I've been putting petroleum jelly just inside my nose lately for exactly this reason. I've wondered if it was safe to do that and even thought, "What would Dr. Dray say?" The timing of this video could not be better.
Just more proof that our phones are spying on us
It’s fine to use petroleum just inside slightly. If you need moisture more inside, buy Secaris which is meant for inside and water based. There have been cases when petroleum could cause breathing issues
Equate fragrance free lubricant. My doctor told me it's better and safer.
@@LavenderCross75 that’s for vaginas
Ayr saline gel spray works great.
Our cat, Eliot, got a claw in me a week ago. I cleaned it promptly w/soap & water but the spot raised & was tender for a week. Finally, I thought, "Andrea would say put Vaseline on it !" which is what I did.....& a BandAid. Healed right up in a day. What can't that stuff DO ?? LOL
Also ! For years I dreaded winter because after showers, my skin would burn & itch for hours. I tried all sorts of products but nothing helped. Thanks to YT dermatologists, I learned I had damaged the skin barrier but that it's easy to repair. I started using BioTherma cleansing oil in the shower & Hempz lotion (applying while I'm damp from shower)....this winter, I do not burn or itch, thanks to YT dermatologists. THANK YOU !!!! I was miserable until I found you & followed your advise.
I regret wasting my time reading “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover.
I only read it bc EVERYONE was gushing about how incredible it was and “oh my god, you’ll never believe the ending- I CRIED!”
That book was some of the most predictable formulaic tripe I’ve ever read. I knew how it ended before I was even halfway through, but I pressed on, thinking maybe I would be proven wrong. When I finished it I actually yelled out loud, “THAT’S IT?! That’s the BIG surprise ending?!” So disappointing.
I’ve never regretted reading a book EXCEPT for that one. Books like that are for people who like to tell their friends they read a book.
Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself!!!! The best way to exercise!
Happy Saturday, Dr. Dray and friends!🎊 The antique china divided piece was originally meant for toast!🙀 Back in olden days, it sat on the breakfast table and would be filled with toasted bread. Imagine that?!😄 Wishing everyone a great weekend!✌️💜
Interesting 😊
I picked up a few of them when I was shopping Opportunity Shops. I even found a silver Toast rack. They are great for organizing.
I came here to say that that’s what I thought.
The fact that the topic you covered here is exactly what i needed and the fact that this has happened multiple times is crazy
I always enjoy your weekend vlogs and shopping trips. Happy Saturday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a peaceful evening. 💕
I absolutely LOVE the cucumber gel mask. It is WONDERFUL...❤❤❤
Happy day Dr Dray! I am so with you on Walmart jammies- so soft and beautiful, and they last a long time for me.
I had to stop the video to tell you that I read "The Four Winds" last year. I absolutely loved it! It was so well-written, that I felt like I was in it with the characters and could feel what they were feeling.
I love, love, love the new Neutrogena Hydroboost water cream. It’s perfect for my dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. I started with the smaller .5 oz size and I so appreciate that the company as these available. Can’t wait to get the full size!!!! Thank you, Dr. Dray for bringing it to our attention.
i love your vlogs so much. they keep me going when i'm down.
oh how I love your vlogs, Dr Dray! happy Saturday and cannot wait for tomorrow’s edition! ❤
as a cinephile myself, i was low-key screaming when you took a disc of Asteroid City - definitely worth to watch, although if you haven’t seen anything from Wes Anderson previously this one might feel a little overwhelming, considering his sense of perfecting visual narrative ✨
I bought the new Neutrogena moisturizer off of your recommendation and I absolutely love it !!! Thank you ❤️ Have a wonderful weekend !!!
I’ve been having allergy or sinus problems & have been having nosebleeds when I blow my nose & I use Vaseline because my nose is so dry & hurts. Thank you for a fun video. Have a great weekend! 🥰
Issey Miyaki is a top Japanese designer! L`eau D`issey is a beautiful perfume. Such a good gift that boxset!🤩 thank you for every minute you spend on us! I have been watching you since your second year🥰 hi to Mum and Tybee💛💛
I love the green toast rack!
