I'm learning Spanish recently and have talked to a couple Venezuelans both in and out of game. Always have been kind people. Dropped a 20 on the fundraiser thanks for doing this!
Back forever ago when they were taking over the red chin spot. I was a dick to like the first 2 people who crashed me but because they were overly nice. You could tell didn’t understand the game and would leave if asked. I started to feel bad and now I sit with google translate and normally just chit chat with most venz while I skill.
I ran into a Venezuelan in OSRS and they started talking about how depressed they are. I feel horrible for their situation, thank you for helping out with finding a way to help and helping in general!
This is literally what got me into my Economics degree. I'm about to graduate with a degree in Economics and a degree in Finance because of OSRS and Venezuela, and the currency exchange between them. 11 month update: So I didn't go into economics professionally, I've pivoted and now I'm in law school on a full ride! The legal profession is in dire need of economics-minded people, especially insofar as equitable remedies are concerned.
@@Mote-E I tried! I haven't been able to get hard data on the Venezuelan side of the equation even through my own gold-farming transactions (I bought gold to try to talk to Venezuelans). They're more concerned with staying alive than keeping statistics on their earnings, so I've had no success.
Hello, I am Venezuelan and I want to share my experiences living in Venezuela, the information you showed in the video is accurate but in Venezuela we not only fight to get money but also to survive, let me explain why. Venezuela is one of the most dangerous countries in the world, weeks ago a couple of men entered my house and stole everything we had despite the fact that they did nothing to us, we lost things that cost us to get and I personally have also robbed in the street 3 times and once I was injured with a stone. runescape has helped me to solve the crisis that we are going through but I really hate this because little by little I have lost interest in playing for fun, this hurts me since it is a game that I have played since I was a child and I appreciate it very much. Thank you all for your nice comments, if you want to know more about the situation, feel free to leave it in the comments.
Is it possible to buy some bolivars off of someone there? I want them for the meme of the "1 trillion dollars" if that isnt disrespectfull and you guys could make some money selling it.

For anyone still on the fence about donating, IRC is a top-rated charity that spends a comparatively lower percentage of its revenue on salaries / admin costs, meaning the vast majority of its income goes directly to its cause. I highly recommend donating whatever you can
6eans do you think everyone that donates to this charity plays RuneScape? Do you know charity’s raise loads of money from wealthy donors that otherwise wouldn’t give. Without charity massive problems go under the radar and unfortunately highly skilled people who are needed by charities can’t work for free so they will collect a wage but without them the charity couldn’t function. Yes some of the donated money will not go to the needy but that shouldn’t stop anyone from donating.
Runescape gold farmers have it better than many others out there. I am sure donating rsgp to them would be nice though imagine going upto random veneswaylin and trade him 100m he would cry with joy
I just wanted to share my story here real quick. I'm from Venezuela and i'm 17 years old just graduated from high school and want to go to university, i also work as an english tearcher giving particular classes to people (i know it's hard to believe but yes i learned english to teach because my parents don't have lots of money and i need to work some money myself in order to help them with food wages) just want to say how bad it feels that we are being ridiculed by other people, just because i play runescape for money, but let me tell you this: everyday when i go outside i see people asking for food in the streets, or even worse, eating TRASH! And i feel really crazy thinking that playing a stupid game (no offense to osrs players) gives me more chance of survival than getting a real job, and actually feel A LOT more crazy realizing IT IS TRUE! I want a real job to work my way out of this fucking country but 1) extremely low wages 2) a corrupted goverment preventing every Venezuelan from going anywhere to pretend everything is normal in here and 3) a extremely weak economy make it impossible for me and, not only me, every 17 year old venezuelan teenager thinking exactly the same than me "There's no way out" and our parents saying: "We will have to wait until this dictator goes away" and you want me to tell you something? I've been waiting 17 years of my life waiting for things to get better and it just gets worse and worse. This situation makes me angry and sad at the same time and the worst part is we can't do anything. So at this point i personally want to tell you 3 things SirPugger 1) Thank you so much for making a video about this because makes think there's people that hasn't forgotten about all venezuelans just yet and that way more people knows about our's country situation. 2) None of us asked for this situation so please, just because some venezuelan is farming gold on runescape does not give you the right to treat him as an inferior because it's still a human person (i say this because there are some groups of people that irrespect venezuelans in the game's community) 3) I'm really sorry if i'm hurting the osrs economy by selling gold, i was just trying to get a slightly better living in Venezuela which is really difficult by the way, considering that getting even water or food to avoid starvation is an everyday challenge. Thank you for reading the whole comment if you took the time to do so at least when i wanted to express someone heard and if not then sorry to be a bother. Thank you.
