Observing Players when the ball is dead. New Officials check your habits!

Dead ball officiating is a critical skill to develop as a basketball official. What really helps is to develop good HABITS, so that you don't work against yourself by being distracted by things around the game. Focus on your job at hand:
Calling official will move to reporting area to report and observe bench areas.
The off ball official is tasked with observing players. That is our job!
Check your game video to ensure that you are really doing a good job in this area.
