- This could be the Simplest Iron Farm for Minecraft Bedrock Edition EVER. You could build it in your first few days in the game!
In today's Episode of Minecraft Farm Tutorials, with Avomance, I am showing you how to build an INSANELY EASY Minecraft Iron Farm 1.19 for Bedrock Edition that works so well it will give you approx 300-350 Iron Per hour for just digging a hole in the ground!
Forget all this building up high, collecting lots of resource and working for days and days... This can be done in your first few Minecraft days!
AND you can adapt it into a Minecraft Mob Farm too!! I tell you how in the video!

You need Iron in Minecraft... its the centre of SO MANY things you build and use!
This Iron farm will keep you in as much Iron as you could need! Whats great is you just build it and go about your business.
As long as the chunks are loaded, it will keep on producing you Iron and Poppies (and the occasional string!)

I’ve made this farm a couple times. Both times I had issues with small caves in the area that trapped both iron golems and “broke” the farm. The fix is easy but can be time consuming.
Count 16 blocks out from every side of the farm including below the farm. This 37x37x28 area - with the farm centered and aligned with the surface - covers the max distance golems can spawn from the farm. It’s needs to be solid (no voids) so the only place they can spawn is in the farm. The easiest way to find and fill voids in this space is to dig to the bottom of the cube and use the boat X-ray glitch. You’ll see voids and can dig your way to them to fill them.

Worked great for my Xbox Bedrock world. I had 5 and a half stacks of carrots and the villagers bred so quickly. Only had to eliminate one nitwit. Golems started spawning before the farm was complete, so I definitely won't complain about the rates. Thanks for the tutorial! :)
Can confirm this farm works on the newest version of bedrock and while it outputs quite a bit lower than JC's farm it is much easier to build as it costs less resources and takes up much less space

built this design a few weeks ago, still works fine. make sure to tame 5 cats so more dont spawn. and it generally seems slow or like it isnt working but if you just afk and leave for a while, you will have alot of iron coming back.

At first it didn't work.
We were trying to figure out why it didn't work, so we did that:
1. Do a copy of the world
2. In the copy of the worls, go in spectator mode
3. Give yourself night vision potion in the command chat
4. You might find a cave where your golems are spawning!!!
For us the golems were spawning in a tiny tiny cave near. We patched it and now it works fine!
How do you go in spectator mode

Great. Works exactly as shown if you follow the directions. The only modification I am attempting is to dig down to the villager level plus eight blocks further down (6 blocks lower than the original 11), two blocks away from the farm edge, to see if there are caves down there and fill them with dirt.

Note about villagers.
If you give them a boat, they will always jump in it. Villagers love boat rides.
I found that pre-cutting a one block wide channel (Edit: make it three blocks wide, makes it easier) from the village to the farm site makes transportation in boats easy. You can also drag boats uphill if you put water down the hill first.

Works perfectly for me, Thank you! I dug out almost a whole mountainside for about 40 iron before 😢 I didn't like the cat murder so sat 3 tamed cats on the glass lid and no more cat spawning since! Also I feel like golems spawned more frequently since I did this!

This is the easiest one I’ve seen on bedrock the other farms are ridiculously long and I love your accent
Built this with my mate on my Xbox Survival World and it works like a charm. I did make a couple of differences tho:
- Instead of building it in the ground, I built it in the air above an ocean.
- To remove any cat spawns and actually spawn some iron golems, I tamed 5 cats and placed them on a floating platform near the farm, and mob proofed it with slabs, so that iron golems will spawn.

My farm was working fine until I built a golem to patrol my base. I realized this messed up my farm. I killed the golem I made and this did not fix the problem. Now it seems cats are spawning into the farm instead of golems.
@@johnhatcher2967 Hey! As there are cats spawning, tame 5 of them from the farm and place them on a spawn-proof platform near the farm.
Also, make sure to count your villagers to make sure there are 20 and make sure they all have the correct profession.

@@johnhatcher2967 Hmmm.. I'm not 100% sure. If you have built it on land, make sure you have lit up the surrounding areas and blocked off any caves that iron golems could spawn in. Also, make sure your iron farm is 100+ blocks from any villagers, beds, and profession blocks.
Hey man! I actually built mine really similar to yours, but I'm having an issue with low rates. Golems are spawing in the chamber, just really slowly. They don't spawn in the water or anywhere outside, but maybe one or two will spawn quickly and then it's a good wait till the next one or two. It's spawn proofed with stairs and buttons, and lit up on the outside well. The only difference i think is mine is directly on top of the water, would drowned make any issues here? I also used cartography tables instead of looms just because of what I had on hand. Thanks!

It's even easier on Java, since you only need 3 villagers instead of 20. Look for ianxofour's day one iron farm.

