Thanks for the review.This is not my first Fitbit. I have owned ionic for 5 years however i just switched my watch and its not working for the update for me whether its on the charger or not. It says to sit my watch by my router which is. It not my internet because i use it daily to work from home. This watch has not been friendly. It has been charging for 2 days and still not full and possible defected.

I like how nowhere is it mentioned in the product description of the Versa 2, that you MUST own a newer mobile phone, that's running the latest Android OS just to get the Versa 2 working. That just seems like pertinent information a consumer could use in order to make a confident purchase. I just got my awesome new Versa 2 today, and I can't set it up, because I made the choice years ago, to buy a specific Samsung phone. Awesome. That's great user-experience. Yeah, nobody would want something that worked, right out of the box, nope never! The Versa 2 is a disgrace to design. Thanks for the frustration Fitbit.
That is a terrible user experience. Do you mind sharing which exact phone? (So I can pass this information along to my audience?).
My only phone is a 4 year-old iPhone (6S) and fortunately I haven’t had any issues, but I am able to run the latest iOS...
@@wearablewhisperer It's a Samsung s4. Yes I know it's old, but it's worked great for me over the years. Nowhere in the Versa 2 product description is it mentioned that you must already own a newer mobile device, just to get the Versa2 up and running. Sure it says, "iPhone and Android compatible", but that's incredibly misleading. Fitbit's user-experience designers are rank amateurs, it's incredibly disappointing.
I 100% agree Fitbit should be more transparent which devices are compatible before you buy. For potential future reference, they do seem to maintain this link: www.fitbit.com/devices which gives some information about compatibility. I note that the S4 isn't listed as being compatible there (if you select "Android", then "Samsung" and click on the third drop down to see the list of devices compatible). I'll definitely mention this in my review to hopefully help others. Sorry you had to go through this :(

I had set up my fitbit charge 3 but im going to buy the fitbit versa 2. On my birthday April 20 th. Im treating myself to another one. Because i could always use 2 fitbits. Incase one breaks or just a good idea

Great job on your informative vids! It's now June 2022. I have an old Fitbit Charge 2 )I know, I know.) I bought a couple on eBay:) Anyway, it's now failing. I use iPhone. Apple watch doesn't have the sophisticated sleep data that Fitbit does so...I think I'm going to buy another Fitbit. I don't really need the dedicated GPS, don't need to listen to music on the watch. I just need it to track steps, detailed sleep data, and when I play tennis, walk, or ride a bike, I alway have my phone with me anyway. Seriously, what if you're hiking and somehow get into trouble? Can't call on a Fitbit watch without your phone right? Right now, Costco has the Versa 2---109.00, and the 3-- 157.00 on sale. After reading a bunch of reviews, unless the person really needs the untethered GPS, it seems a lot of people think the Versa 2 is producing more reliable and accurate data and they like having a physical button versus what many have described as a finicky haptic:) So, just looking for an opinion since you've owned both? I suppose I know the Versa 2 is all I really need, but then I think to myself, the V 2 has been sitting around new in the box a few years? But it's 100 bucks:)

Thank you for all the kind words. It sounds like the Versa 2 could be a good fit for you. Two words of caution: the bands are harder to change on the Versa 2 than the Versa 3, and there may be a Versa 4 coming soon (but no one knows exactly). The Versa 2 is a bit old now, but it will give you better sleep data compared to Apple Watch, yes.
@@wearablewhisperer Thanks for your honest opinion based on your own experience. I actually ordered one from Costco last night for $109.00:) My thought is for that price even though it’s a couple models old it’ll serve its purpose while until we learn more about the successor models to come.
I’ll still be able to enjoy it for its usefulness for me. I play a lot of competitive tennis. For 110.00 bucks I can’t go wrong without over spending for more than I use.

