this is almost a crime the way almost all reviewers just glance over the s-pen. It's not Samsung's fault that the reviewers are not creative individuals. The S-pen is by far the single most powerful tool that any phone ever offered. i cannot stress the fact enough how many times I have made commissioned artworks in my note phone and they never could tell it wasn't made in Photoshop and PC. it is the best tool for anyone who doesn't have or cannot afford a Wacom tablet.

@@andyH_England The s pen is a feature that weighted on my the decision to buy a note. I don't use it very often, but in some situations when I want to take notes or doodle, it is super handy.
I wouldn't trade it for bit more battery, even with my low utilization of the pen.

The S-Pen is a gimmicky feature 🤷🏻‍♂️ I certainly rarely used it when I tested the Note 10+. I used it once and totally forgot it was even there before returning it (it had a lot of bugs and glitches).

I switched from the s21 ultra and I tought I would regret it, since everyone says, "it's almost the same" and it is, but it has something, don't know what, that feels better, more premium, better screen, more fluid, better battery life, the 100x zoom is better; I use it like binoculars some times. And even if don't use the spen often, there's some times you are grateful is there, even if you haven't used it in a month.

I love this phone and agree with you. The only thing I disagree on is the battery life is decent. I get about 6.5 to 7.5 hours of SoT. My S21 Plus usually got 8

@@nnunez0929 I have heard that from alpt of people and heard some say they only get 4hrs of screen time. But for me I get 8hrs and 9hrs daily. But I only use my phone on TH-cam for music and videos a out 4 hrs a day. Twitter HBO max and Instagram and that's about it. So maybe that's why? But I also use 120hz and vivid screen setting. But I only go to about 35 percent brightness also. But for me I get good battery life. Now I forgot to say that I only charge mine until 85 to 90 percent max. It helps with the battery lifespan and seems to make my battery last a little longer than it did when charging to 100 percent

@@neelsrivastava3928 I think it's great imo. Now I use my phone to use TH-cam the most. I'm watching and listening to TH-cam vids for atleast 4 hrs everyday. So TH-cam Instagram and Twitter are the only apps i use most the time. Now I also use 120hz with vivid setting. On brightness I stay around 30 percent and it's bright enough for me there. Now with all that I get around 9hrs of screen time and it's changes very little at times. Some days it's 8hr screen time and some 10hrs so it goes down and uo a little. Now I got mine a couple months ago. And was wondering forever before getting it. Because I had the oneplus 8 pro which had perfect battery life and 120hz and was a gorgeous display. So I seen alot of bad reviews on the ultra and it's battery life being just 4 hrs and how the phones would crash etc. Now I'm sure you've seen some reviews that said similar things. But I went ahead and got the ultra. And I got to say it's awesome fr. Fast asf the display is phenomenal the s pen gives great features also. Now again I don't use my phone like others might. So if what I listed is similar to your usage? Then you definitely will love it if not? Then you might be like some of the reviews I've seen and not like it?

The creative and professional potential this device has in it is astounding. Jot down a note, make a sketch, create a gif, do it all while recording your voice... It's all there. One UI is the definite best Android skin in terms of creative and multitasking capabilities imo and I'd argue that some of this creative multitasking potential is wasted on this phone's screen. While being an absolute unit in smartphone screen terms, it's small for fitting a lot of split screen and pop-up view action in. But that's where Samsung DeX and S Pen come in, so there's a lot of input richness to this device. Grabbing this phone to use it as a second brain is such an attractive idea, but yeah, 1200 bucks is hard to swallow tbh. I'd advise people to grab a midranger phone and a Samsung tablet w/ S Pen for less (in the USA, deals of flagship Samsung devices are crazy good but us 3rd world dwellers get none of that). So, getting a do-it-all device such as S22U or Tab S8 Ultra or the best of those both worlds, the Z Fold 4... That's always going to be a luxury.

The S22 Ultra is a beast. I've seen an extreme amount of movies on youtube and the like in the last week and every time I came to the same conclusion; The S22 Ultra is still the best smartphone out there right now. I'm not saying in all compartments, not that, but overall it's definitely the best. The others that are also good and have their positive points are the iPhone 13 pro max and the new Xiaomi 12s Ultra, although I must say that I expected more from the 12s Ultra. The Find x 5 Pro is also a good smartphone, but I notice in many videos that the device still suffers from stuttering during video filming and that is something you really don't want to have. Many people complain about the curved screen, I don't, I like it very much, it makes the smartphone more beautiful + there is still a cover around so it doesn't bother me. The screen of the S22 Ultra is also to die for, you pay the same or more for an iPhone, but the screen of the iPhone leaves something to be desired. I can already see the difference between the two. The S22 Ultra is also a beast in terms of brightness, I can read everything perfectly in full sun and with sunglasses on, I've never had this with a smartphone until now. Also some people say that the device is slow? That's a bit true, but you have to do 3 things; Turn on remove animation in the settings, then set the performance to the highest with battery and then activate the developer settings and you turn off the animation 3 times and then the S22 Ultra will fly. ;).