The simplest Iron Farm around, it worked first time on Xbox-One, I had 2 golems waiting before I'd even placed the water 😃
Don't expect a crazy amount of Iron, but it's enough, a 20min test gave:
*Iron:* 60 _(180/hr)_ , *Poppy:* 18 _(54/hr)_ , *String:* 2 _(6/hr)_
Villagers often disconnect/reconnect to beds, reducing iron/poppy greatly, kittens do not burn and cats often appear with the villagers, reducing string critically. I surrounded it with glass to see green sparkles popping off regularly _(sitting the villagers on glass may help the cat-location-fail)_ . Replacing beds/WS did not improve things.
*_Badly flawed, but still the best iron farm for a quick build_*

Tip: if you don't have enough carrots then bread works too, I don't have an exact amount of bread but i used 1 stack of bread and 4 stacks and 47 carrots and they breeded fine
Brilliant! Finally an exploit that works for me.
Took me two afternoons to grow enough carrots, but it was a pretty easy build. Now I can finally make some real progress on my rail network!

I laughed when you said that the glass ceiling is optional because knowing me, I'd probably fall down there millions of times myself if I didn't cover it up, haha! (Especially now that the entrance/exit is just one block away from the edge of the farm and it happens that the lava block is right there in the perfect spot for you to fall down, get stuck and be destroyed in) 😂

Mr. Avo, I'm not a Bedrock player. as you know, but I can certainly appreciate the need for tutorials for Bedrock. I know, without your tutorials for Java, I'd be lost (well, maybe not lost but definitely not playing as well as I can) so it only makes sense that Bedrock should get some of those wonderful Avomance tutorials, too. I'll still watch as it continues to surprise me how much difference there is between Java and Bedrock...hm, ah, well, I guess even great programmers can't do it all! LOL

Love the video and your content as a whole. I did have to get painfully reminded that you can't have the spawn platform for the golems be made out of Glass....just had to go back and fix that. Also, this works very well up in the air instead of in the ground.

btw you can also build a machine in the corner with 2 hoppers, a composter, and a chest to recycle the poppies into bonemeal

@@kaidenbrown9144 you build and item sorter (you can find a tutorial on youtube) to sort out the poppies from the iron. From there use the hoppers to push poppies into the composter, then pull the bonemeal out it's slow, but over time you can get a good amount of bonemeal. Plus, it's better than having all of those poppies clogging up the chests.
I made mine next to my village and now I got to move at least 2 of them 100 blocks so I can start farming. Luckily I have over 100 rails so I can just use those
This needs more views and likes, I know you got more than 90 Bedrock players! Seriously, thanks for this. This is a simple one to get started, and only one chunk. If I can get this set up on World Spawn, it will always be loaded, so it will always be producing iron. Just one more one chunk farm to add to spawn. One of these days I am going to have a one chunk World Spawn farm tower going from bedrock to sky limit. XD Just need to make sure the outer wall are just outside the chunk for anything that doesn't roam to maximize space, roamers (like villagers) can go underground where I know they'll stay put and not walk off to oblivion. =P

why are iron goloms spawning out side of it, it was working fro a while then they started spawning above where they normally spawn
WORKS ON BEDROCK 1.20 REALMS, however would highly recommend placeing it 40+ blocks in the air rather than below ground level as mine wasnt working until i tried it away from anywhere the golems could spawn, and the golems had trouble spawning when i was within 40 blocks so i made a small waiting area 40 blocks directly underneath the bed level and it works like a charm.

@@cameronfarrell9076Try trapping a Zombie or drowned next to them to scare them so it kinda forces the golems to spawn and make sure the villagers are connected to no other beds or profession blocks (they have to be able to reach the professionblock so use them as wall pieces to trap them. If that dosnt work try making the platform larger, mine is about 15x15 with a 1 block wall around it. Also make sure to place half slabs anywhere there is a 3 block high space so that way they won't want to spawn anywhere but the platform you want them to. Anything other than that I cant think of.
When you build in sky does that mean you will just have a big hole? Kinda dumb question

Note about cats I learned while modifying and improving my farm:
We all know about "the mob cap".
What seems to be largely unknown is that there is more than one mob cap.
Cats are a 'passive' mob, like villagers and the farm animals.
Golems are a 'neutral' mob.
The cap is different for both, and they don't conflict. Neither of these mob types interferes with the spawning of 'aggressive' mobs, which is the mob cap we're all familiar with.
Yes, according to what I've read, you could have an entity cramming cow/chicken farm running right next to a mob loot farm. They shouldn't interfere, at least in unmodified single player.
On realms or private servers, the rules might differ.
Let the cats spawn. Turn them into string.
I don't play bedrock and probably never will, but this was still a nice watch! And I'm sure the bedrock players appreciate it. Thanks again Avo.

