See I thought I could do that but they do it different now. They use an animation glitch that makes you go out into pvp when you go into trade window then they have another guy waiting and they kill you. Lost 100m which is a lot for me :(

I had another lure happen to me recently which isn't in this video. It nearly costed me my whole bank (about 7b) but I pulled out at the right time. This shows how in-depth some lures are and its not always obvious at first that it is a lure. It started like this: There was a maxed account at G.E trading me he gave me like 800K and said I should buy grapes for him cause hes going for 200m cooking. I did that and he gave me like 400k as a reward and told me I should add him so he can get more grapes. He then pmed me asking if I had any luck pvming and we had a little conversation but he mentioned that he managed to pick up a 3rd age longsword from a lurer. I continued giving him his grapes and he always tipped me like 400-500k but this was only to gain my trust. Then after 4 or 5 days he pmed me saying he found another lurer and we could make an easy 200m if we antilure him. He told me to add him on discord and called me. He showed the spot where I should stand to pick up the lurers items which he should telegrab. The "fake"-lurer dropped 100k cash and a whip (which I got) and dropped a dragonhunter lance for a second which i wasnt able to get(This is all setup and supposed to happen). He got really mad at me for not getting the dragonhunter lance and said I should make up for it by finding another lurer. Which I oddly found after hopping only 3 worlds this is where I realised something is fishy but I wanted to see what the actual lure is .The 2nd fake lurer traded me and showed a dragonhunter crossbow and a dragon warhammer which i should telegrab and I should show my most valuable items so he drops even more. The guy on discord told me to stream my client "so I don't do anything stupid". So the 2nd fake lurer brought me to the relleka bank where I should show my most valuable items and he will drop the DHCB and DWH. And here the actual lure happens or the first attempt I should say a guy with almost the same name (L instead of an I)logs in under him and trades you after which he immediately uses the moonclan teleport which drags you outside and they kill you. Since I use player indicators on RuneLite I noticed this and didnt fall for it. Then after realizing I didnt fall for it he said there is "imposters" and we moved to the Miscellania/ Etceteria bank. This time the "real fake lurer" traded me and I showed him my items BUT he told me to remove all the expensive items from the trade except for some junk items he gave me earlier. Since they know how my client looks and im streaming everything he would know exactly when to close the trade screen so I click outside the bank and get killed by a guy with a ZGS who is there for his video ( LOL ) he also told me to drink zammy brews to lower my hp and defence so I would probably get 1 Hit. And this is where I pulled out and realised that the guy on discord is in on the lure. I profited like 3.5M overall but damn It could've backfired really hard if I wasnt so cautious. So there is probably like 3 guys involved in this lure or just 1 guy with like 8 accounts I dont know but I was just really shocked this guy wanting me to buy grapes for him was just trying to lure me all along. BE CAREFUL GUYS
Ngl i actually made money from those drop party/ doubling lures. I would just stay for the drop party and then leave once the lurer starts talking about "doubling money". Easy 100k+ profit
Just look in 301 and 302 or popular worlds for drop partys and go to the fally party room with them, you can get good loot fr , its usually streamers trying to get views , good luck friend
I think it would be cool to see a video about the newer more complex lures happening in the game today. The ones involving a 3rd, 4th or 5th account, social engineering, and game stalling/animation glitching. Those lures are far more realistic and claim new victims every day, it's heartbreaking.
I remember the anti-candle lure lurer part, someone tried luring me way back and I thought it was suspicious, so I backed out and looked up a video about the lure. It looked too good to be true so I told my friend that he should try doing this since the lurer was after him now, and well... he ended up losing his bank (30m ish) because of me and he thought I was mixed with the lurers partner, which I just felt so awful and ashamed.. friend quitted rs since then, and I can only look back to how awful of a friend I was to think he could anti lure the candle trick Don't repeat the same mistake I did
There's also another lure that almost happened to me today in Target Worlds. Someone will camp the grand exchange until they see someone who looks like they could be knowledgeable on slayer. They then ask you for help getting to a slayer task, trade an ice plateau tab to you claiming they haven't met the requirement to use it (hoping the player doesn't know if there are any requirements for the item or not), and tell you to "break it on them" so they can get to they're task. People who are unsuspecting will right click the tab and select break, which will teleport you to deep wilderness where you're teleblocked, frozen, then specced to death, with green skull, so you lose everything on your character.
I see that Joel Curry guy all day in the PvP world doing that stall lure. It's really sad to see how he trash talks people all day about their bank value to try and make them trade..

