I heard about the thread problem just after I purchased mine and before I fitted them myself I got some coilover socks. Their industrial grade Velcro (hook and loop system) and with two extra phatt zip-ties it holds them on as a second reassurance they won't come off. But before I put the socks on I coated all the threads in marine waterproof grease and that seems to be working well for me. Socks keeps the big dirt/debris from getting on the grease and the grease keeps my threads clean. About £35.00 extra to keep my £800 BC-Racing coilovers fresh for years to come. A good investment!

I need some help because typically with a coilover setup whenever you adjust the ride height you're supposed to go get an alignment so how does that work with air suspension considering you can make multiple ride height changes over the course of just one ride?
That is an excellent question that I have not seen anyone ask on these vids ! It works the same for air suspension regarding getting it aligned. Except you would get it aligned for your preferred ride height. There are 5 height presets. You would set it to your preferred ride height and drive it in for alignment. You can still alternate between different ride heights but you wouldn't want stray too long on a non preferred height. For example my ride height is about 2 inches lower than stock - however if I'm driving around the city in an unfamiliar area or I see road construction, speed bumps, steep driveways etc - I lift it back to stock height to be on the safe side.
You can get urethane bumpers for that but I feel you. There are a lot worse things you could end up replacing while on static . Air suspension for no damage to the bottom end.
I have a 1988 Buick Century 3.3L V6 and am looking to make it more responsive and handle better since it's got SUPER soft suspension, any suggestions? I know coilovers and making it as rigid as I can will increase responsiveness and a 4 barrel carb and bigger throttle body will help this too.
Question: Is air suspension worth it on a daily driver? Anyone running bags on their daily should let me know. Thinking about going the static route that I'm familiar with because I can't really think of a reason to put $3k down on suspension for a daily driven ride. On the other hand bags seem interesting because I like doing more than just roaming around the streets. I take my sti camping fairly often and I like hitting up trails and dirt roads to go hiking. Should I invest in bags or go coils and just adjust them before a camping trip? Why get either when I take my car off road you ask? 'Cause fukk sti stock ride height lol.
I’ve been sitting on the idea of air bags for months, I have adjustable coil overs on my forester and I love them but I just cannot stop thinking about pulling up in my glk350 and laying frame….air bags make any car look so dam good, I’m just nervous about maintenance
You have that backwards. Air for DD static for competitive track. With air suspension public road obstacles like speed bumps, dips, inclines and steep driveways are no longer obstacles.
