Great figures and terrain and game scenario. During turn 2 when the reserve German units were coming on, should they not all have been subject to an order test with -1 to get on the table?

Seems as much as I read the rule book, every time I play or go to a tournament, someone pulls out a national characteristic or rare rule I'm not familiar with (bicycles, bamboo spear squads etc.). In addition to enjoying these videos for the terrain and nice figures etc. it also reinforces the ruleset understanding, so like to ask when something seems different or maybe forgotten. Many a games I've played, we realize the next day we did something a bit "off"! Once again great video!

@@overthetopgaming8498 I think too around the 1:17 mark when the German squad is firing, I don't think the LMG loader gets to shoot, so you should have shot with one less rifle. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
The Soviets standing at the foot of the building and shooting upwards and killing units on the second floor of the building, seems an unrealistic rule. Unless the casualty was in the window, I can’t see how it could happen realistically in a brick or stone building?
As far as I know these are all Warlord minis. I do have a squad of Northstar miniature Soviet Naval troops I'll be painting up soon. The buildings are from various producers of stl files. The train station was from Wow buildings.
Gentlemen: Wow, that was really nicely made terrain. Were the buildings homemade or were they commercial kits? The throw-terrain was great too as was the railway infrastructure and the base mat. I find it amusing that ever since the movie "Enemies at the Gate" came out there is an almost obligatory dry fountain in every Stalingrad scenario! Not a criticism; I do it too. As always the miniatures were lovely and truly caught the flavour of the units which were fighting in and around Stalingrad. My goodness, the game was a slaughter-fesr, but that's Bolt-Action rules for you. When you finish the series of Bolt Action games and if you're not sick of Stalingrad scenarios entirely, you might look into playing the same scenarios again but with different rule sets. I would recommend trying either Chain of Command or Fireball Forward as rules variants. You might be surprised at how each game turns out quite differently when played with different rules. Thanks again for your great gamesmanship and good humour in the face of either pathetic or formidable die rolls. Thank you for your craftsmanship and thank you for sharing these most enjoyable video battle reports. Cheers and be well. Rod.
Thanks again! The terrain are all built off of finished stl files. Some of them are re-scaled. The scatter terrain are files i built with assorted other files 😆. The fountain was actually called for in this scenario and I'm glad it saw some action although not so happy my troops were frozen inside it. We really like the hand to hand resolution in BA as it's quick and decisive. Looking at other systems might be an option down the road. We're already working on Dark Ages battles using Saga so that's next on the block. Thanks again for taking the time. The next scenario is going to be epic!
Lads this has to be the best batt rep for me, I’m just starting with my terrain for Stalingrad I’ve done up the same fountain I can show you if you have a Facebook addy. Also please please can you give me a heads up on your craters as these are essential for my plans now I’ve seen how well you’ve done yours.
Hello, I came across to this by complete random chance but I would recommend a little background music, something very subtle would improve greatly, even ambient sounds would work great.If you have the chance, try to combine both.Good luck!
Not sure here but when you did the flame thrower hits in the building you rolled for kills and you said "Same as usual for hits" , and you only counted over 4 hits, but the flame thrower hits harder than a "normal" "to kill" roll. I think it's +3 (or maybe a +2, cant recall😂) I think you should have killed on a 1 up not 4 for regular and a 2 up for veterans. Flamethrowers basically , if they hit you're going to burn!! 😂 Don't forget the flame thrower already has to hit first , then roll a high d6 to get enough in the one hit , so the "to kill" roll is only fair it's a fairly easy kill.

On reaction fire, you actually suffer from a -1 penalty to hit.

Thanks for the comments much appreciated! The craters were cobbled together from scatter terrain files and a crater stl found on the net.