It goes like this: the lurer will spam that theyre buying high tier items in chat for way over their ge price. The scammer will then ask if you prefer tokens or cash, and then say hey all my money is actually on my main, let me teleport you to xyz location, hoping you have assist on, arent paying attention or whatever. I saw a guy claim he lost a tbow today in the ge to this
I was once lured by a group in the wilderness, just outside of the Grand Exchange. There was a pile of relatively valuable items, mostly clue items, just in sight from the shortcut. There were 2 accounts logged in, one usually is an Ironman. This is made to appear as though an Ironman is dropping their duplicates over to their main, and since the items dropped are usually at least 50k, a player would be tempted to pick them up. Luckily, when I fell for this, all of my items were untradeable, so I actually profited an Armadyl platebody.
10:47 to add to this part. There are a group of people who drop god platebodies or other items in the wildly (multicombat) in front of the shortcut from edgeville to ge. If you don't play on runelite or osbuddy you won't know that these items are worthless so just avoid them.
some kid did this to me the other day, but didnt notice my combat level and i was 1 level lower then he could attack so I walked up, took the 500k he dropped, waved and then walked out the wilderness lmao he was mad af
@@Strippable they usually get you into multi to log in on you with 2 or 3 accounts and claw spec and entangle so be make sure you don't get greedy. I imagine that they are going to recruit other people from different combat brackets or they probably already did. You can also try to use telegrab but they will hop worlds immediately and have your name on a list.
You missed the lure where people drop some valuable items over the wilderness ditch in varrock by the ge. They then hide as a rock or cash stack. When someone goes to grab the stuff theyll barrage and claw them out.
the first one was super popular pre eoc when whips are ~16m. You'd tell someone you were making a pk video, and wanted a whip kill. You'd tell them they only needed to bring the whip, nothing else and you'd skull so they wouldn't lose their whip, also if they came you'd pay them for helping you out. You'd fight them, get them low, trade them 4 noted mystic tops and then kill them. They'd keep the mystic tops over the whip There was also a variation that started off the same way, but instead of saying you'll pay them you dropped the mystic tops and said there was someone at the door or something like that. As soon the mystic tops appeared and got picked up, the person got killed and again lost their whip
Another skull trick: log on bait account and allow them to kill you (while you dwindle some of their food) then when they’re looting log in under them and hope they didn’t change left click options to hidden whilst looting
A lure that didn't make it in this video is also at the temple of Ikov. I don't remember exactly how it goes, but some guy tries to teach you an antilure (he's in on the lure), and brings you to the weight bridge. He has the person you're trying to lure to drop valuable items across the bridge, but in turn you must drop your valuable items to cross because of the low weight requirement. He then throws a gnomeball at you while you are crossing, causing you to fall off the bridge and not be able to make it back in time to get yours or his items. I lost like 150m to this one back in 2016.
Ive also witnessed a dude dropping a stack of semi-pricey items that looks like an unlooted pile in lvl2 wilderness, just north of the GE-Edge shortcut. A lot of people pass by in that spot and might jump the ditch to loot it, since its only few squares in the wild. As you loot it you get barraged and claw specced. Almost lost full graceful to that, but luckily I was on a hard clue run and had some food on me. I survived and looted about 200k in items, but unless youre naked, stay away from it
Lunar Isle Lure: drop items on Lunar Isle and then you get teleported when you talk to an NPC if you don’t have Seal of passage. They pick your items up before you can get back from teleported location
That dropping cash in the wilderness luring method is not dead and alot of people fall for it, there is a guy that has heaps of accounts and he does it on worlds 330, 302, 344, 329, 465, 390 and 386. He drops items just above the grand exchange knowing there is over 50-100 people every minute using the ge-edgeville shortcut. I pk alot so everyday I find him then go and loot around 300k or so in items before he logs in, tb's then tried to kill haha yesterday he was bragging about how he just made a easy 280m from a single kill, might be worth a look into for your next video haha or if U know any clans, he is definitely solo but has accounts for almost every level

