These episodes hit me in the feels when I was first getting into Fairy Tail. Jellal and Erza's past are easily the most tragic and depressing ones in Fairy Tail, well literally everyone in Fairy Tail has a depressing past actually. The music will also hit you in the feels so hard.

Grandpa Rob is the friend that Makarov and Yajima was talking about at the council meeting. They mentioned that Rob died while showing their flashback photos.
Not sure if you caught it or not, but during the last review, the Master was talking about Rob. The Master had been told to retire soon so he didn't end up like Rob. In this review, we learned about Rob. Love when Fairy Tail comes full circle like that.
So happy you're loving the series! That's something I appreciate from Fairy Tail, it's pacing is quick compared to a lot of other animes I've seen and it still hits you in the feels with the right things and the right music, and it's pretty funny through and through!😂🤘

Some small things to notice : 1- Grandpa Rob is master Makarov's and Yajima's friend (They mentioned him and how Erza told Makarov about his final moments in ep 30) and you can see his Fairy Tail emblem on his back 28:19 2- at 31:12 & 31:23 Erza was crying from her left eye only (she actually lost her right eye when they tortured her) this will have a meaning at the end of the arc.

I'm so glad I caught this BEFORE I went to bed....you thought you had me this time ;) To my recollection this is like the darkest arc in fairy tail (I've only seen up to like 101 so I dunno) This arc is one of my favourites overall
Speaking of harems after you finish 7 deadly sins, you should watch high school dxd. If you havent already. You don't have to do reactions to it but if you do from what ive seen its semi youtube safe with the exceptions of certain scenes that will be obvious if you watch it lol but over all I think you'd probably enjoy it. There are 4 seasons of it so far.

I love the Zeref design in Jellals eye they didn't do that in the anime same for the magic soldiers. Kudos to Shinji Ishihara

It's pronounced how it's spelled, they just have a bit of difficulty distinguishing L's and R's so it sounds like gerar.
