As a 14 year old, I feel like I can’t shop at Sephora because I’m really young looking and I’ve been really nervous because I don’t want someone thinking I’m a Sephora Kid even tho I just want to buy my skin care routine 😭
You don't have to go to Sephora at all! Many of their products are way over priced (and aren't necessarily dermatologist recommended to my knowledge). My advice, if you're having skin issues, get your parents to take you to a derm and they will be able to find you products that will work for you! But if that's not in your budget, I'll recommend you what my derm told me Cereve cleansers (Use foaming if you have oily skin), differin gel (for acne), and a basic moisturizer as differin will dry.
I used to have borderline cystic acne and my face has been mostly clear since I started 4+ years ago.
Remember that just because products are trending, from experience, doesn't mean they'll actually be good for you or your skin :) Many beauty lines have harmful ingredients that are used to harm the skin barrier (thus your need for more products in the future!!)

they're called swatches. They're meant to test makeup shade against skin without getting any contaminants on your face, which is what the samples are for. Which... I didn't know what swatches were until I was in my teens, and these are 8 year olds. Messy, disrespectful, 8 year olds.

The fact that grown adults feel so fed up, or intimidated by the lack of parenting, supervision, and foul behavior from these tweens is insane! I'm not making fun of the adults who leave either...I get it. I think the real problem is why 8-13 yo kids even worrying about aging? They r too young to even think about that, why kids cant be kids anymore? Plus the chemicals r gonna ruin their sensitive skin. Why parents dont bother to teach their kids about basic manners? They ruin everything. I legitimately thought she was an adult influencer in her 30s using that baby face filter that makes your face smaller and rounder, and that she was making fun of sephora kids. The other day I went to Sephora and an 11-12 year old girl there was buying an anti-aging cream and I politely told her that it wasn't appropriate for her age and suddenly this psycho kid turned towards me and said "I'm taking this so I won't be like you when I get older"And I was in shock man I'm only 17 and the girl treated me like I was just an grandmother or something ☠️☠️☠️

Consumerism is a problem especially when it affects on those kids who doesn't have a mature value or ability of judgment yet. They are very easily affected by the other kids surround them or what they see online.
But I think parents take the major responsibility for these Sephora kid's behavior. They seem likelack of proper guiding, restriction and education, if they can be that reckless to Sephora staffs or to their own parents, they can be that reckless to other kids at school too(bullying), correct their attitudes and behaviors is much urgent than correct their consumptive concepts.
This is honestly the parents fault. These kids aren't just buying all this themselves.

These kids don’t have anywhere tween friendly to hang out, so as a result they’re going to populate spaces that are a bit too old for them. Also the harshness of the skin care they use is going to prematurely age them, not preserve their skin.

There are many places tweens can go… it’s just they need friends and parents who will take them to those places, unless it’s a walking distance that they can go which is rare in the USA 😅