Its really messed up if people really care that you sell GP! you should not have to rationalize and feel sorry for it or explain to anyone! as you just did and it is extremely horrible to read.. you have to survive man! fuck what others think. If playing this game helps you and your family put food on the table and live at least in lesser worse conditions then go sell all the gold you can brother. Wish you well
Power to you bro. I respect Venezuelan farmers man. Some fkn privileged nerds are gonna complain they're virtual currency is inflated when for people in your circumstance, it's literally to feed their family. So who cares what they say, nothing wrong with what you guys are doing.
Listening to that interview really broke my heart just imagining and hearing someone being forced to live like that with virtually no way out. Love the new content Pugger this was super interesting and a very important topic to discuss in my opinion!
Straight up, if I lived in Venezuela the last thing on my mind would be hurting the Runescape economy. Your wellbeing comes first, think about how it affects the game when you are in a better living condition.
As i said in another commentary, i'm not proud about being a gold farming. It feels disgusting not being able to have a really well paid job . I'm not even able to study because the student system in general, not just university, is disgusting
My brother was homeless for awhile. He talked about stealing food, which he hated to do, but he said, "when you're hungry, your morals don't mean much of anything." If I was in their shoes you better believe I would be gold farming, and trying everything I possibly could to provide for my family.
the ones that ask for money, pretty cool. try pvming around them, theyll rag bolt you or insult you hoping you get cancer. dont get me started if you try to pk them on the fucking wilderness out of all places, theyll give death threats while giving you homofobic slurs (theyre pretty homofobic in general)
KempQ you guys are so racist and don’t know shit, everyone from every country can sell gold, not only Venezuela, so ignorant for example Afriend is from Lithuania , he plays for living another example is OAK Dice that is the biggest gold seller in runescape == I’m from the Latin community and I know a lot of Venezuelans that plays just for fun===
couldn't agree more, i do hope i'm able to make it by the bank so i actually have something to contribute >.< i'm broke but if even a dollar can aid a friend in need, i will donate indeed. and to those who really can't. offer your 2cents as words can be more valuable to those in need then material things, not saying $ won't help but mental comfort is priceless
@Austin Shoemaker true, most people with real jobs are really struggling over here. For example, on a mont of high lvl pvm with relatively bad luck, i could make maybe 300$-400$ while they make less than 100$ (this being a person with a really good job, 80% of ppl get paid like 20-50$ a month most cases)
@@Chaox15 runescape is the most popular tho, compared with other games, you get the best money per hour ratio. I know people who play wow, poe, lol, tibia, etc. and make a living out of it

im venezuelan and i can say the information you shared is pretty accurate, of course there are a whole lot more information about our economy but thats something that even for us is hard to understand. thank you so much for talking about this and supporting as well. and i can say that some of us been playing this game for over 15 years, like myself. P.S: minimal wage is like 1 dollar monthly by now, and still going down
@Original6Productions Hello, what do you want to know? I am from Venezuela and you are right about this, some pages are dedicated to scamming people, once they get the gold and then they simply disappear
@Original6Productions The problem is that u need between 100-300$ per month just to pay ethernet and food atm, food is even more expensive than any country on the continent because there aren't production anymore. I was able to move last year but it took me 1 year to get 10b (im telecom ing so I was still working and getting 100$ a month + my father getting 50-100$ per month aswell, enough to get food (without meat) for the whole year) but not that many ppl can do that, so most of the venezuelan sells gp every 2 weeks or month, so they can't investment property on their account and getting acknowledge about better money makings, so they just do no requirement money makings or low reqs so if they get ban they can make another account for that mm asap, basically they just play to eat and live, I was able to get 10b/7k usd in that year thanks to raid 2 (I had to get everyday 10-15kc) just because I didn't need to sell that gp to eat, and that's why I was able to move with my father to chile, now we're working here and can send money to my mom and brothers in Venezuela, waiting to be able to bring them here asap, because it's pretty bad live in Venezuela, just imagine very bad ethernet and without electricity 4-6 hours per day, just that is horrible and there are several more problems.