After that I immediately started the game, I played for about a good 20 minutes and it cooled down while gaming. The game was at its hottest when I did the update. During the game itself there was no great heat or anything for me. The game also continued to play well as it should.
The phone never got very hot while playing, slightly warm but that is normal with games that there is some heat.
Is this due to my settings or something, I have no idea why I don't have any problems? Maybe the game is not on the max settings that is possible, I didn't pay attention, everything is set as you start a game. For me a game doesn't have to be on the max settings, it's good as it is.

Phone was heavely used for all sorts of things. It performed very well. Strangly this is the first time i consider down grading, this phone is pretty heavy. Paying a steap price and not getting Quickcharging wallcharger, no expendipel storage, no minijack for headphone, no dac inside the phone, is a downer for me.
When using an external dac my headphone gets a monosignal and sound on 1 side. Tried several dacs.

I thought the s-pen was a gimmick now I find I use it to take notes almost every day. It is so much quicker to use to write down a phone number. I look up a product at my local hardware store write down the aisle number and bin when I get there I open the notes and walk straight to the product. I have found the pen to be really useful. One of the best features of the phone. The other thing I find handy is using the camera macro function I had a sim card I couldn't fit into a device. By using the macro function I zoomed in and could see the problem fixed it in a couple of seconds one of the tiny arms that hold the card was bent.

Now, I can just bring my Zoom H6 with me to further amplify my car's bluetooth adapter, but it's kind of disappointing that audio on external devices has been kind of garbage on these phones (without dragging a mess of adapters along for the ride) since the Note 10.

At the end of the day the Ultra has much better cameras and the brilliant S Pen buiilt in.Plus no crease in the middle of a great screen.

Honestly. I want to love my S22 Ultra but there's a few things I hate. 1) the battery. I don't understand how everyone states that the battery is "amazing". I get maybe 4-5 hours sot with barely any usage. I used the phone a total of 1 hour today and in the 10 hours I've had it odd the charger it's already down to 36%.
    2) the curved screen isn't bad but it definitely annoys me when using the s pen because it keeps effecting the s pen.
    3) My camera is eh. Results depend on the type of photo. They look mediocre compared to other android phones available. All in all, if you're considering upgrading look elsewhere. I am gonna probably upgrade from this to the s23 ultra when it comes out if it doesn't have battery issues. If I could I would go back and grab the S21 Ultra instead.
Maybe I'll get the S23Ultra when it comes out. If not it's off to google or maybe the fold for me. Just irks me that a $1300 flagship with a 5,000 mah battery barely gets me through mediocre usage. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I really want the S21 Ultra, but I just can't justify spending more for an older phone (because I also would buy the SPen and a cover to accommodate it). I prefer the more rounded edges of the S21 Ultra too. I have been using my Note 9, which I bought about six months after it was released so I am used to the squared off edges. It's also why I can complain about them! I absolutely love having a 6.8" screen and I don't want to give up any of its size, so I have been looking outside of the Samsung community for something more affordable with the same screen size. I don't want to spend $1k on a new phone, particularly at my age (74). These days, every penny matters!!!

In November I made the discussion to trade in my Note9 after years for successful daily driving. I took the plunge and went with the Samsung Galaxy flip 4 as a trade wash. I was anxious about making such a drastic phone change, but the deal was too good to pass up. Deal done. Fast forward to last night. My Flip4 and I were cruising along just fine w/o any issues, till out of the blue, 3 small neon dead pixels appeared on the left bottem corner of the screen. Ugh. First time anything like this has happened to me with any of my past phones. To say the least I wasn't happy about it. To make a long story short afte talking to Samsung and my carrier about the issue, I decided to swop out my Flip4 for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra by recommendation of the ATT sales rep. Telling my dad to return this and replace it with a s22 ultra, received this 13 pro max as a high school graduation gift on june 3rd.

I love so much about this phone, with 2 exceptions to that adoration. First, when it has a top notch case on it (which one must have, as it is such an expensive cell phone) people have a hard time hearing me...not a good issue to have, when talking is the main reason one buys this. This is incredibly annoying. I either have to skip using the speaker or opening the case where it gets plugged in. But if you open that, then the phone is not being protected fully. The second issue is a minor annoyance, but an annoyance non the less. This phone keeps far too many pages open. And when it doesn't close them, it can take unexpectedly long times to open a new screen. Took me a long time to figure out what was causing the delay. There is an option to close all tabs. But I hate having to do that extra tag out. I prefer being able to go into history and select my next stop. Sure, let's keep the sites open, but please make it with a permission, so I can select to use history instead. Last little issue: Samsung has pretty bad customer service. Enough said on that. But I want to keep this phone because the camera is incredible. I often find I have accidentally videod instead of taking a single shot. But within the video's, it will give you frame by frame options to select an individual shot. Love that!