I have as much problem with dehydration when the weather suddenly changes as when it is persistently dry. Thanks for the tips. I love your toast rack.
the hydro boost water cream is wonderful!!! im also using the etude soon Jung hydro barrier cream and it is amazing!!!!
This year for Valentine's Day I would like the Lego Cherry Blossom (from their botanical range). It will last much longer than real flowers! I really have enough perfume & jewellery. I never had Lego as a child, although, we had lots of fun playing with the wood off-cut blocks that my father brought home from building sites. I also loved doing craft with thr discontinued wall paper sample books. It was the 70's so there were groovy designs, space-age metallic geometrics, regency stripes and Victorian swirly flocked velvet textured wall papers etc. Some of them would have been perfect with that brown bathrobe and a green shag carpet!
👱🏻♀️❤️
I used to play with similar things! In the '70s and early '80s my grandmother used to get these little 2" x 1" fabric swatches in a catalogue, and she'd save them for me so I could sew together doll clothes. They looked terrible. I had no idea what I was doing. But it was fun!
You recommended a humidifier in one of your vids to counteract the dry frozen air outside/dry hot heater air inside and it’s insane the difference it’s made in repairing my moisture barrier! I even find I breathe better at night too. Thanks for your content Dr. Dray!!
Happy Saturday Dr. Dray! I have 2 pair of the Joyspun pjs and love them. They are so comfy and wash well. I bought my granddaughter a Wii at a pawn shop. Her favorite games are Just Dance and the Wii Play which is several athletic games (tennis, bowling, softball, etc.). Like you said its a great workout!
I do the petroleum jelly up the nose in the winter months (in Winnipeg). It really helps keep the nose happy. We have the heat on for 6 months and Winter is dry, dry, dry !
heaters can really dry your nose out
I always put a little pit of petroleum jelly on my lips and around my nose lines because cold weather is really harsh on me 😅. A good book and a warm drink (tea, cocoa or whatever you like ❤) is bliss. Have a great Doctor Andrea and stay safe because the weather is changing continuously 😅.
Happy weekend,Dr Andrea!
I absolutely relate to keeping nice gifts and not using them because "they're too nice" 🤦🏼♀️😂
Your little green dish is a toast cooling stand!
I am the same way, with dancing! I LOVED going out to dance, and i dance alone. No partner needed! I like to jump around and do my own thing. So much fun!
It is a toast rack. The item with the slots. 🌻
Ooo Longaberger baskets! I have a million - love them 🩷💕
I adore the Neutrogena Water Cream. I only used Vanicream moisturizers until this cream, but this is so gentle on my sensitive rosacea prone skin. It's also the first time I can use urea on my face without burning.
I'm shocked you can tolerate urea. I have your same skin type. Urea scares me. 😅
The new Neutrogena's water cream is wonderful. Much improved over the water gel.
Hello, Dr. Dray. We did, indeed, have a cold spell, and my skin was also affected from having the heater on. So, I remembered your advice to use petroleum jelly. Just wow!! 💯 It really helped! My nightime routine typically includes adapelene followed by Gold Bond Age Renew (which I find moisturizing), but for several days I switched to adapelene (let it dry) and applied the PJ. Thank you for keeping us educated on skin care! 65 years of age...SE Texas. ❤
glad to hear this helped
Can’t go wrong with petroleum jelly.❤
@@katmolina2627 I am a petroleum jelly fan now! ❣️
Happy Saturday Dr Dray and all friends!
I always put Vaseline or laneige lip mask in my nose before going to bed in winter and it works wonder. I was in UK during the Xmas last Dec, although the humidity outside is always moist due to constant rain and snow, it was quite dry inside the house because of the heater. I put on Vaseline on my lips and nose and turned on humidifier, and it definitely helped.
I have allergies and used to get nosebleeds too. Glad to know the tampon trick. I don't get many now. As soon as we need heater on I use my little humidifier. It is a n oil infuser and I just put plain water in.
