I've just got my copy at Gen Con 2024 and I can see now it has some adjustments to the player board maybe just to balance, now - initially you can forage 2 times instead of one - the reserve action now gives you 2 points - to return a book token to the lib, now you only need to spend a matching ingredient and it's a free action. But this is still a great presentation to learn about this beautiful game.
I was drawn to this game because it's so colourful, and I also really want to play. I love collecting ingredients and making things. Bonus points because there are recipe cards!
This game looks fantastic! Thanks for the teach. Impeccable as always!👍😊 Edit: One year later...Received the game today...it's beautiful, and your card is so cool!
You have definitely made a name for yourself. When I see a new game, I ask myself if Monique and Naveen have reviewed it before I start reading the rules.
I am just happy as an Indian living abraod to see Naveen take the charge. Would love him to help Indian Games get international recognition through videos. Please do a review and full play of Chai Garam if possible. I am very excited for that game to come to my shelf.
Thanks for the video! Wild Gardens looks super fun. I love the theme and the art so I've been eagerly awaiting more info about the gameplay. It doesn't seem to have much conflict between players which is too bad but it looks interesting as a less interactive game anyways.
Yeah there isn’t too much aggression. Only 1 player can be on a path location and their might also be competition over the tokens that enhance actions.
Hi Monique & Naveen, maybe after your Uwe Rosenberg series, maybe you can do an Stefan Feld Series ? He has some really great games, think about the city collection
That would be a big one lol. We truly enjoy Feld titles. I think we may take a mini break from the designer series after the Rosenberg series. Will likely be back on it after a few months.
@@BeforeYouPlay i totally understand that the designer series videos takes a lot of time and effort. And you 2 do a great job doing it. Take all the break time you need you deserve it :)
Monique! Gotta do something about the reflection in your glasses. Drives me nuts in almost all your videos at first ... ... but then I quickly forget about all of that after I see your hand wave and introduction and I forget all else during the teach This time I had to pause the vid and leave the comment while it was in my head.
LOL!! We both detest the glare too, but every time we change the lighting angles, it unfortunately ruins a bunch of other variables in the front/top shots. 😔
Prototype just means its not final. There are many stages of not final. This one may just have some minor touch ups left, but some prototypes are at the stage of being hand sketched on paper for initial testing, either way neither of those is final and would be considered a prototype. Unless you're proposing we have more names through the process, but then where do you draw those lines? Like where does a game sketch stop and a game test start, then when does it move from a game test to a game prototype? Think it would just confuse people. Easier to say a prototype is still subject to at least some changes. Final means it's past production and will no longer be changed/adjusted in any way, unless they later put out a 2nd edition of course. Either way I wouldn't wish any game designers to feel bad about their prototypes. Almost all games, even this one with it's wooden bits most likely started as someone's idea roughly sketched on paper.
I know you guys have to eat and Im sure this beats what Monique was doing before but- It seems like its nothing but kickstarter previews these days 😢😢😢. Maybe if y’all had more Patrons you could go back to doing the heavier strategy type games? If thats the case eff it i’ll sign up
We try to blend a mix of content. We just traveled to Europe recently and had deadlines to meet. Most videos take 10+ hours to produce and get onto TH-cam. The heavy games look easy from the final production, but I assure you they are 2x(+) the work. In the end we wanted our channel to be about teaching and showcasing games and we are proud of the work we’ve been doing. Stay tuned for more Uwe Rosenberg games and continuing with Mindclash Games.

Aw, I’m on Vancouver Island! Love a little representation ❤
That’s awesome!! Random card draw for the win!
Thanks for all you do with your channel! You produce great content and do it so well!
Thank you so much, we truly appreciate your time. :-)
Tell me naveen’s shirt was perfect for this one 🤌🏽 side note: your layout for this preview was literal perfection and made my ocd v happy 😂
We were sitting in the chair about to film when I flashback remembered I had a t-shirt with a 🌹 on it lol!

Beautiful game. Love your above view of the presentation layout of the game.
Thank you so much! Have a great weekend!!
I love all your videos! Beautiful game and seems nice to play
Thank you so much for your kindness 🥰. We both hope you have a wonderful day!

I do the same thing.😀
Omg the art is beautiful ❤, thanks for covering the game overview! Love y’all’s videos ❤
Thank you!!

Very pretty game and seems chill. Thanks for the overview!
Thanks for checking out our video!!
I have been looking for this theme that plays 4
This game looks so pretty! I just have to back it!
:-)

I appreciate the low conflict, also think it goes well with the theme, not saying that kind of thing has to be for everyone though :)
Similar to Flamecraft in that it’s easy to learn but has more strategy than you might first think?
Lots of forward planning but also adapting on the fly.
Love your videos - this game looks great! Out of curiosity - how are you doing your top-down camera angle?
Love your content!!! Best on youtube!!!

Have you both received a prototype of the solo mode at all? If so, how does that play in comparison?

You're so sweet Krissy! 😘
OK watching this 4 months later and now I need to go and see if they do late pledges... you folks are not good for my wallet! ;)
LOL!! Sorry!!!!!!
WEW!
And what about a playthrough?
Unfortunately not at this time, possibly down the road. We have quite a few projects to work on ahead of our international trip.
They have to stop with the whole "this is considered prototype", makes designers with less advanced prototypes graphically feel very bad. XP
Lol, this one came in pretty close to what we assume will be the final production.