Honestly, I'm happy Jagex doesn't enforce gold farming rules. Frankly, the people in need would be worse off without this game which is crazy to think.
@@stevenyoutsey8989 it was made as a game and turned into something that could benefit their life from playing the game 10-15 hours a day. it's sad its come to that for them but it's also reality.
The only reason they don’t enforce farming rules is because it literally saved RuneScape from completely dying off. Imagine if your game was losing tons of players annually, and a whole country figures out they can just play this game to make a living. It’s a win-win scenario for both sides.
I really felt sad when he said he didn't want to farm gold because it hurts the game. Its not that bad dude, I'd rather he survive and keep his family alive than worry about this shitty game
I knew a girl from venuzuela that played rs for a living. She was nice always mining rune. Then one-day she stopped playing . A few weeks later she was back but on another account i was so relieved
I'm Dominican and I spend a lot of time in Venezuelan cc, and this information is very accurate, Venezuelan are hard worker outside and inside the game, many Venezuelan are humble and nice people. There's other part that are very toxic and unpleasant, specially the ones that spend time in the wilderness. Is really important that you understand that osrs is not the only game that they do goldfarming, osrs is only one of the must famous.

@milenko milic the economical policies are the problem, the fact venezuela economy relied heavily on oil was the problem, how is socialism the problem?
@milenko milic just because you're from there doesn't mean you understand the effects of socialism, making blind assumptions of the state of the country based off of that is ignorance.
I had a friend from Venezuela before and it was crazy how some of the clannies figured out how to get her out of the country to New York I had no idea how they did it since I was not in that conversation
one Venezuelan gaming friend of mine planned to get to Spain.. Her family was better off than most over there and it was a bit easier for her on financial way... no idea how they can do it tho... like most means of transport to get outside of the country are crazy... tbh have lost contact with her... so not sure if she made it....
Exactly what i commented. You can't guarantee the help goes directly to the people in need. You gotta find a charity that guarantees it, and even then it's not a sure thing. Socialist dictators, and dictators in general are horrible. Even if you want to help the people in Venezuela or north korea, all of it goes through the government first and you unknowingly end up supporting their armies and bring in even more of that totalitarian shit.

Hey Pugger, I think it's awesome that you highlighted how a lot of the Venezuelan players also have accounts they play for fun. It's easy to just assume anyone speaking Spanish in game is a gold farmer, but thats clearly not accurate. If an unexpected outcome of this whole situation is that OSRS gains a substantial influx of players from outside the english-speaking world that'd be pretty neat. Also think it says a lot about the appeal of this game if someone who does blast mine/BBD's/revs or whatever for thousands of hours can go home and still want to play more.
As a veteran in the US, it pains me when I hear spoiled people in my own country shit talk the US, I always tell them,"then leave", I would rather have Venezuelans whod appreciate leaving here, or anyone from another poor country, I love my country, hearing this just reminds me how lucky I was to be born here.
Love thins kind of videos, exposing the reality and not only the bad side. Im from Venezuela i still living here. If anyone want to talk about this kind of topics im here!
@@tron359 Totally! Right now I'm working in my company. It's hard to move due the COVID-19 and the gasoline problem here (Funny, we have the biggest oil reserve and can't use it properly) but we manage to solve the "Día a día" - day to day!
