I live in England and we have several people who sell a magazine called the " Big issue " the people who sell it are struggling, as they buy the magazines on a Monday & it depends on how many they sell & get donations, the lady I give food and a hot drink and extra money as she has to travel a 80miles around trip. People just walk past her, thinking that she is begging but she is actually working

I love how you do so many different things with your food and item findings, like cooking all those eggs up and making egg salad and freezing some, then making egg borritos and bringing them to the Homeless Shelter, how awesome is that! You can also put the eggs in cupcake liners and freeze them and when they are frozen, just take them out and put them either in a bread bag or a zip lock bag.

Then it don't go to waste in that regard either. Just sharing that thought for what it's worth. :) *PS: I hadn't finished the entire video so then I heard what you said about the animals! Lol :)
I wonder if you're aware that you could also dehydrate and powder the surplus eggs. Our Excaliber dehydrator has special mesh tray liners for liquids and purees, and we make our own jerky and fruit roll-ups in it. It has temperature control so it doesn't overcook things. When we have surplus mushrooms or eggs, we dry them. For eggs, we use a stick blender to beat them smoothly and pour on the tray liners, following the manufacturers directions. Then we powder them in the food processor and store it in mason jars, in a dark cupboard. To use, beat 1 Tablespoon of powder wiith 2 Tbsp of warm water, and cook as usual for scrambled eggs, or beat into batters for baked foods. I also powder dried mushrooms to add a richer flavor to gravies, stock and soups.
Oh no. Don't put the cheesie stuff next to the sunny side of the pantry.. No melty things like marshmallows either. Very sound advice on preserving eggs. I love to make seasoned potatoes & freeze a serving in small bags. Then freeze the mixed eggs. When I thaw one of each, I mix them for perfect potatoes & eggs.

In our state, all prepared food which is handed out and sold must be prepared in a county DOH certified kitchen by people with State DOH (administered by the Ckunty DOH) food handlers card. There were some exceptions for baked goods but I know the laws and definitions changed a bit in 2021 to address food tables, Blessing Boxes, etc... Somewhere in the mix, a 501c charity or other organization has to take responsibility and carry the insurrance to cover home-baked goods. Most of the schools in more populated counties and areas do not have bake sales nor allow home-baked goodies like birthday cupcakes; they must arrive in a grocery store or other bakery container.
You guys should invest in a freeze dryer and freeze dry your eggs and other stuff to make it last longer and give you more room to save more stuff. I freeze dry my chickens eggs , milk, potatoes, fruits etc.you can even freeeze dry pre-made meals for latter .
Another possibility might be to freeze dry soooo many eggs and you can use them when you need them. Also a possibility for herbs, onions, garlic, fruits…..if you have a freeze dryer

We have a decades old, large scale composting company in our area of several counties. A near by city requires by law that both commercial and residential items that can be composted must be composted by law hwhicnis supported by fines. Because they do hot composting, they can and do take much more than produce. Between enouragement to compost, the cost of landfill garbage, the encouragement either by Corporate or local government to prevent dumpster diving and rats, etc...many grocery stores have compost only compactors. We do have State liability and taxation laws 3ncoiraging direct donation to our 3xtensive food bank and emergency food net works but, since the contraction in the grocery and also the liability insurance industries few do. Our laws even cover donations from train and semi-truck wrecks but those aren't used any more; often the goods are transported out of State and then disposed of.

Just to let you know that if you store your coffee in the freezer it will stay fresh longer. Love all the channels and your family