@@luisvenegas385 I took the phone to a Samsung experience store. Had already changed the case per att and Samsung. Also, knowc all about closing apps. On this phone that is a real issue. So was still having big voice issues. Samsung did a full workup on my phone. Not a thing wrong with it....but the voice is being affected inconsistently because itvis a 5g phone. They said, and gave me the print out proof, that my 5g service is so crowded that it keeps cutting out. They recommended chasing it to 4g. That would be fine with me, but this phone doesn't offer that option. They said itv isn't atts or Samsung fault.. the 5g folks fault. Well, no one seems to know when that will be fixed. So in the meantime they apparently expect me to just suffer and make my callers suffer right along with me. This is ridiculous. Sometimes say get ac different phone..Samsung says itv won't matter if it is a 5g phone. Plus who can afford another phone after paying for an ultra 22!?

    • @kathleenhugh8374
      @kathleenhugh8374 ปีที่แล้ว

@@luisvenegas385 And to top it off, the new case and screen protector and fast charger att sold me..well, the screen protector keeps popping up because it isn't meant for a curved edge. And the charger is too strong for my phone. Yup, another trip dealing with this phone. Oh yes, plus: after begging for help with this darned phone for 7 months now, I only JUST found out there was a help store 30 min from me. No one ever suggested it before. Att and samsung also kept telling me I had to do a factory reset. Well, the s store said absolutely not needed. Yes, I am still going crazy. But Luis, as much as I appreciate your suggestions, I do know to do most of the basics to make my phone work more smoothly. But apparently the problem is currently unfixable. The Samsung store said they are getting same complaints every week from all carriers in my area.

@@thegentleman90 yeah the specs and 10 years of tech knowledge :)
New uf 4.0 storage and lpddr5x ram with such quick speeds that apps will load at the same speed /faster than the app opening animation.
The processor will be more than powerful enough to handle all the tasks you can think of to do.
It'll have a Gpu that beats last gen consols with current gen features like ray tracing and image upscaling for consistent 60 fps
New battery tech with higher density along with a more powet efficent display and processor so we'll finally get 2 days of battery life on dark mode.
Symetrical bezel design thanks to samsungs new border reduction technique.
More efficent charging due to much better thermal manegemnet and tweaks to the battery.
Perfect software because one ui 5 with goodlock is already bringing every feature you could need let alone with the s23 exclusive software features. But on top of that you'll get 4 more years of updates...
Perfect design because the s22 ultra is already close to perfect. Just needs more symmetry which the s23 will bring.
The isp in camera is finally able to hamdle 3x 8k streams at once enabling true 8k hdr and 4k 120fps with good dynamic ramge
4k 30fps will finally look perfect even better than on iphones.
In regards to pictures the pictures will also finally be perfect as the ai working with the isp can now annalyse every pixel whilst pixel binning and enhance the final image to its max potential.
You'll see. The s23 will be samsungs best in every category .

@@VhsssTv That's awesome. Just wondering if it'll actually beat the iPhone 15 Omega Supreme with it's front and rear quartz diamond laced crystal with full ultra octate HDR plus 50 display with a refresh rate capable of going from 0-600mhz. It'll have an 800mp ultra wide laser under display camera that you will not be able to see.
Storage will range from 5tb starting to a maximum 10hexabyte.
There will be 6 rear cameras. One 600mp 50x, one 700mp 100x, one, 800mp with ultra wide 360 field of view. One with a new super galactic zoom that you can see the other side of the universe. One multi dimension zoom that you can see muti-dimensional reality. One with magic zoom that you can take a snapshot of something and have it duplicate in real time. A lidar phasar sensor that can detect any movement including paranormal.
It'll be powered not by a battery but a new micro arc reactor. It'll be able to power not only the phone but also your city grid as well.
The GPU will be the new Infinitum graphics. This is based on a new creation and design by AMD, NVidia, IMax, and Dolby. Games will look real and super immersive.
Sound will come from a full Hyper HD created by THX and Dolby Atmos.
SIRI will no longer just be your assistant but will actually be a true to life assistant who will give you a full non virtual reality help. Similar to having a Cortana.
The new IOS will be fully customizable at your every whim
It'll have an option called design it my way and SIRI can assist you to make it happen.
All these and the phone will be 1/4 inch thick with a new unobtainium casing. Able to withstand heat hotter than the sun.
