We're back after a week and change off from this awful game. I was sitting in Diamond 3 while enjoying some time away with my partner and came back to see that Druiswurm was unlimited and Wyverburster was released from the banlist. D-Link is typically an awful matchup for me but I pretty much stomped every single player who went back to their dragons. Got out of Diamond with a 7 game win streak with Diamond 1's matchups being Tearlaments Lightsworn > Branded > Yubel > Runick Spright. We're very prepped for the Duelist Cup coming up! The most notable thing here is obviously the new variant debut of Lunalights with the new Lightsworn cards. While there is a good chunk of the deck dedicated to the Tearlaments engine in the version used in this video, you do not necessarily need to use it for this deck. Tearlaments is just a powerful mill engine with good endboard pieces and functions well with both Lightsworn and Lunalights. The potential of Lightsworns is absolutely immense and not to be understated whatsoever. The duels showcased in the video are but a small fraction of the insane things you can do with the deck. I'm still learning it currently, adjusting the build with new techs, different ratios, etc. It's very easy to time out with this deck especially if you're new to it like myself but the amount of fun I'm having with it is very high. A big thank you to Nelyx and Nighthawk from the Master Duel Meta Discord, they are the Lightsworn helpers for the server and have been giving me guidance on how to play the deck and their advice has been greatly appreciated and invaluable in my progression. I look forward to continuing to fine tune the deck and improve my gameplay because I made a ton of misplays in my duels here. I'll probably build a version without Tearlaments when I get more crafting materials/gems. Anyways, hope you all enjoy the video! LUNALIGHTS BEST DECK!

Definitely needed some Lunalight content after today. That Runick Spright player had Toggle ON to the max and that Snake-Eyes player clearly didn't know what your cards did if they blew Apollousa on Kaleido Chick and not gonna lie, I didn't think Lightsworn would work Lunalights. Great video as always brother and congrats on M5! Can't wait to see how you do in the Duelist Cup!
Well the Apo wasn't too much of a threat once I got to cycle in Serenade Dance and Marten before its proper summon since Snake-Eyes effects have priority for activation before its negates could hit the LL Fusion. I got Chick and LL Fusion, the game is pretty much over at that point cause I can at worst, banish both copies of Chick to resolve the effect. As for Luna LS, they both like milling/sending cards to GY. Pretty much all the synergy you need.
@@royalvandyke By the by, what do you think of the new Poly spell? I think it's cool that we get another way to cheat out Leo Dancer, but being unsearchable really makes me question it's value.
@@owo2312 Heavy Poly is cool, has potential to be really good. Maybe not for cheating Leo Dancer since it's not that hard to get that done but it is another option. There's probably some niche/good uses for it.
It was his only other play after I negated his board cause he never had priority again during our duel and even if he had Spirit of Yubel in hand, Lunalight Chick doesn't allow him to activate it during the battle phase when I banish her.

The Tear Lightsworn variant was realy nice to watch. Was it a 60 card version? This season is ok for me. I'm just tierd of Yubel. One question, do you also have this bug, after the coin toss it says no conection to the server and then get a game loss for it? I know for sure It's not my conecction. Realy weird. When I played these duels, I was on 50 cards. I’ve tested like 45, 50, 60 piles. Still lots to test and play around with. Yeah Yubel sucks to face… And nah, don’t have any bugs like that unfortunately. Hope that is fixed for you. LUNALIGHTS BEST DECK!!
Great video per usual. That luna sworn tear stuff looks kinda cool and I'm mad it made me consider actually pulling on the current pack lol. I would like to try it but I have feeling melodious or something else interesting will show up in October so I gotta hold out.
The milling and gamble of it is so fun and the deck is very much non-linear so you're always having to stay on your toes while also thinking ahead while trying to full get the max potential of your board while playing through disruption plus you can cater your build any way you like. Tons of fun tbh, most fun I've had in a while. Melodious sounds fun as well though, I just have been waiting for LS for a while.
I was almost impressed by the sheer milling power of Tearlaments and Lightsworn, then you had to drop something really devious in there (Archlord Kristya) 🤣, but yeah, Lunalight works well in a lot of different decks, engines and strategies
Oof poor ge player. The runick spright player got what he deserved, especially when he blew everything to make sure maxx c went through. SE wasting a negate on kaleido chick was funny. 😂 Too many good moments in this vid, I'd be making an essay to go through them all. ❤
Realistically I think Scheiren is too good to not run but if you didn't have the material for it, I would run either Summoner Monk and/or Armageddon Knight but they take up your normal summon and are easy handtrap targets. Scheiren just has way more utility and can fix hands sometimes or further extend.
Well I'm obviously biased but I'll always take Lunalight over HERO (and any other deck) but both cool decks. Just love the variety, flexibility and possibilities of Lunalight much more.
@@Purin1023 it was not going to be actually. I make Dweller with Chick/Marten and make S:P to reset Baronne negate if needed. Also had shufflers in GY.
@@Purin1023oh yeah I would have played it out for sure if I were him, I only on paper had an omni and a special summon negate. I just knew in my position that he was not winning that game whatsoever given what was in my extra deck still.

Uhm, may i ask if there is an low budget version of Lunalight? I'm kinda new to the game. If not, what would you said is an safest choice to pair with Lunalight?
While the main deck is pretty inexpensive (discounting any generic staples), the ED will be the bulk of your cost but you can use generic links/XYZ monsters. But you lose access to cards that really work well for the deck. Pure is the cheapest variant probably next to Tri-Brigade maybe... Probably would just farm up gems/dust.
The only card I don't have is "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King", how consistent would be the deck without it? I don't want to use my UR points if I'll use it only on this deck :/
Unfortunately he's pretty good for the deck and I would not opt out of him. Field wide non targeting negate, sets Tenki for extension, decent sized body. Would not play the deck without him. A lot of the ED is one's preference, that guy ain't a preference though.

The first duel you say you did a misplay but I don't see how that was the case. Luna light Perfume also needs to discard a card. If you didn't go the way you did you would've had to figure out another line. The question is would you have won if you sent yellow Marten. I know with her effect she would've got you the fusion spell but the question would be if they even let you use it. Either way it probably would've ended up the same way but just a different path way.
The reason it is a misplay is because Serenade Dance sends for effect, Perfume discards for cost. Meaning if he used Spright Carrot's effect on Serenade Dance, I do NOT get to pitch Marten into the GY to resummon with Perfume as I do not send a card unless it resolves. Sending Marten secures me the second body to begin comboing my plays with Perfume resummon/searching Tiger if Perfume's revive is negated. It is not about getting Lunalight Fusion though it doesn't hurt, it can be discard fodder at that point worst case scenario. The lines are the exact same, I just made an error which could have ended the duel right then and there if he wasn't greedy and went for Maxx C draws.

What would you replace the tear cards with? They serve a pretty good purpose with giving a level 4 body and mills