This was unexpectedly wholesome coming from a man that usually hunts these types of players (not flaming, just stating it). The fundraiser is a great cause. I hope we as a community can hit the goal together
As a Venezuelan player of OSRS, the game got my attention out of curiosity and necessity too. And now i gotten deep into the game itself, I realize that I really like this game. I didn't sold any gold, since it's getting too hard recently, but it's really crazy how some people are actually earning way more money that a university teacher or a doctor by just playing games. It's a situation that destroys any hope of self improvement because hunger doesn't wait until you feel good, so you gotta act fast and with no doubt. COVID-19 makes it even worse since there is no absolute way to leave the country even as illegal immigrant to try luck in other countries who arent that bad, like Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina or Chile. So the ones remaining here and the ones turning back out of bad luck are bound to endure day by day this endless nightmare. at this point there is no really a reason to trust in any kind of politics and it doesn't matter what the so called political leaders will do about it. I do hate myself and I can't help to blame me when my mom an I ask each other what are we gonna do, because as a young guy you would be proud to provide at least some assistance to your own family and not being a parasite to them. ;y father died almost two years ago out of bad medical service and a lot of complications, and I had to endure it and face it in the reality that we all gonna die soon and maybe not see an end to this. Those reminds come to me everyday as a reminder of my possible future an I don't really like it. You would say "Yeah, if it's that bad why don't go on protesting?", but would you go out to the streets to just get killed and then everyone else would act as if nothing happened at all? Then your name would be used as a sort of fictional martyrdom by any political wing (Which are two faces of the same coin), shaming your own personal believes and convictions with the most inefficient way to handle this humanitarian crisis. People here are not in the position nor the mental state to actually think on a practical solution. If you would ask me, you can even compare it with an apartheid South Africa, but being segregate as the enemy if you are against the government. Then you would need a lot of resources and think power to organize, train an effectively hit critical points of the government's infraastructure. But, guess what, they all are confined in the capital of the country. So no matter what you do in the other states, if you cant hit them in the heart, where they're rooted with all their might, then the efforts would be wasted, as it has happened many times. Sorry for the long comment here. Just wanted to say that OSRS has become to me as a sort of escape to the reality i'm living on day by day, and I'm glad I found a game that actually cares for it's players. Thanks SirPugger, for worrying too and give a little bit of context so everyone can understand us a bit.

Well I played RuneScape for 2 years almost 3. I saw too many venezuelans but they weren't disrespectful at all instead I came affront with too much of them and they were such a good people, and at least this game was a good way to earn some money for a couple years to them. I lost the count about venezuelans I talked with, however almost every American I came affront with were bad, disrespectful, Etc etc. So it's not about the country, it's about the values and the people with good treat to each other
sponsors and the videomaker can ignore the following statement On 18 July 2016, Opera Software ASA announced it had sold its browser, privacy and performance apps, and the Opera brand to Golden Brick Capital Private Equity Fund I Limited Partnership (a consortium of Chinese investors led by Beijing Kunlun Tech Co and Qihoo 360)
@@joephendrix140 I think the idea is: would you rather have the US having it or the Chinese Communist Party? CCP literally places party motivators in business. That's a requirement. It's not possible to have Chinese ownership of an aspect of tech and it not have some link to a tap by the party. That's like if Microsoft had a Republican Strategist Minder on the board of directors reporting to the GOP and the Trump Campaign. I'm not naive, like obviously the bigger picture of what I'm talking about can happen in both countries. But... which way do you think is better?
Holy crap - Thank you for bringing a spotlight on to our country's crisis. Even if it's talking in the context of Runescape, the more info we can get out to the world the better. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for making this video @sirpugger! I hear so many people talking trash about the Venezuelans without understanding the situation at all. 10/10
It's sick that some people have to hang from games like RuneScape. Having people unknowingly or even knowingly fund this state by being lazy themselves. So no wonder if some people find solace in Ironman... These problems live and grow out of places which we won't be able to ever see. I don't just mean that Venezuela is far away country, but what it is to be part of the "world" and what really is the corruption people talk about from time to time. Wars aren't being fought with guns anymore... But I'd like to question that how much is one required to lean towards the "big players"? How much does country have to play for someone else to have their own flag? I don't even know if this is the right question? Then should you address these points, if you wish to proceed with this ensemble? Out of sight, out of mind?