3:58 That shits wild. Stupidly enough I think I fell for that standing in a bank, figuring it would be no harm trading back, and within seconds my character bolts out of the bank with my gp into a barrage. One of the most infuriating moments in 10 years of this game. I only had like 2 mil.
And lurers go to world 302 and 330, use the agility shortcut north of the ge, then drop items in the wilderness on a lvl 3 acc and once someone comes to pick them up they'll claw them out
Someone tried to lure me the other day by dropping 500k in wild, but they didnt think about my combat level and I was 1 level lower then they could attack, let just say he was mad when I walked up took the 500k, waved and said 'Thank You" as I jumped over the ditch out of the wilderness

He wasn't in mine so i went for it, had he been in my range, I simply would of looked at his combat level and then kept walking to the GE. I see people do it all the time by the GE shortcut but most of the time they are in my combat range so I dont bother.
One of the best ways to skull trick is after entering a dungeon or logging in where you let a throwaway acc die hoping they didn't remove left click attack and then TBing them.

The biggest problem with the scepter lurer is that it makes people use bots to spam the freaking chat over and over and over about the lure and annoy the hell out you... especially when you don't actually know what the hell a scepter lure actually is making the warning almost entirely worthless

When logging back in I would supposedly have been granted 100mil, deposited into my bank. Logged out, changed the password, never could log back in again. Such a mystery...
I had a dream that I got lured last night. The lurer gave me items and a tele map and I clicked on it and got teleported to an arena where I couldn't teleport out. There were huge monsters that kept hitting me as I ran around screaming for my life. Then I died and I was like well this is why I don't trade on my HCIM. :) as I smiled I woke up.
So there is an obvious lure that goes on by the GE agility shortcut, they drop items in wildy then further in the wildy will be more items worth more, once you pick up the second stack they teleblock and entangle and spec you out. Its so obvious so you can just steal the first pile and leave.
@Theoatrix the new item lure can be avoided if you pick up the expensive items in the looting bag, since everything in the looting bag is lost on death, your expensive items will be the ones you're wearing, and therefore be protected.

With no disrespect to the game itself because it wasn’t created and intended to be this way , but to see it transition from 2010 to 2020, runescape went from having a community that spent time in lumbridge being social and communicating transitioning into one of the most malicious communities I’ve ever been apart of. This went from a fun game where we hung out like at the mall and told stories about our journeys into a “ I better watch myself and talk to no one along the way or all of my things get taken” type of game. It was like being at a family reunion at first. Now it’s like walking through down town Baltimore.

think you should of shown the door bug glich. they get you to drop your items behind the door near edgevil and bug the door by spamming it, you cannot get to your items due to the one tile path and someone stands back and tele grabs your stuff. guide though :D
Honestly I do that teleport tab thing to my friends all the time as a joke, but not in pvp worlds lmao. I just got back into osrs, and someone at warriors guild gave me a dragon chain, boots, and legs, then offered to take me to some mobs called "death druids" which I've never heard of, and I'm like 70% sure that was a lure but idk, or part of the new osrs content
Im just going to quick warn that a lure I've seen a lot now is one where the scammer makes you think that it's a sceptre scam. The reason is that many know that as long as they don't actually try to put on the clothes and just take them, then they get a free 5-20m. It's not the incentive of the fake reward, but the incentive of you feeling like you know what they're up to and can make a quick buck off of them. However, they will change things around at the last minute so that you get killed before you're even given the sceptre at all.
I think tricking players and sometimes even lying to them over a discord or grooming them for weeks is disgusting. I think scamming is pitiful and equally as bad. But skull tricking I don’t necessarily disagree with because usually this means you have already entered the wilderness where you are already putting yourself at risk of losing your items. And skull tricking also doesn’t require any verbal snaking. Pitiful people out there.
My favorite thing to do when it comes to the trading lures is to log underneath the scammer with an alt account and give my rare item to it and log off. They think I dropped it. You don’t benefit from it but the scammer gets confused as hell.

