Love the Trader Steve footage for the low level quests. Completing fight arena with a fang among other higher end gear as a "low level quest" is just great!

@@ChiefStonedBullPlant mahogany trees on Fossil island (and Varlamore), buy a bunch of herbs and do Mastering Mixology. Optionally also do herb runs and/or farming contracts to take breaks from mixology and save gp. You'll unlock potion storage within reasonable time, and while it seems like a waste of money compared to the sellable rewards, consider the cost of buying bank space instead - it's well worth it, not to mention the slight convenience. Yes you'll also lose your mind, but would you argue that's not the point of the game?
Additionally: to make all of this more efficient, do the required 15? Hunter's rumours to unlock a quetzal whistle for transport. You can buy upgrades from GE
i'd say iban's staff has been largely powercrept by simply taking advantage of elemental weaknesses. especially for early-game barrows where ibans really thrived, air spells end up being more economical and more powerful by the time you have access to wave spells
I'll second this I used to use ibans then when I got back into the game after the elemental weaknesses I realized air spells are a way smarter move. Barrows is already expensive enough with all the prayer pots nevermind the recharge cost on ibans staff.
I watched a video about a year ago and they said quest cape should be the first thing you should do. I’m a casual player and after a year and one month, I have 10 quests left. DS2, DT2, MM2, SOR are all on that list lol. I play like once a week now, but when I first started I played 3-4 times a week for like 2 hours at a time. Now I’m grinding slayer to start my next quest. This game is awesome but the grind is real.
If the slayer grind is too slow try wilderness slayer to mix it up. Even accounting for the occasional PK you will still get a lot more xp per hour, especially in the early levels.
I love going on quest binges doing a bunch then never touching them again until I’m like hey why am i not questing that was fun ! Cut to me starring at guide doing tedious stuff (obviously some quests are fun I’m just jking around)
Just about to start questing after coming back to my main for the first time in a year. Gunna make another 5m then straight on questing while high alcing.
Raids are hard but easier then some other rs content like there is not much that can 1 hit you in a raid unless your just standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Probably best to join a group of people who can carry you the first 5-10 kc so you can learn while discord lets everyone explain why you do certain things
@@forbell25 im a old school player from 05, the concept of raids is unfortunately not intriguing to me tbh. Solo is brutal and depending on a team is cancer unless you are in a clan or get lucky with good people. But in all honesty, people play the game in vastly different ways and it seems the aversion to raids or click intensive pvp is seen as a bad thing a majority of the time and I wish that wasn't the case. Skillers and AFK players still exist.
@ImNickTurner I agree but in the same fine line I honestly do think raids are easier then nex or even some other end game content, being hard is fun but dying to one hit because of a faulty prayer or misclick is where I don't want to spend alot of my time. Bosses in general require an extent of wealth to gear up property. Just to get to grind out some kc. Raids really only require a minimum of void armor and weapons switches. Making it abit more mid game then end game for me personally.
Out of the 43k people that have seen this video, we all love your content and would watch it anyways irregardless of in game situations, but for the maybe few thousand that needed it probably found it invaluable sir, thank you for being you sir.
I did dt1 around 90 combat but now I’m 109 and can’t do dt2 it’s too hard for me lol, I have that and tob quest that I gotta do but that’s also a little hard to do solo
I understand the logic behind doing quests like Witch's House and Waterfall Quest to skip a load of early levelling grind. However, given that OSRS is so heavily geared towards the dopamine hit of a new level in a skill, I think shortcutting them like this kills a lot of the fun. For me, at least.
I agree 100%, grinding out new levels on early game content is some of the most fun, I think sometimes guides take the perspective that you need to get high levels as fast as possible instead of maximizing fun
I've kinda always hated questing in RS... the only real reason to do them is because game mechanics and items are locked behind them. The time save of skipping levels may as well be 0 if you ever plan on maxing those skills later or even just getting to a moderately high level like 75. I'd rather just grind them out and have that satisfaction of gaining every level by partaking in the skill itself.
Yeah, go kill cows and try to get to lvl 30 on atk and def w 10hp and a bronze sword, then tell me if the time saved it's 0 lol, also tell me if it's faster getting to 55 slayer as a fresh account doin task w very shitty combat and no black mask than just questing and literally skipping every single lvl 1 through 55 w xp lamps lmao, better yet 42 lvls on AGILITY
getting a quest cape is no longer easy lol that ended with monkey madness 2. im sure im not the only one who has all the quests done except the grand master ones. SOTE is easy, and MM2 really isnt that bad, but even on a close to max account DS2, DT2, and while guthix sleeps all have insanely hard boss and penultimate fights inb4 skill issue....

hmm, I wonder what these quests are?
I wouldn't have the cape without quest helper for sure.
I have to do the new quests from varlamore p2 and forgettable tale. My patch died when I first started it replanted and never went back lmao

Ohhh. So, I can level up my firemaking using Tears of Guthix. This is so much better than Wintertodt 😂
Isn’t it a bit more handy to wait with Tears of Guthix a bit until you have some more questpoints? Instead of ASAP. 1 qp just gives 1 game tick.
Why wait? It resets every week, so just go an get that xp. It is not like unlocking it early will cost you anything vs waiting a month or something

Is the quest name 'Heart of Darkness' a reference to the Legacy of Kain series or the book from 1899? Only really caught it now.
