We sell Mystery Boxes for $23 or $28. The $23 option is a medium flat-rate box filled with as many dumpster dive finds as possible (Non-food items). The $28 comes with as many items that will fit but also comes with a memory foam pillow that retails for $25 online by itself. Either way, you get a great deal we are pretty much charging for the shipping and fees. I love how thorough your husband is when looking through the dumpsters.
I love how you guys fill the blessing boxes & organize at the same time. We have them in my neighborhood. I know the food bank begs ppl to take food..esp bc the fruit & veg expires. We even have a FREE FB site where ppl give anything for free to others. It's amazing. Instead of ppl throwing things out, they ask if anyone wants what they have. Sometimes it's even a meal. Some ppl don't have the luxury of getting food like we do, or making a meal. We donate as much as we can.
That's wonderful that you help out!
We dive at two different PetSmart's and we've score there often. Last week pet costumes and a couple crates. This week one costume, a mega sized litter box, a retractable leash, and more.
I enjoyed watching your hubby jumping on the mattress. Looked like fun. Lol I would love to dumpster dive in a staples dumpster. I really love stationary and office supplies. It's crazy how bad my addiction is. I also have an addiction to hair products/supplies. My family makes fun of me for it. The dumpster God's heard you say you wanted a Ninja grill and granted you your wish. 😊
I was trying not to laugh when he was recording that part. Oh I understand that lol I have an addiction to stationary and storage containers. LOL I will start filling a box of goodies for you! Oh I checked the purse and it needs new handles. The rest of the bag looks fine but it would need some new handles. That's funny because my hubby sometimes asks the kids and I what we want him to find and there have been so many times where he finds it. Sometimes the same day sometimes on the next dive or two. So this was a good find.

I have a feeling your channel is about to seriously blow up because of the currently failing economy. People are going to want to learn more about dumpster diving. As a teenager, I used to rummage through the school dumpsters for computer parts, metal, supplies, ect. Solid goods, always a great find.
I remember once upon a time, *flashes back decades* I had a roommate I nicknamed "Shermin the Vermin" He would dumpster dive for food. He found two bags of chicken wings that Aldi threw out. He BBQ'd them and served them at a wake for a deceased neighbor. Nobody had gotten sick, but still..... ;O

A lot of people use broken plates for crafts that towel rack and toilet rack you could sale it t o you can use a 5-gallon Paint Bucket to help you get in and out of the dumpsters I used to use one when I used to dumpster dive you can always put tape on those bags it's been open and you two should take some tape with you at all times to tape those that has holes in them they are other divers that take tape with him to tape up the bags of dog food and cat food that's on TH-cam

We find lots of dog food. You are so calm, relax when u dive. I’m always so nervous to get caught so I try to be fast. Great score
Most of the scrapping or apartment dumpsters we pretty much have permission or the owners are fine with it. We can take our time and some even call us to pick stuff up. The Amazon Fresh is the one that is hard for us. The videos are slowed down 10% for TH-cam so we can show you guys some of the stuff better. The rest of the retail isn't too bad because they don't really have too much security. We are usually more worried about stuff we come across in the dumpster, glass, nails sticking out from boards stuff like that. So we try not to get hurt while doing this. Thanks for watching and letting us know what you find. Dog food is a good score that always helps out.

I have gotten SO many usable and/or repurposable things from dumpsters! I've donated thousands of dollars worth of items. I even fed my dogs for a full year on high end food from the PetSmart dumpster!

Thank you so much for that. You are also helping us continue to do this by supporting our channel. My husband used to work full time for two ventilator companies last year during the peak of covid then after the demand dropped many ventilator companies laid people off. So we started doing this to make some money dumpster diving for scrap and usable items and it just grew into a lifestyle we see so much that's being thrown away. I used to be a caregiver before I started working from home and I have seen firsthand how little the elderly get in food assistance and now we see how much is thrown away. It's sad! Just wondering cuz my mom lives out there in Southern California and keeps trying to get me to come back. I know she could use some help, but she's so stubborn she probably wouldn't accept it....lol. She's a German native and can have that very stubborn streak. You know even if it doesn't affect me directly, I really do appreciate what you and your husband do for others. You guys are amazing! Does your husband ever get caught or confronted by employees? He's very thorough and takes his time. I'd be too nervous to stay so long. I've been confronted before and it's not fun.
The only places where we have to worry about security is Amazon Fresh and Bed Bath & Beyond. The security at those places are very strict. We already got caught before. All the industrial places the owners are fine with it some even call him to pick stuff up. He always cleans up after himself and even talks to workers and lets them know what he's doing so they don't feel uncomfortable or think he's up to no good. Good luck!

My daughter used to survive off of Aldi dumpster but they told her no more and put up cameras. It was devastating to her.

We found a new one we are keeping an eye on.
That Bed Bath and Beyond we showed only puts out their dumpsters for a short period then removes them and only certain times during the year brings it out again.

I live in San Antonio and we can't even dumpster dive at the Dollar Tree or Family Dollar Dollar General none of them they only have a dumpster outside to put cardboard in and paper trash actually I'm not even sure what they do with the other stuff if they send it back somewhere or what I don't know I really wish we could
That happens to us a lot with our local Petco everytime we go it's just cardboard and paper trash. We have only found it once where it was really full. You should try to go everyday for 1-2 weeks. Write down what days and times the trash trucks come by and see if they fill up the the dumpsters the day before or the same day it gets picked up. The day we found all the bed bath & beyond Ugg comforters the trucks were already picking up at other stores. We got so much and other days there's not too much. Let us know how it goes.
