doing to them too.
IE it wouldn't be a war crime if Cecil's lab boys cooked up a genophage that made all viltrumites sterile, and killed them specifically, then released it on them.
Unrestricted warfare is great when you have the upper hand, but it sucks if the shoe ever changes foot.

I mean we’re dealing with extreme hypotheticals at this point but typically a Judge will look at it to see if a double jeopardy claim is made. 2 separate instances on the same trial may just count as 2 murders.
if you rob a store, leave, and then come back an hour later to rob it again, you could be charged with two counts of robbery. Each act of robbery is considered a distinct crime, regardless of the time interval between them. You can be prosecuted separately for each robbery.

With self defense you have to fear for your life and considering how he clearly wasn't afraid, I don't think it would count
If he was actually defending himself he didn't really need to do anything and if he did do something that would classify as self defense it wouldn't be killing them, it would be knocking them out or taking their guns away from them
The soldiers could also be put under law enforcement, making it still illegal

What a madman. He could've easily just figured out what kind of train was used in the scene, assumed that it was at full capacity, and added the people that were outside of the train to the estimation.

I'd argue what he did to the flaxins was genocide, there were alot of scenes of minor crimes (like property dmg and tampering with evidence), and any scene he and Mark share is child abuse/neglect/endangerment/ any other word that means bad
I would argue that before Mark got his powers, the time he spent with him was actually good father and son time. Afterwards though...yeah that is when things get bad.
Also, I believe Omni-Man punching someone would be classified as 'assault with a deadly weapon' since the same is true for if a trained fighter were to punch someone.
I think it would realistically just be battery, I was actually thinking the scene with Cecil could be argued as assault, the way Omni-Man grabbed his tie, clearly with the intent to do serious damage, and probably kill him, and managed to get a hand on him.
If his target isn't also a superhuman and remains intact after it, he's clearly holding back and it's probably just battery. There are plenty of cases where he just straight up murders with his bare hands, and it isn't particularly effortful even then.

During this same scene Nolan had explicitly told Mark that his actions on earth were ordered by the Viltrum Empire, IE his actions up until this point are typical for the take over of a planet, and therefore these likely all fall under the warcrimes. If these are his actions on Earth and the Flaxan dimension what reason doe we have to believe that the others were any different? (The only reason this would not be an "innocent until proven guilty" situation is because he IS admitting the truth.)

Probably not. Even if we reduced his life sentences to 25 years before possibility of parole, that’s over 7825 years of jail time. Viltrumites live thousands of years and Omni-Man is already 2000 years old. I doubt he can live 10000 years.

1) guardians of the globe - diplomatic immunity from Viltrum, this is most likely the hardest charge to beat (apart from the obvious, Chicago)
2) destruction of Flaxan planet - an act of self defense on behalf of Planet Earth
3) dropping dude from the sky - reckless endangerment can be argued it was a controlled environment/a training exercise for Mark (pay therapy for bad guy tops)
4) GDA soldiers - self defense
5) Donald - can be considered self defense depending on which state they’re in
6) Intimidation of William - can be easily dismissible in court
7) 2nd degree of Cecil - can strongly be argued Omni Man’s first attempt to grab Cecil wasn’t fatal, other attempts seem to be acts of frustration since he knows he can’t get him.
8) Immortal - self defense would strongly be argued in court for sure
9) War Crimes - outside the jurisdiction of any U.S. courthouse & literally hundreds of years ago so outside the statute of limitations maybe

I was not expecting this much violence from this video because I've never seen this movie before, all I saw was Omni-Man and I recognized him as the legend of many voices and characters that I hold close to my heart, mainly being Tenzin and J. Jonah Jameson. I guess this is what happens when he becomes violent. Cool.
It's a show, not a movie and I highly reccomend it. Has who I'd consider to be the best villains in the super hero genre personality wise: the Mauler Twins.

My most sincere congratulations Mousait,another excellent video as usual🎉. I've never known the true scope of Omni-Man's atrocities but know i'm beyond speechless. The ironic thing about Omni-Man is that he looks like J Jonan Jameson which means the head of Daily Bugle has become the one thing he so despises: a menace, an Avenger-level menace.
