      3/8 Impact works great on the filter drain. A seem of oil on the oring makes it easy next time.

    I have one of those Portable Fold-Up Work Platform, never ever considered using it as a work bench/top. Genius!

    Nice video. Please consider keeping the TRD skid plate (and adding red lettering) when you upgrade the rest of the under body armor with CBI plates. That would look awesome.

    Now you’re making me think about bigger things. When you said something about going to Iceland it reminded me of a question that I have been trying to get answered. How did you get your vehicles there boat, train, airplane what?

    Good video, let me include the FJ cruiser in that lot, same set up on later models with bottom mounted oil filter housings.

    I have a 97 4 runner that I change the oil on and trying to take off the skid plate is a huge pain in the neck, but I don’t do that step, then a lot of the oil spills out onto the plate since the drain hole is not big enough making one big mess.

    There's a reason Toyota gives a torque spec for every threaded fastener on the truck. Too bad these numbers are not released to Dealership Techs or TH-camrs....... LOL

      What do you mean by not realeased? Aldata or Mitchell has all the torque specs you need

      @@ron8975 true, they dont know any better or arnt taight it sometimes. However the dealer i worked at had preset torque wrenches for the drain bolts for every tech even the lube techs

    Thank you. Where I change my oil, they have not had changed the small O ring ever. They throw it away every time

    Not trying to be a jerk but follow proper torque specs and the filter housing drain plug will not get stuck on like that.

    as a master mechanic thats done more oil changes then anyone every should have .. i have better luck with the stemp steal oil cups then the aluminum ones ... when it comes to slipping

    This may be a stupid question, but why that oil filter instead of the regular screw on canister?

    Pennzoil?? Mobil 1 is the way. Protects for 20,000 miles! 🇺🇸

      Mobil 1 is great too! We’ve had great experience with both but are noticing how much cleaner this synthetic oil runs 👍🏼

    You can make a funnel out of a quart oil jug. Just cut the bottom off it.

      18ft lb for housing canister
      10ft lb for housing filter drain plug
      14ft lb for oil pan drain plug

    Cartridge oil filters are the dumbest thing ever on a vehicle. Spin on forever
