Huge thanks for your positive comments, much appreciated… glad you enjoyed the game, the campaign will run right the way through to the battle of Berlin…. So plenty more to come!
Glad you enjoyed it, it was a fun game and the first of a series Michael and I will be playing… we plan to work through the march to Stalingrad and back to Berlin or the next year or so. Thanks for the comment, it is very much appreciated 👍🏻
@@theministryofminiatures Great to hear - just keep doing what you're doing, it is appreciated. You guys put a lot of thought into your scenarios, your tables and your miniatures, so the least I can do is feedback positively. All the very best!
Enjoyed this and given it a thumbs up, tempted to subscribe BUT constant camera close ups and few views of the entire table as this battle develops left me wondering if I want to watch more. 🤔
No problem, thanks for the thumbs up 👍🏻 it’s all recorded and edited on my mobile phone so limited by that… …some people like the close ups as it shows the soldier view, but I know some like the bigger view of the battlefield, thanks for the feedback.
At the 1:55 mark, the KV hits the Hanomag and puts a pin but no damage. You guys then took infantry casualties? I thought you only rolled for infantry casualties if the vehicle was destroyed? Did I get this wrong?
Michael fired HE so used the 4” template and hit both the hanomag and the infantry stood next to the hanomag due to their close proximity. Hope this explains?
@@rossburkenstock4939 no, we made a scenario up ourselves to fit in with our campaign and what we thought was historical! Hope you liked it? We may use some scenarios from the campaign books for future campaign battles.
Haha, yes, unfortunately with Christmas, New Year and some personal things across the group we have had to wait until now to get a game in 😉😂🤪. Hoping 2024 will be a good year for the channel and will see many a battle report 👍
Finally a bolt action battle report that isn't just full of boring infantry. Nice mix of tanks and other units makes the game more interesting to watch.
Fantastic video & What a huge game! Thanks for sharing! Where do you get the "base marker" for your BEAR miniature? I have been looking for this type of thing for years to designate "hero" characters!
Thank you for the positive comments, it was a fun game! I bought the bases a few years ago, but I don’t think they are produced anymore… I keep looking for more as they are very handy, but am still to find some more! Thanks again
So glad to see another Battle Report, and what a doozy! Very excited with the start of this campaign from you guys. Really great battle also...the map, armies and scenarios were all top class! I know it's very early into this Campaign, but do you plan on doing other campaigns in the future also? Thanks again for the video and Happy New Year to you all! ☺️
Thanks as always! Yes, it was a great game, we have a fair few planned out… the latter ones around Berlin will need some preparation to get the buildings and troops sorted for it, but we have time. The next battle in a months time will be a battle for a Soviet village which is a key staging point for the German invasion… We have talked about a Sicily and Italian campaign, but not agreed anything yet! Also fancy either Black Powder or Sharp Practice campaign too! What theatre do you like best?
@@theministryofminiatures That sounds great. Completely understand how big these campaign battles are to plan as well as the time and money involved. Looking forward to it! Yeah that all sounds great mate 👍 probably North Africa, but honestly happy with any! Saw a really good Arnhem/Market garden campaign recently which was very good too. Take care mate :)
Yes, it all takes a fair amount of time… …filming, editing, uploading etc is all done on my mobile, so takes a good few hours for each stage. I must say, I do fancy a North Africa campaign… might have to see if Olaf is up for a fee linked battles!
1941 and the launch of Op Barbarossa in my opinion would be early war, especially given the equipment etc they use. But happy if you think otherwise 🤷🏻♂️👍🏻
Calling out the arc of the machine gun was just a really bad friend move. Obviouslyy when he placed it it didnt look like he mwant to angle it in such a way...why woild he point it in a sub optimal direction on purpose? My first video from you guys ive seen and i dont think ill be watching more. Clearly the guy didnt intent to set his machine gun team NOT facing forward to maximize his field of fire
No problem, sorry you didn’t enjoy it, but rules state the MMG have an arc of fire, always best to check, otherwise why have the rule… he clearly positioned it to cover the road, he was convinced I would use the road to get across the board quickly, so again best to check, especially as he moved the MMG facing to aim at the 88. sorry if that ruined it for you.
Really… Neither of us were stressed, Michael is a little rusty with the rules, but that shouldn’t be an issue. He certainly enjoyed the game, and as these are his figures and his own scenario I can’t think why he would sound stressed… 🤷🏻♂️
Awesome thank you 😁
Great video and thanks to Michael for his awesome scenery and death rattles!
