@@user-sc6ht2tm8g hi I would suggest practising how to quickly locate the answer. For eg. look for nouns, numbers or dates in the questions and locate the same in the passage. Also solve heading questions or summary questions at the end because by then you would already have read the full passage this way you can save time and answer accurately!

@@sadik_77 I would suggest you identify your weak spots for eg. fluency or vocabulary and work on them. Focus on speaking with good pronunciation and without pauses. Use simple ideas so that you don’t have to think too hard about what to say next.

The traps were made to adjust the test more fairly for test takers showing that hard work and determination is the only way to succeed. Meanwhile, the things we considered the tips and shortcuts to boost our score are surprisingly detrimental, or so. Thank you a lot for making this video and fully explaining not only about speaking but also a major part of everyone's IELTS journey.

@@sharanpreetkaur3654 The break down is this : Reading 7.5 Speaking 8.5 Listening 8.5 and Writing 8.5 .
I took time to practice all Chris taught in his videos. I dedicated 4hrs daily to watch videos and practice, not the entire 4hrs in one sitting no but an hour per module at different times of the day but I did practice each module everyday. Initially the modules were confusing but after consistently practicing for a week they became easier for me to handle. You can also do it my dear, don’t give up on yourself. Keep practicing not just watching Chris’ videos and God will grant you success.

I have to remind myself that this is a SPEAKING test and not a KNOWLEDGE test. It's not about how much I know, but about how well I can confer my opinion about a topic
Hi Chris, I just received my IELTS test result a few minutes ago, and all I want to say is thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't thank you enough. Your videos helped me prepare for the test. I tried some other channels, and most of them were based on some kind of tricks to crack each part. Yours is the only channel that explains all the nitty-gritty to all the viewers. I watched your free fundamentals IELTS course and some of your videos on specific parts (LRWS). That's what helped me crack the IELTS with an overall band score of 7. My scores are as follows:
Listening 7.5
Reading 7
Writing 6 (I wrote in simple English and didn't use any advanced grammar, and that was my fault)
Speaking 7

This is fabulous. In a world of short cuts and hacks, your wise words are a breath of fresh air. As a tutor, I see my students struggling to use vocabulary and idioms that are way out of context but drilled in their minds by these quick fix modes of cracking the test. @@myplace571 hey i did reasonably well i think. I got 8 bands overall. Reading-9, Listening-8.5, Speaking-8, Writing-7. Only tip i would give is, practice ur weaker section. If ur reading is weak, work on that. Also the exam atmosphere is scaryy, very tense and bone chilling (for me). Just take deep breaths and dont get nervous. I got nervous and that made it difficult for me to focus on writing hence the 7 band score. I sincerely think its easy to score 9 band if you are well-versed and confident in you english skills! Goodluck!

Thanks a lot. Initial days of preparing for IELTS I studied such magic five words to get band 9 in speaking and greeting an examiner. But one day I saw your name in a comment box on a Malayalam channel. Then I started to learn from your videos I got the real way of cracking the test. On my first attempt, I got band 6.5. The examiner asked one question quite often: “Why?”
So, for every answer I gave, I had to prepare for my next answer to justify it.
Practice answering “Why?”, I think this helps a lot.
Yes you have to give reasons for your answer. Was being asked why alot.
Also part 1 is not that straight forward. Like I was asked about fishing and mining. Not the usual related to me questions.
