I think the best compliment you could ever give a guitarist is, *"It sounds like 2 guitars at the same time."* The amount of skill, talent, and pure dedication to reach that level is ASTRONOMICAL. Joe Bonamassa has that gift.
Dude I remember watching this one night on PBS as a teenager. I was in high school and really into the blues and I could not BELIEVE, 1 MAN could play the guitar like that. I've been a fan ever since.
I woke up dreaming and found myself in the Barbara Mann Center, Ft. Myers, Florida on February 17th.....Dreams can come true ~~~ Just Drove from NC for it....
Joe Bonamassa, You're voice is perfect for the Blues, and your guitar playing is just jaw-dropping good! Yep, like someone commented, you're incredible on electric guitar, but you really show off your other-worldly talent when you get hold of an acoustic guitar for us to enjoy. Wowww!
Woke up dreaming I was gonna die Woke up dreaming I was gonna die 'cause my baby said her Said her last goodbyes Reached out for her and she was not there Reached out for her and she was not there Lord, I miss her body And her long brown hair Hard rain falling, river flood Black cat bawling, moon dripping blood Woke up dreaming I was gonna die All my sins have found me It's my turn to cry Yeah Devil's rising, you don't have a chance Devil's rising, you don't have a chance Well there's fiddles playing Shake your bones and dance I just want to live another day I just want to live another day To see that brown-haired woman Coming back this way
I know Joe Bonamassa has said he much prefers playing electric guitars, but my favorite concert experiences have been when his sets include both electric and acoustic performances!
Man. I always thought joe had a really good and theatrical kinda electric tone. This piece though. This might be the BEST 6 string acoustic tone ive ever heard. It was great to hear his playing with all that definition in the notes as well. I could really hear him better.
Joe needs a Valium & a beer___ everything he plays no matter how good turns in to a shred fest___I know he loves Clapton, I thought he would have learned from him , It's content not quantity___I guess that's why Clapton uses Mayer & Trucks in his bands & has never used Joe___Don't get me wrong I love Joe Been a fan for a long time___I've seen him play gigs where only 100 people showed & it was awesome
I' m not agree. In fact, if you see the full concert or other of his acoustic shows you will see. This performance is about that intensity, but in other songs as Drive o Happier times for example, the feeling and the intention is different, even the style. In some way, it's true that Joe is like other guitar heros, but he's music is much more than speed or technique. On the other hand, he's a bluesman in origin, a mixture between blues rock and hard rock you could say, but through the years, he has added more textures and more influences to his music. Have you ever listened to his funk /jazz fusion band, Rock Candy Funk Party? Really different stuff with really great moments too.
Never been to a school . But this is not impossible if you just live your guitar... hes not extra ordinary.. just good... Cant be xtra if ya playing standards just faster.. hahahahaha
Como español, se agradece el guiño al flamenco del inicio, pero por favor ... no lo vuelvas a hacer más. As a Spanish, the nod to flamenco from the beginning is appreciated, but please ... do not do it any more.
Here we a have a spaniard doing typical spaniard comments...why shouldn't he play more like this? You think you are the centre of the universe? What a stupid comment..

Said her last goodbyes
Reached out for her and she was not there
Reached out for her and she was not there
Lord, I miss her body
And her long brown hair
Hard rain falling, river flood
Black cat bawling, moon dripping blood
Woke up dreaming I was gonna die

It's a Gallagher guitar. Made in a small family shop in Wartrace, Tn. Now made in Murfreesboro.

The valium and beer comment very mean spirited you apparently didn't watch the whole concert at viena opera house