@locke baxter So you don't do rwt gold deals? Well then I'm not talking about you. I think you missed the point. You are right about keeping the streets clean, but I'm not even active player in RuneScape, and never done rwtrades for any game. Even if I were active player I don't think I would have any problems for reporting people as I find it so crazy that there are even people finding their chance of survival from grinding mmorpg. It's quite shocking to hear that there are voice behind those attempts of finding that gold. I wonder how you came to conclusion that it's my fault or partially so, and with that reasoning that I'm not reporting people? Like I said I'm not active player, and so I might not have the keenest eye for suspectible moves, but if it's so clear that the game should see it then I will report it as the game should at least have some register for such accounts. One could spend all of their time hunting rwtraders and bots.
I always felt for the Venezuelan gold farmers, I could figure that they are just trying to make a living and honestly they make better use of the in game content then most players
I meet a guy from there on RuneScape and decided to send him 5$ a week to him, purely of my own will and for no in game or irl items or services, just because he really seemed like a nice guy. He said that it was a life changer, for his whole family; not just himself. It’s just insane the price of a pack of cigarettes has make that much impact.

Honestly just do your part and buy gold from them directly. I "sponsor" two of them per month by buying about ~15-20M from each of them. I just pay them the typical rate of the retail sites. Those sites get a massive cut of the profits (like ~20-30% minimum...sometimes even more), so it helps everyone.

@kerwin1125 I do know a few guys that could use your help though. If you do give to someone, make sure they at least fit the "part" so to speak lol (fluent spanish over voice chat etc.). Some bosses in osrs are like 2 to 4 m per hour !, is crazy i know, jagex should use bonds like tokens in world of warcraft for example, where gold farm for membership helps to maintain the game vía tokens.
You left out a big reason why the Venezuelan economy is terrible. The United States has been applying economic sanctions and embargoes on Venezuelan companies and individuals for over a decade and has been trying to politically isolate Venezuela since 2005. This is because the US does not take kindly to countries that democratically elect socialist governments. If the US really cared about Venezuelans, it would lift the boot off their neck by lifting the sanctions and embargoes. This has been the US playbook throughout the 20th century in Latin/South America (including Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, Panama, and others): country elects leftist government, US destroys their economy (NIxon's "make the economy scream" quote about Chile), US gives weapons or intel to right-wing opposition (like Pinochet), mass killing of leftists occur (Jakarta Method), right-wing government takes over, US companies can start to make lots of money off that country's natural resources, US is happy.

The reason Venezuela had to borrow all that money and couldn't sell their oil is because of us sanctions and embargos. We wanted cheap oil and when they wouldn't cooperate the US government has been almost directly responsible for this economic crisis they are in. Its so sad.

@6eans maan, this is rude :/
6eans do you think everyone that donates to this charity plays RuneScape? Do you know charity’s raise loads of money from wealthy donors that otherwise wouldn’t give. Without charity massive problems go under the radar and unfortunately highly skilled people who are needed by charities can’t work for free so they will collect a wage but without them the charity couldn’t function. Thank you.

Late to commenting, but awesome gesture with this video. I gave a Venezuelan player a bond a few months ago and he thanked me without end, we kept in touch but I never saw much of him after two weeks had gone by. I still think about him to this day.
Caracas was once regarded as one of the most lavish cities in the world.
but them socialism took an inch, then an arm, eventually private citizens lost land, their business and industries "for the common good". Honestly it's sad to see my beloved latino america die at the hands of socialism/communism, one country at a time.
INSANE that we live in a world where acess to a pc and internet is more commen than food
When I get paid next week I am donating. I did this exact level of research a bit over a year ago and my heart breaks for my fellow Venezuelan runescaper players and the countries citizens as a whole. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this... From a an american-el-salvadorian born and raised in the 🇺🇸
You bout to be blessed for this one boii
Dude it’s crazy to me how far your videos have come the last few years and how interesting they are. I think there are so many people who love RuneScape and RuneScape videos but were exhausted by countless ags pking vids. Love seeing unique content like this. Keep it up!!
