You forgot to mention Johan Cruijff, not only a magical player but he also changed the game forever with his vision and tactics ( tikkietaka that made Spanisch football on top of the world again). The true GOAT. I could go on all day about what he did in 86 and at Napoli, in an era where they were competing against AC Milan which was the best team on the planet then. He also played on terrible pitches and was never given the protection players get today. Most of the challenges he faced would be automatic red cards today.

You are right abiut it being easier for attackers. The average goal er comeptition game in Spain from 2005-2021 ws between 2,7 and 3,1. In Maradona's era (1978-1991) the average goal scored in the Italian competition was between 1,8 and 2,2 goals per match. These are very significant numbers because each season had 400 matches. So yeah all atackers have an easier time now.
