Best cameras on farm are Swann max range 4K. They are wireless Solar charge and go upto 600m line of sight 200m past obstacles. Have uses all sorts of wifi cameras which suffer from drop outs and lack of range. These work as advertised. Well worth it. Triggers on vehicles and people.
The sparky we use, now can move along his driveway without being recorded. the the other security cameras take over. NO commercial unit at all. The sparky created it all.
I would put a UPS on it. Plus i would only record on motion that way data is being recorded for no reason! Also putting in the “fridge” it will get way too hot.
Yer fridge not an ideal spot, will need to put a fan on it or move it I think. And no I want recording 24/7, the problem with a “farm” is where things like fuel tanks and chemical is a camera wouldn’t trigger from motion unless you had a camera sitting on them, so having it record 24/7 means I can just looks back through the footage and find the incident I need if required
It could be worth trying lowering the workshop camera to the level of the fluorescent light at the end of the building. If you were to do this you might find the image improved compared to the view from higher up. Also if you’re not getting enough detail try moving the camera to a position along the back wall so the image is focused on anyone entering through the door in greater detail. A better image which might allow you to identify a possible offender is more use than just being able to see a less defined person in the distance. If this works you might also want to try lowering the mounting position of the outside cameras too. You could attach them to the wall instead of the facia. Not sure if this will make a lot of sense but trial and error will help you come up with the best solution. Good luck.
Do you need security for your shop? Have you had things get midding from the shop? OR did RED-Link security give you such a deal for advertising that you couldn't pass up so why not?
Yer we do, haven’t had any fuel stolen in recent years but my uncle across the road had around 5000L stolen a few years ago. Always good to have the security before you need it
We had Reolink cameras, software and apps and found they were more in the domestic market (night vision quality was ordinary). Since gone to commercial cameras systems they use on building sites, chalk and cheese.
That one near the birds nest could make a good roosting spot 😂😂
Haha yes a very real possibility

Your going to have hours of Dexter footage now😂
A suggestion I’d make is having a UPS just in case you loose power to make it a bit more bulletproof.

Gee, thanks, now I can work out how to get all your lovely tools ;-)
Haha the downside of filming it all 🤦♂️
@@tomsbrookfarm : I'm not silly, you'll probably change it around. I like my freedom ;-)

At the end of the year you should put up the Dexter Cam

Might be worth putting a camera on the back of the shed to cover your blind spot.
Yer 100% I think that’s where I’ll put the fourth camera when I have the correct cords

You can make the video quality better on your phone touch the low button when the camera is open should make it 4k