P.S. I’ll never forget when you built a defense serp account and then they nerfed the serp helm and then you chanced that guy and died for like 120m. Legendary moment lol
I have donated what I could, it's sad and shocking to know how hard it is for others in this world, thanks for bringing light to it and helping out with your platform
Thank you so much for making this video @sirpugger! I hear so many people talking trash about the Venezuelans without understanding the situation at all. 10/10
please don't report these guy's accounts. your rs economy is NOT and NEVER will be more important than the people suffering under Marudo.
Truly man...if RS gold has to be traded in real life, at least let it be for a good cause
I guess these channels at least work as vents for people to get words and feelings said out.
One could spend all of their time hunting rwtraders and bots.
man, those that dislike the video got no heart. Ty for bringing more light onto this crisis, Pugger, much respect.
I always felt for the Venezuelan gold farmers, I could figure that they are just trying to make a living and honestly they make better use of the in game content then most players
Paying them to buff an account is almost low-key charity.
Man.... u really have a big heart.... Thank you so much! From Venezuela, to the world...
LET'S GO! We hit $10,000 in ONE DAY. Thank you all.
REally nice
I want to do the same but how do you get in contect with people in need
@@timwaffel1996 Well I dont know since I was sending money to a single person, I just transferred it through my bank. It sounds like you want to donate to a charity.
@@austinwilburn1772 No I dont. i dont like charity because we never know where the money goes. I would like to transfer directly to people
@@timwaffel1996 You would need to talk to your bank about a wire transfer.
I remember pretending to be Venezuelan by google translating everything they said to me, ended up going pking with them. Great fun, super nice guys
From Venezuela myself but was raised in the states. Ive played this game since I was a kid, now I play and help anyone I can Venezuelan or not its always good to remember its a game but for others its a job a need.
Goal was already reached, but threw in $20. Maybe I'll see if I can help some out in-game sometime.
Nice video! Im currently living in Northern Brazil near Roraima and currently doing missions with Venezuelans. There is a lot here in this area since its the border by Venezuela.
It would have been nice to have subtitles for the interview :) I couldn't understand some of it
Mega: I am venezuelan, and I still live in venezuela
Pugger: Got it, and can you tell me a little bit more about what it is like there now?
Mega: it's to depressing there man, cause, the politic.. the people.. there is so much issues with this country. I had months without food. it is really. litterally.. yeah.
There is this one time like 2 or 3 years ago where I just had breakfast and dinner just that. And I read the comments of the people like just get a job or go leave this country. Man leaving this country is so difficult.
only the passport is like 200 dollars. there is no chance to pay that without years and years of work. Yeah.
Pugger translating about the friend.
Mega: yeah yeah, it's almost {unintelligable} it's just sad and crazy at the same time. A person I know of..
Pugger talking about dinner.
Mega: a month, you have food. for atleast 2 or 3 weeks almost a month, it is not bad but you have only food.
Love the work and support you're doing to show what Venezuelans are dealing with and why they are breaking the real-world trading rules set within the game, instead of just reporting and villainizing them!
Imagine actively playing this game when you were a child and you had a decent living since your country wasn't that kind of a crap, and now being forced to play the game you used to love as a means of a living because an average monthly salary in your country is $4. Welcome to my life.
Damn this is making me want to buy Runescape GP just to help someone out get some food for their family. How could i help out and buy some coins?
Donate to the charity, not the blackmarket. They ppl suffering are not guaranteed to get ur payment, and ur card could be stolen too.
Charity will go to the ppl that need it.
@@plzwork33 charities are sketchy, take a large cut and donating money to countries is no guarantee the government won’t take another cut
I was part of a revenant clan at one time and most of them were from Venezuela. All of them were really nice. I had one pk with me once and he got ags smite with my tb/help. He split with me, which is crazy knowing their situation.
