Sir , I think he is the same governor of Kashmir who is very famous in kashmiri folklore. According to the folklore, he was very benevolent governor under whose period kashmiri pandits were not persicuted. He was somewhat interested in Kashmir shaivism. It is said that he had a vision of Bhagwan Shiv in his dream. And when he woke up he wrote the famous peom, praising lord Shiva in Persian. " Huma asle maheshwar bud shab Shahi ki man deedam.........". Its a long peom and one can find it on TH-cam.

Ali Mardan Khan had his residence in Delhi in a area called Kashmiri Gate. This residence was 1km. from Redfort. He also built a canal here from Jhajhar to Dehi. The canal passes throgh Channi Cowk. His residence was taken over by Dara Shikoh, who used it as a library. It is situated in a 20 acre campus. Durin British time it was converted into a Polytechnic & an engrr. college. My Father used to work there & we lived inside the campus. in 1980 Engnrr. college was shifter to a new campus at outskirts of Delhi & Kashmiri Gate campus was converted into Guru Gobind Singh University. In2010 the G/G/S/ university was shifted to a new campus. Old campus becam Ambedker University. I am happy to see this video, as it has lot of info.
Wahhhh It happend so, i married a girl from Lahore(from my relatives) one day she asked me to visit a shrine in Mughalpura, just pray that Allah may bless us with a boy baby. When we reached there i read that Ali Mardan was Chief architecture of Mughals...i agitated and cried "this is not a saint!" Anyhow she prayed and i carried on seeing the double tomb and underground grave etc. His tomb is indeed a sturdy building. After a year we got a baby girl 😂 Today i come to know his real story.

Love your work and style of storytelling. But if please don't mind, I want to draw your attention to a word we educated in Pakistan often misuse is "دارلخلافہ" instead ofدارلحکومت or دارالسلطنت. I hope you don't mind to pay some attention to it next time. Thanks.
Sir I tried to reach his tomb which lies between the railway properties ..tunnel is open though the gate of Ali mardan grave is locked ... u can't go inside the grave ..there is also another shrine nearby...read the description of Ali mardan on Wikipedia...he is termed as "served mughal with distinction" 😀😀 and he is written as Kurdish
Kurdish is correct. And I think of late the Department of Archaeology has tried to kill the making of this man a saint. Twenty years ago, women, especially women, were ardent worshippers of this tomb. Every Thursday they congregated here and prostrated in front of the underground cenotaph.
I have not delved into the history of the Arbabs. I cannot say who they served and how they managed to retain their properties. Could have been given these by the British.

Such an item must have support of original sources. Or viewers will just dismiss it as bunkum. And thanks for the appreciation, Himanshu.

Always a treat to watch and listen to Salman Rashid. Btw, I find an astonishingly striking similarities between Ali Mardan's canal and Peshawar BRT 😅
The canal and Peshawar BRT are two faces of the same thing.
Thank you Sir

Did I use dar ul khilafa? I try not to use Arabic words. But your point is noted,
