They also said the sample materials stated in the manual would ship separately. I e-mailed them and they should be on the way! I agree with the manual it's so hard to read! The digital version is much better. It is mobile friendly too. I won't even close the tab😂

Agreed! It is certainly a heavy machine to uncrate and lift, two people with the lifting straps makes it so much easier. Thanks so much for commenting and watching our video!

great interdiction on Monport 55 w laser i have bought one too but not enough information on the laser machine on the net specally on material cutting and engraving chart for speed and power setting i have tried few times it burn the material and started fire and now there is whole on the laser lens so the Monport is going to replace it dont know why you are right on the owner manual all misprint so if you have material test cut setting and engraving that would big help for others as well to share . thanks . Yes, we had the air assist on. It was our first material test and the machine is pretty powerful, so we will just make adjustments and fine tune our settings. It does not have the red dot, the camera works for aligning.
The Laser Channel has the original onyx, there was a dongle that was needed in order for the laser to fire, that feature is not there. The water reservoir is on the opposite side and some minor differences. The emergency stop was more recessed in the original
Hi! Thanks for your question. We didn't own the original so we aren't completely sure. It is our understanding they made some updates/modifications to the machine, moved/removed some parts and we have seen comments from others that it has a new auto-focus function. From what we gather the Onyx R is more refined version of the original Onyx.

On the cut test, did you have air assist on? I ask because it looked a bit charred. Oh yeah...does it have a red dot for framing?
