    Yes, something definitely creates a more conducive environment for my studying. I like silence as ı study. Besides, it includes my voice should also be turned off since ı can thoroughly focus my subjects only if ı keep myself away from noises and even a little sound. Beyond that, ı prefer to get a bottle of water, or a cup of sorts of drinks that are necessary for getting rid of my thirst. To be honest, ı had heard from somewhere which ı do not recall particularly, but drinking while studying or reading something that requires a full focus helps this activity because the human brain demands accommodating of these thirsty needs.

    Please help me with this question!!! I've never taken an Ielts exam before, so I wonder that: when the examiner asks me: Do you work or are you a student?. So if I answer that "I'm a student", then the examiner will just ask me questions about "study", right?
    Please help me T_T
    Thank you so much!

    That's not my first choice as ı was taking part in the university entrance exam in my country. I mean, in the first place, ı had chosen to start with a history department at one of the universities in my city. Nevertheless, ı do not regret it since communication is an interdisciplinary field, meaning that students can enhance their knowledge and diversify their abilities and working fields after graduation.

    Can we use "dilly-dallying" for spending time doing nothing productive instead of studying, is it common in English?

    Do anyone know specific word for the skills which are needed for attaining career 😅

    • @SuccesswithIELTS
      @SuccesswithIELTS  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that depends on the sort of career you want to have, but most careers are mapped out over a long period so you could talk about having good planning skills, or attributes like persistence. =]

    How far is it standard to answer in ielsts with one line or one sentence of a question what he has used several times?

    • @SuccesswithIELTS
      @SuccesswithIELTS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      2-3 lines should be enough but not all of them can be answered that way. Treat it like a conversation; if they examiner wants to hear more, they will ask.

    I'm a student. I'm doing a grade in communication faculty at Marmara University. By the way, my major is journalism. I'm in my last year of undergrad. I'm planning to enter some scholarship exams after taking the İELTS Academic as this scholarship provides opportunities for students to go abroad for post-grad education.

    İdealistically, to be honest, if ı could, ı'd like to start with a medical school or law school because these occupations have global recognition, meaning that someone from any part of the world is relatively finding a host of unemployment opportunities compared to the other kind of occupations.

    The correct phrase is "fount of knowledge," and it is often used metaphorically to describe someone who possesses a vast amount of knowledge or information.
    Example:
    "He is a fount of knowledge when it comes to historical facts."

    • @SuccesswithIELTS
      @SuccesswithIELTS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for adding this. It turns out that both "fount" and "font" are acceptable though "font" is more common in US English and "fount" is more often used in UK English.
      Since there are no similar collocations to this, the meaning remains clear despite the difference in spelling (and perhaps pronunciation). =]

    Rory and Maria say how to express if we're doing a postgrad, and but how can one express if one's doing an undergrad?
