( a long one sorry ) 1) Great drone footage 2) Hard to believe that bin holds 100t compared to the size of mother bins. 3) I went to a ELD clearing sale down there about 20 yrs ago and they had heaps of field bins open tops and mesh cones. I was told that rain goes straight through them and it’s not a problem. i know guys who dump grain in heaps during harvest and they say normal rain is not a problem. 4) Harvesting anything is good , but you’re never really harvesting until you get into wheat. 😀😀
if you doin belts check (in off season ) all the idler//tenshion pully bearings and use a cheap laser to check the alinment (best iis the shed shade )ie are they all on same plane one or two mill dif willll wear the side of the belt and then start the destruction
It’s okay JH we all now know that you are real, it was starting to look like a highly edited blockbuster Tv series there for a while. Now everyone can relax about their problems with their harvest. 😂
Hi JR would like to donate but don't know how to get it to you it would be in US dollars great cause I went through the removal process a number of years ago like your videos and equipment

What's the market like at the moment JH? Back in the 60s when I left the farm at Tarin Rock, Dad was getting a great return for wheat n barley. When I was doing Crop Ins(Federation Ins) in the 80s it had dropped a little. Really been out of contact with any of things to do with farmers apart from watching you vloggers. Thanks for your work n stay safe. The Ole Fella Greg
Thanks
Your farm is so well-organized and productive
Oh the joys of being a cropper but nothing you can't handle with that team
Just found your videos today I have watched a few really interesting enjoying seeing what you do in Australia compared with us in Scotland
Great to see an aussie you tuber streaming farming vids... Nice to see your getting a good yield on the wheat..👍🌾

Did you see how close you were to hitting that line when you filmed brian driving of. You were lucky
Love the drone footage 👍
Mumma's don't let your boys grow up to be ... farmers. Ah, the joys of farming. There are some.

I noticed you had a close encounter, drone vs power line.
Sorry if its a repeat question but is there any meaning behind the field bin names? PS1 ETC.
What part of Western Australia are you in? What is the name of the area?

Markets are definitely improving. But as every farmer will tell you that need to be higher! 😂
@@tomsbrookfarm Thanks mate. Always the same, alotta effort for not much gain. Hasn't changed then.
If you are hoping for 2.5t/h yield. What would you your costs be for the year? 1t/h?
How Wide is the 100t?
How much does the chase bin hold (tonns)
Maybe an odd question, but why do you guys tend to use corrugated iron roof sheets on your roofs on your homes rather than tiled, etc?
It’s relatively cheap and the sound it makes when rains hits it is music to a farmers ears
In rural areas, it’s more resistant to wildfire ember attacks.
Tiled are very heavy on a roof tin beautiful sound of rain on it
It’s also better in summer, the tiles absorb heat whereas corrugated iron reflects the heat. Way less lighter and cheaper and easier to work with.
Looks better than tiled and a lot lighter in weight on the roof.
Hey mate, so how much grain does the headers hold? And the chaser?
About 10-11 ton of wheat do the headers. And 30 ton of wheat in the chasers
@@tomsbrookfarm Thanks for answering mate, appreciated
Instead of field bin why don't you use a mother bin
Thats a good question. Possibly don't use because of the different crops...😊
what did you say tom 465h omg
what’s with the blame Canada on PS4
No, that’s the one they purchased “Before Christ” 😂😂😂😂😂
A Canadian crew member got too close to the bin with a pc of equipment & sliced a tear into the side spilling the grain to the ground
I'm impressed seeing a Aussie wearing jeans and not booty shorts and fuzzy socks
I didnt know Canola was black