@@wearablewhisperer lol, funny…Costco’s 90 day return policy is always a strong influence; exactly why I bought it at Costco but have to wait a week being an older model, it’s online only product. (Which is fair) I could’ve walked away with it yesterday at BestBuy for near the same price but I wanted that 90 day return policy just in case. I’ve researched a lot of comments online and from various stores, many people mention the Versa 2 was their favorite model even compared to it’s successors. I’m looking forward to receiving it. Definitely going be better than my Charge 2, all similar functions and then some, and a bigger screen. LOL I don’t anticipate buyers remorse:) I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Hello, I've had my versa 2 for 4 months I actually just started to downloand apps. I'm having serious trouble downloading my spotify and I tried downloading credit card it wouldn't except. Now I have to inter my pin # everytime I want to turn on my watch Do you have a video on how to delete pin, thanks

MySpankster Apple Watch 5 is better but more expensive, if u want more of a fitness tracker then get Fitbit versa 2 and if you want more of a SmartHome watch get the Apple Watch. If your willing to pay the price for the Apple Watch then go for it
Let me know if you have any specific questions to to help you decide between Versa 2 and Apple Watch Series 5. I have the Series 3 and 4 and might invest in the 5 to make videos for this channel. Price is obviously a big difference, as is built-in GPS. I assume you have an iPhone, so another difference is being able to reply to texts with an Apple Watch (something Apple doesn’t allow on 3rd party watches like Versa 2).

Thank you for the great video. I just received my Versa 2 and you made this very simply. I noticed on your Versa 2, you had the option for water, food and sleep, but mine only shows activity, hourly steps, and heart rate. Can you let me know how to add the others?

I only have 3 stats in the today section. Steps, steps this hour, and heart rate. Is there something I need to do to get the rest?
If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the today section, do you see “Settings”? If so, that’s how you add stats. If not, you’ll need to contact Fitbit customer support.
@@wearablewhisperer I mean inside the settings I only have those three options. I guess that's a problem then.
Ah, interesting. I just searched the Fitbit help forums and found a few other people with a similar problem with their original Fitbit Versa and someone was able to suggest a solution that worked for them. You can read the thread and solution here: community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-Smartwatches/Only-Have-Three-Options-In-Today-Settings-Menu/m-p/3161887 (Note if you have to reboot your Versa 2, just press and hold the left button for 10 seconds until the fitbit logo appears, also rebooting does not erase data (only factory resetting should erase data).) I hope this helps!
I've done all the suggested fixes, but I've still only got the 3 options to choose from.
Just to be sure, did you delete the Fitbit app on your phone and then re-install it? That has helped two others... if not, then contact customer support.
Hey with my versa 2 my JBL free left earphone turns off after a couple of seconds only on the versa after second time you connect. So I always need a to power cycle left ear phone to work while versa 2 is playing music on offline mode with Deezer .Versa 2 is so buggy

Tاhaks a lot. My sumsung galaxy watch 4 classic isnit accurate in sleep tracking and I want a good sleep tracker. I heared that fitbit watches are the best to achieve this. We have in tunisia only three models of fitbit: versa, varsa 2 and charge 3. which one of them would you advise me to buy for sleep trucking only. I will use my sumsung all daylong and the fitbit only for sleep but I have read that versa 2 becomes useless after a few months of owning it has many issues concerning sync and it gives up sleep tracking after a short period. Please advise me.

How to set the time on versa 2
The Fitbit box had instructions on how to attach the band and a 60 page booklet of legal CYA. I guess they assume people will go onto youtube to figure out how to set up their product. It's sad
I went thru this video but I can't figure out how to set up the 7 stats to easily track my activities. I only have 3 and can't figure out how to add 4 more. Please help.
Try deleting the Fitbit app from your phone, re-downloading it, and then sync your device. That has helped a few others.
This has happened to me, also. My FitBit app on my iPhone seems to be stuck, so I don't think it ever finished installing. I have come to a blank white page that continues to have the searching spiral still going, even though my watch seemed to complete. I have no idea what to do at this point.
Did you try to delete the Fitbit app from your phone and re-download it? If so, and it is still showing a white screen, then don’t hesitate to contact Fitbit Customer Support.
Why does it seems like the bands are backwards?
How can I add more tracking settings on my watch, it should be 7 but it only displays activity, hourly steps, and heart rate. It doesn't even give me the option to select anything else. Any advice?
