Former Tamil nadu CM Karunanidhi banned hand rickshaw and replaced it with cycle rickshaw in the year 1969 itself. Now even cycle rickshaw is not in use in Tamilnadu, whereas the capital cty NewDelhi has more cycle rickshaw.