This is so simple! I’m definitely building this one at spawn in the Ultimate Survival World. I’ve been having a heck of a time getting some decent gear going.
The only thing I know is that the fletcher works in the rain and bedrock it rains ALL the time but I haven't looked at it in the 1.19 update so I might have changed
It has not. If anything it seems to rain more, and for longer periods. Once it rained recently for eight days (in-game) straight. Farm still ran, but I just stayed inside watching the whole time. The rain in Minecraft is somehow depressing.
Great build so simple! Only tricky bit is breeding the villagers but even that isn’t that difficult. I keep finding it stops working due to a golem spawning up on the top. Is there anyway to stop that.
Place leaves on top around a 16x16 area to prevent mobs from spawning.
The hole should be a total of 12 blocks deep. Avo misinterpreted directions when he copied the design from OinkOink

Holy moly this farm gave me like 5 stacks of iron in 50 mins
If it’s not working then:
-iron golems are spawning in some caves nearby
-iron golems are spawning somewhere on the ground so don’t build the farm on a mountain and if this is the case just place slabs at the places where the golems spawn
-some villagers died
-u are too far away from the farm
-there is not enough beds/workstations
-u have some green villagers (they can’t work)

i built mine in air with golems spawing outside of farm. any clue why that would happen and how to fix
mine worked and after 18 iron, it just stopped and i was so sad and used all of those materials. The golems spawned then just stopped and never spawned again. There are no caves near by, i have all of the villagers, and i afk farm it. im so sad. idk why this is happening
mine worked for three days until three zombies spawned and killed my villagers even with the jack o lantern still there and no gaps so the zombies spawned in the area with the villagers. do you know what happened?
@@lalapalabra maybe their could be nitwits? Green coat. Mine kinda did that too and killed some villagers and it suddenly started again. Just make sure to give them more wheat or carrots. If you see hearts when you kill then you are on right track
I'm on ps5 I'm on hard mode I set up the farm perfectly didn't get any spawns I'm on bedrock
Worked for me on both realms in on! Great farm! My friend had a complex one that took him 14 hours and this took me 1. One realm did have cave below it I wasn’t aware of but I didn’t have dirt to fill it in. Luckily I have a lava farm and just filled the entire with lava. Lose about 1/5 gollums that way but getting so much iron it doesn’t matter.

Will having a villager breeder nearby affect the rates? If so what distance should I build it away from it?
I did the same mistakes but I figured that the villager breeder should be 100 blocks away(same as from a village or any workstation).
when i tried to put the lava down i burnt myself and lost all my stuff😂

This farm worked perfectly for me. I would add that this isn't just an iron farm. It is also a string and poppy farm. It generates nearly as many cats as golems. I added a poppy recycler in the tunnel near my collection corner (2 chests, 2 hoppers, 1 composter) to compost the flowers into bone meal. No one needs hundreds of red poppies!
This is the best farm ever. I've tried to build another type of iron farm, I only put 10 villagers because if there is 20 2 iron golem will spawn and they won't fit in the 2x2 hole.
This has worked for me for about 2 weeks, but today the Iron Golems and cats would spawn everywhere EXCEPT the kill chamber, usually around and above the whole farm. Any fixes other than leaves/slabs?
that happened to me than i killed one and rebreeded hm it fixed it for like an hour than stopped working again

Thanked you for this farm already. Was churning out iron non stop. Suddenly, only cats are spawining as I post this to you. Built it next to a plains river. No underground caves. Any ideas? Could I have lost a villager somehow?
I’ve built this and they were spawning just not in the right place so I have spawn proofed the area with leaves and now none are spawning

Don't let any zombies, drowned, or pillagers near the farm at all! When villagers are scared eg. from a zombie, their spawn range increases and golems will spawn outside of the farm!!
Remove the leaves and kill any nearby zombies!
Works as of January 10, 2023. Just be sure to put the stone button blocks the next block diagonally juxtaposed to the glass panel, and be sure to place three tamed cats on glass I would suggest covering the hole with. The cats will keep more cats from spawning.

Mine mine isn’t working I did everything right what do I do?
the farm worked up until i had a stack of iron, then golems stopped spawning completely, any reason why that would happen?
i had this happen to me look under for a small cave.i found 2 golem hanging out in small cave
had to build this 80 blocks in the air, works great in creative. not to hot in survival. built the same way i don’t understand it but i’ve gotten 1 golem in 30 minutes

Yeah you can! Its even better because you don't have to worry about having iron golem spawning in caves underneath the world :)
I made this farm in a small river. I put slabs around the farm so golems only spawn in the farm. I think having Drawn around help the golems spawn faster. It's working pretty good. As I was finishing the last bit after putting the lava in. I am near a stack of iron already

@Avomance I noticed in the video you mentioned putting the glass pain on top of the hopper with shift click. But I'm playing on console can this still work on console I guess is the question.

works fine on xbox one, only issue is when my cats die in the lava, the string burns too, anyone know how i can make it so i can keep the string?
Try doing the fishing technique, and directly under the lava put a minecart with chest, that then drops into the hopper.
this farm worked for 3 days straight and suddenly 3 zombies spawned in with the villagers and now the farm is ruined
Put Torches/Light Sources
i think its simpler to just make a trading hall and use that format to spawn golems. yes you need to make sure the correct work station is lined up with the villager but doing that is better in the long run because you can trade with the villagers and get resources and experience from it as well. this is good yes but the extra effort of making a trading hall is better in the long run imo
brilliant farm avomance just wondering if you are able to put a roof of solid blocks on the farm?
I think that'll make iron golems spawn on the roof.

there's a reason why he says glass and not some random building block