You missed the lure where people drop some valuable items over the wilderness ditch in varrock by the ge. They then hide as a rock or cash stack. When someone goes to grab the stuff theyll barrage and claw them out.
the first one was super popular pre eoc when whips are ~16m. You'd tell someone you were making a pk video, and wanted a whip kill. You'd tell them they only needed to bring the whip, nothing else and you'd skull so they wouldn't lose their whip, also if they came you'd pay them for helping you out. You'd fight them, get them low, trade them 4 noted mystic tops and then kill them. They'd keep the mystic tops over the whip
There was also a variation that started off the same way, but instead of saying you'll pay them you dropped the mystic tops and said there was someone at the door or something like that. As soon the mystic tops appeared and got picked up, the person got killed and again lost their whip
Another skull trick: log on bait account and allow them to kill you (while you dwindle some of their food) then when they’re looting log in under them and hope they didn’t change left click options to hidden whilst looting
Man I remember back in RS2 I fell for the noted item GE value trick, lost my whip for 2 torags hammers...
A lure that didn't make it in this video is also at the temple of Ikov. I don't remember exactly how it goes, but some guy tries to teach you an antilure (he's in on the lure), and brings you to the weight bridge. He has the person you're trying to lure to drop valuable items across the bridge, but in turn you must drop your valuable items to cross because of the low weight requirement. He then throws a gnomeball at you while you are crossing, causing you to fall off the bridge and not be able to make it back in time to get yours or his items. I lost like 150m to this one back in 2016.
Ive also witnessed a dude dropping a stack of semi-pricey items that looks like an unlooted pile in lvl2 wilderness, just north of the GE-Edge shortcut. A lot of people pass by in that spot and might jump the ditch to loot it, since its only few squares in the wild. As you loot it you get barraged and claw specced. Almost lost full graceful to that, but luckily I was on a hard clue run and had some food on me. I survived and looted about 200k in items, but unless youre naked, stay away from it
Lunar Isle Lure: drop items on Lunar Isle and then you get teleported when you talk to an NPC if you don’t have Seal of passage. They pick your items up before you can get back from teleported location
The final skull trick is with a multicombat weapon such as chincompas or ancients. You can skull yourself by attacking
That dropping cash in the wilderness luring method is not dead and alot of people fall for it, there is a guy that has heaps of accounts and he does it on worlds 330, 302, 344, 329, 465, 390 and 386. He drops items just above the grand exchange knowing there is over 50-100 people every minute using the ge-edgeville shortcut. I pk alot so everyday I find him then go and loot around 300k or so in items before he logs in, tb's then tried to kill haha yesterday he was bragging about how he just made a easy 280m from a single kill, might be worth a look into for your next video haha or if U know any clans, he is definitely solo but has accounts for almost every level