Reading some of the comments about Vene's really breaks my heart. Come on guys. It's a game I know but if it can help save lives and put food on the table then I choose that anyday over a game. We, have a roof over our head and food supplies thanks to the structure of our respective countries and sometimes it can hard to imagine being in someones shoes who is less fortunate. Well done SP
Im from Venezuela and I currently play osrs because the reasons in the video, the situation right now is the worst than in 2017 because of covid-19, normal working people make 1$ a month, there is no gasoline in the country and a lot of other failures in the public services, pm me if you want to know more about it
i get paid tommorow, ill be back to donate, this video broke my heart. i know gold farming is bad for the game but peoples lives are more important than this game to me.
Yo this is awesome that you do this. I have been helping a friend of mine who lives in Venezuela and I send him $ every month and we both play RuneScape and WoW together. Good friend of mine.
Sometimes we just think about ourselves and judge those guys, stay strong brothers, things gonna be better, wish all venezuelans reading that all the best!
A lot people wishing us to die of starving... so why they keep buying gold?
My friend just sent me this vid and it reminded me of an old Venezuelan friend I hadn't talked to in awhile. I donated to the fundraiser, I hope it reaches them in some way.
This video makes me want to find a Venezuelan friend on runescape and send him $10 a week, I’m sure the tiny loss out of my pocket that I wouldn’t notice would go a long way for him
Honestly just do your part and buy gold from them directly. I "sponsor" two of them per month by buying about ~15-20M from each of them. I just pay them the typical rate of the retail sites. Those sites get a massive cut of the profits (like ~20-30% minimum...sometimes even more), so it helps everyone.
gran hombre = big man
@@spicysalsaking791 where could you find someone to sponsor and how do you pay them? Im down to help someone.
@@kerwin1125 Not even joking I know a few. But don't just give money away immediately. Get to know them first.
What's your RSN? Do you mostly PvM, PvP? What kind of build(s) do you have? etc.
I mostly socialize with them to practice my Spanish.
@kerwin1125 I do know a few guys that could use your help though. If you do give to someone, make sure they at least fit the "part" so to speak lol (fluent spanish over voice chat etc.). Even then, being a native Spanish speaker doesn't automatically mean they're poor people in Venezeula. Be weary of scammers.
I also employ several of them to collect weird items for me (e.g. I pay several of them to use already cooked meat and chicken on the Al-kharid stove to force burn them for a burnt collection).
Great video. It'a good to see people raise awarness about the Venezualan crisis.
I have a suggestion for the next time you interview someone. Can you add subtitles so that we don't miss anything about the interview?
Keep it up. :)
Yes yes, usa 🇺🇸, put economical restrictions to Venezuela, that definitely had no effect in their economy.
I love to see these types of videos, in the game I never say that I am from Venezuela in osrs for fear of rejection, I am happy that there are still people who talk about these types of topics in the best way, thanks brother
I’ve been saying this 😂 and you finally made a video of it 😊
Thanks for your vid, im happy to see the other side about us playing RuneScape and other games, just to give you an idea: im teacher in computer science, also work with geographic information systems in Venezuela, i earn like 5$ per month doing that, but selling gold my friends can get 0.4 $ per m.
I am from Venezuela, friend, and I have played this game for 3 years .. and really, right now we are going through a very difficult situation in my beautiful country .. before I used to work in a very good company, but the salary does not reach you at all .. And when I joined with some friends and family to play runescape, I did not understand it, but then I became very fond of the game ... and yes, thanks to the game I have been able to help my family, the money we generate monthly is not much, but if we have enough for food and some necessary things .. excellent content

Wait how do they pay for internet and a computer? Or a phone if they play mobile? Like wtf.
Internet cafes are heavily used where you can pay a small sum to gain access to WiFi and computers. Then from there, gold farm and save up etc etc
internet and a phone cost like less then 1 usd there
@@blade3237 el internet si cuesta menos de 1$ aqui, y es una mierda. Ahora un telefono no, eso se compra con mucho esfuerzo
@@SirPugger ahhhh ok makes sense. Thank you for the response. I figured it had to be something like that. With how corrupt it is over there I really hope the donations aren't being stolen by the government.
Most third-world countries have faster LTE internet than the US and it costs $1 to $5 / month. If anything this should open your eyes up to how much the US overprices internet access.
