Yep, classic 40Ts in old 4ah pack. They can do 30A before they reach 80c, and new tabless ones can do 50A before 80c, so quite a decent power bump and they also have much higher peak loads. Eve is a small disappointment yeah, they don't look best on some preliminary cycle life tests but at least they can all provide the same amount of power so no worries in that department. Thanks for opening them and checking, really appreciate it 😊
@@onikwa this aint worldwide , its america and as far as i can tell dewalt and Milwaukie are the biggest suppliers into trade there and bosch is more a big box store supplier for diyers in europe
@onikwa that sounds like you're including the entirety of Bosch's revenue (dishwashers, e-bike motors, automotive parts, etc). Should only count their power tool division, but I dount they publish that level of detail.
Thanks for this, I almost brought a t-pwr battery and hikoki 1/2 router, but now i figure might as well just get xgt tools and tabless batteries and get the full potential. In fact, that hikoki battery is just annoying me now. Some half baked latest technology, what could have been!😠

How is EVE is the worst? They are the same price as ampace, they have the lowest voltage sag and the best lifespan in abusive cycle testing. A loss of only 5.6% after 300 abusive cycles. Ampace appear to be a bit unstable and can suffer from random voltage drops in storage that can brick a whole pack
Because it's from Chinese company that's why.... I'm from Southeast Asia, uses Chinese brands tool whose battery uses EVE cells, it definitely longer lasting than my friends junk Milwauke battery....many of this tool TH-camrs rarely uses their tool outside of video making.....

Great video tools. It's Interesting to see the difference in the types of cells.
Thanks for the vid, great info.
FYI, Dewalt is also using the Ampace JP40 cells
Yes the FORGE TABLESS have a Coating saw it at PIPE LINE
I would guess the Murata has the best quality. Made in Japan still top
Ampace JP40 can be very good
They actually should be called Multi Tabs
kinda strange without Dewalt who I suspect are the biggest sellers by some margin? i just bought into that 36v makita for those bigger draw tools
Biggest? I wouldn't bet on that lol
Worldwide, Bosch is the biggest selling power tool company and it's not even close.

Rigid 4ah max output exp is advertising 21700 tabless. would love to see you break one down
Meanwhile, we still cant get the BL4040F in the US unless it's for $300 on eBay 😔
You'll get 'em one day, along with the 100 or so tools you haven't gotten yet.
Meh, we cant buy slimline 2ah 18v batteries at all no matter what.
They are coming this quarter no worries ;)
@@riba2233 I hope you're right!
@@PhillyFixed yeah it was shown in the latest US catalogue
I really want KKR to sell Hikoki and Metabo to someone that cares. Unfortunately I think they're just going to be run into the ground.
I wish Hitachi would just buy back the Hikoki tool division from KKR and make them good again.
yeah we can only hope, we need competition in the market
Who’s KKR
💯% especially in australia.

I've given up on the 4040F coming out in the UK. It's been over a year now.
That's my only disappointment with XGT so far.
Keep emailing and annoying Makita UK until they get their shit together. now that the US has released it, I imagine the UK will soon follow.
@@BuildsStuff I will try that. I went to a demo day at my local tool shop in July and the rep had little to no knowledge of it.
You are beyond spoiled if that is your first disappointment. (Spoken in American)
Ig UK situation is due to brexit, rest of europe has had it for a while.

I'm curious about the German Metabo tabless batteries that are not compatible with the Chinese Metabo HPT tools

This video makes me crave salsa for some reason.
Metabo hpt hasnt come out with the tabless batteries. Have they? In the states i mean
Not in the states.
Milwaukee did a great job with the newer batteries with the air vent on the bottom.
Great way to fill the battery up with dust and dirt.
Honest question. Does it matter if dust and dirt get inside?
@@philodox7599If it’s non-conductive…not really.
Ah the old "cut into the Li-Ion battery and see what happens" segment.
Hopefully Fire and Emergency New Zealand are on standby?
Did you notice I was restrained and didn't actually put the clip in for a change.
@@BuildsStuff Thanks. The new LiIon battery smoker is a nice new ending.
Dewalt Powerpack?
Also ampace cells