3:58 That shits wild. Stupidly enough I think I fell for that standing in a bank, figuring it would be no harm trading back, and within seconds my character bolts out of the bank with my gp into a barrage. One of the most infuriating moments in 10 years of this game. I only had like 2 mil.
And lurers go to world 302 and 330, use the agility shortcut north of the ge, then drop items in the wilderness on a lvl 3 acc and once someone comes to pick them up they'll claw them out
Someone tried to lure me the other day by dropping 500k in wild, but they didnt think about my combat level and I was 1 level lower then they could attack, let just say he was mad when I walked up took the 500k, waved and said 'Thank You" as I jumped over the ditch out of the wilderness
So in essence, had they not misjudged your combat level, you’d have fallen for the lure?
@@hayroth14 lol it says your combat ranges in the corner, you can obviously see if they are below or in your attackable range. He wasn't in mine so i went for it, had he been in my range, I simply would of looked at his combat level and then kept walking to the GE. I see people do it all the time by the GE shortcut but most of the time they are in my combat range so I dont bother.
One of the best ways to skull trick is after entering a dungeon or logging in where you let a throwaway acc die hoping they didn't remove left click attack and then TBing them.

The biggest problem with the scepter lurer is that it makes people use bots to spam the freaking chat over and over and over about the lure and annoy the hell out you... especially when you don't actually know what the hell a scepter lure actually is making the warning almost entirely worthless

They’re aware of that, they bait you for the scepter they make you trade for it, but they use animation stalls to pull you out of the safe zone

I remember when I was maybe 10 I fell for a scam whereby I was told to change my account's password to something like "100milgoldcoins". When logging back in I would supposedly have been granted 100mil, deposited into my bank. Logged out, changed the password, never could log back in again. Such a mystery...

I had a dream that I got lured last night. The lurer gave me items and a tele map and I clicked on it and got teleported to an arena where I couldn't teleport out. There were huge monsters that kept hitting me as I ran around screaming for my life. Then I died and I was like well this is why I don't trade on my HCIM. :) as I smiled I woke up.
So there is an obvious lure that goes on by the GE agility shortcut, they drop items in wildy then further in the wildy will be more items worth more, once you pick up the second stack they teleblock and entangle and spec you out. Its so obvious so you can just steal the first pile and leave.
@Theoatrix the new item lure can be avoided if you pick up the expensive items in the looting bag, since everything in the looting bag is lost on death, your expensive items will be the ones you're wearing, and therefore be protected.

With no disrespect to the game itself because it wasn’t created and intended to be this way , but to see it transition from 2010 to 2020, runescape went from having a community that spent time in lumbridge being social and communicating transitioning into one of the most malicious communities I’ve ever been apart of. This went from a fun game where we hung out like at the mall and told stories about our journeys into a “ I better watch myself and talk to no one along the way or all of my things get taken” type of game. It was like being at a family reunion at first. Now it’s like walking through down town Baltimore.

It's shit like that. is the MAJOR reasons why players quit, start luring too, or just start botting for easy gp gains. it's made the Runescape community, so much more toxic than ever before.
Some players might also try that teleport to Ice Plateau spell while your training prayer in someones POH with all your noted bones.
The best help you can get from someone will come in the form knowledge, never gp or items. Free shit ruins the satisfaction of the grind
think you should of shown the door bug glich. they get you to drop your items behind the door near edgevil and bug the door by spamming it, you cannot get to your items due to the one tile path and someone stands back and tele grabs your stuff.

Im just going to quick warn that a lure I've seen a lot now is one where the scammer makes you think that it's a sceptre scam. The reason is that many know that as long as they don't actually try to put on the clothes and just take them, then they get a free 5-20m. It's not the incentive of the fake reward, but the incentive of you feeling like you know what they're up to and can make a quick buck off of them. However, they will change things around at the last minute so that you get killed before you're even given the sceptre at all.
And at the end. "We just got shipping up, but only for the next 24 hours,"

I think tricking players and sometimes even lying to them over a discord or grooming them for weeks is disgusting. I think scamming is pitiful and equally as bad. But skull tricking I don’t necessarily disagree with because usually this means you have already entered the wilderness where you are already putting yourself at risk of losing your items. And skull tricking also doesn’t require any verbal snaking. Pitiful people out there.

My favorite thing to do when it comes to the trading lures is to log underneath the scammer with an alt account and give my rare item to it and log off. They think I dropped it. You don’t benefit from it but the scammer gets confused as hell.