I have made great friendships with Venezuelan gold farmers, I sponsor a couple privately so they dont have to spend so many hours infront of their computers & can take time to sleep. I dont play runescape currently but still regularly chat to some of these people, they are always so kind and grateful for any donations they even have to use google translate to even communicate with me.
The reason Venezuela had to borrow all that money and couldn't sell their oil is because of us sanctions and embargos. We wanted cheap oil and when they wouldn't cooperate the US government has been almost directly responsible for this economic crisis they are in. Its so sad.
Good to see an opposing voice to all the propaganda.
Americans should know the government is trash. Just look at our situations now. We're lucky to not be as far as Venezuela.
Thank you for this Sir Pugger, we need more empathy, compassion and understanding in the community. People of Venezuela, we are with you! X
i know a venny super cool dude, and hard working imagine playing 10-15 hours a day * like grinding vorkath with out any end* thats horrible, we all know how bad it sucks to farm a boss especially if all the gold is being sold and not kept not because they want too but because they are hungry. my vennie friend had many chances to steal the good drops when we would go bossing never once did had many chances to steal mills and never did me or my friends dirty honestly vennies are friendly af sucks what they have to go through
Hope you help the guy out man. Send some cash or GP his way.
This is great work. I don't know any Spanish but have managed to have a couple conversations with a few Venezuelans who basically said the same thing as in the video. Stuff like this gives real perspective. I wish there was an easier fix to issues like this.
Love that Venezuelan content.
Thanks for talking about this. I'm from Venezuela and i do not have any Problem to talk in English. Just in case you are creating a new video with more Details about it or if you have any question about the Gold farming latin América. I still do not understand why runescape isn't creating some currency to make it possible to profit from the game as today it's easily possible.
Everyone is talking about the venezuelans but no one is mentioning how good Opera GX really is
Great Videos, glad you could educate while providing entertaining content and supporting a great cause!
This man never gives himself a breath in the last half second of his videos lol
I was in Venezuela the summer of 2012 when Maduro was just starting his campaign and everyone there saw it coming. I still maintain relationships with friends I made that summer and thankful almost all of them made it out of the country to the United States with college visas or a European country. It’s insane the amount of poverty the country is going through

Venezuelan here. Just wanted to share my thoughts on the matter.
We also contribute in a lot of skilling/questing services in the black market which is more profitable than grinding the same content for hours on end. Unfortunately, a lot of us fall victim to being overworked and underpaid, so that's another aspect of this business to keep in mind.
Mad respect for that donation!
Professors in America: "Socialism is great!"
Professors in Venezuela: "Yeah, we're fucking outta here."
wtf are you talking about? is socialism equal to corruption for you? it doesn't matter much if the country is socialist or capitalist when it's corrupt to the core
Great video. It's good to let people know about what's happening in Venezuela. I'm a spanish OSRS content creator and like 80% of my subs are venezuelan and I hear about their reality everyday. It's sad and I hope it gets better someday

Even though it's not much I threw a bit in! I feel for the people struggling there.
100% support and donated. I work on refugee issues professionally and can say that Int'l Rescue Committee is a serious NGO that stretches every dollar to benefit people in need.
People need to be more grateful they live in the United States.
You have my respect, I am from Venezuela, it hurts me to see the damage that runescape has suffered, but the reality here is that although they deny it, there are people who die of hunger, you have done more than many who say they love my country, thank you.
There are people who unironically want this system in America
I hope it never happens, as a Venezuelan, when a socialist wins it gives me remorse, I hope to get out of Venezuela soon and experience a free country.

Does anyone actually use Opera GX? Looks interesting
It's alright. Though one thing not mentioned which is a really great feature is the ability to pop videos out of the browser. Basically opens as it's own window with no borders that you can drag anywhere and resize it however you like.
I am from Venezuela and I can only say that it makes me want to cry seeing this kind of thing .. Runescape has been salvation for many .. I understand that many people hate us for the issue of RWT and bad economy in OSRS, but we do it many in order to survive and keep our family. Thanks for the video, the vast majority of Venezuelans would not want to be here, but if we don't, we could simply die (literally ...)