I buy Ayr saline spray to rinse out my nose and it often comes with a little tube of nasal gel which is water soluble and contains no petrolatum whatsoever. That's good for a dry and crusty nose!
That vintage green ceramic piece was originally designed for toast.
Happy Saturday! Love your videos
Yes, I too get nose bleeds easily when it’s dry and I now live in Arizona “ kingdom of dryness” 😆, however I use coconut oil every morning and evening, as a Dr. told me years ago not to use petroleum jelly. the coconut oil works beautifully 😍
I’m in Canada and the air is so dry in the winter here. I have always got nose bleeds too. I’ve actually been this year using Vaseline just inside my nose. It helps so much.
When I lived in Arizona the dry air was horrible and I would get sinus infections...I swear by saline rinses to keep the dust flushed out and the membranes moisturized.
Loving the Gold Bond Retinol Body lotion!
I LOVE exercising with the oculus virtual reality headset on the game Supernatural. it has great music and you swing these bats (controllers) to hit the targets flying toward you to the beat of the music, and squat and lunge to get under triangles that come toward you. it’s really fun and a great workout. and you can also switch it to boxing which is also amazing.
Very timely and useful video, Dr. Dray! Thanks. My sister was just diagnosed with SCC. I searched through your videos and found ones on melanoma and BCC. Have you done one on SCC and I just can't find it?
A joy as always! Thank you ❤️
Happy Saturday Dr Dray!! Hope Your Day is Going Amazing!! Thank You Always for The Videos, Your the Best!!💕
Thank you! You too!
@@DrDrayzday🙏❤️💕❤️🙏
Greetings Jackie Marsh hope u r well n Happy Saturday😀👍💜….
Hi Jackie! Happy Saturday!! I hope you had a beautiful day. Another strangely warm day here. More rain coming in tonight and we're under a flood watch. I woke up super early this morning and decided to just get up and get myself ready and go grocery shopping. I shop at a super Wal-Mart in Virginia which is the closest place to go. Gas is always cheaper in that part of Virginia than in Maryland so I always fill up my car while I'm over there. Got several chores done around the house and am now ready to relax and have tea with my dear sweet friend. I hope you can join me. The kitties are happy to get some early cuddles. I hope you have a nice evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, joy and many blessings and much love to you always. 💟🕊💟🙏💟🐈☕🐈☕💟
Lotramine is also amazing for diaper rashes!!
I always have issues with allergies every day, so I’m constantly blowing my nose and Vaseline is a product I use both day and night on the outside of my nose to prevent any cracking it’s truly a life saver!
That green ceramic is for toast. In England they let the toast cool before buttering.
Happy Saturday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️
Morning!
@@DrDrayzday ❤
If the heater is running I must have a humidifier running too. Thankfully here in San Antonio we only run the heat for about a week out of the year. But I really like the Ayr gel for dry nose and especially when traveling by plane. All of this I learned from you years ago ❤. Thank you, Dr Dray!! You really do save the day and our skin. God bless!
I love the Ayr gel also, I've used it for several years. 😊
I live in Colorado and it is dry. I use Ayr saline nasal gel and it works awesome. Best ever to use inside your nose. Just a little goes a long way.
What is Ayr serum?
@kayrabey1344 it's not a serum but a saline nasal gel. I first bought it at Target, but now I buy it online at Amazon.
Hey Dr.Dray and friends! You know I got nosebleeds too up until my early 20's (humidifier helped some) but last week 15 degree morning temperatures and this week 70 degree morning morning temperatures and, yep, I have been sick all week and it has been a minute since I have been sick!😑😔
Happy Saturday! I was in a hurricane in Mexico a few years ago. A palm tree on the beach was taken down. Boy, you aren’t kidding when you said it’s a major ordeal. The root ball is huge and took many people and equipment to remove it. So sad😢
I’ve been running humidifier. Because we have been running the heater. It is helping some.
Hi ☺️👋
I miss the WII too. I wish they would bring it back especially because it's a more kid friendly option.
Love your green 💚 Jammies! 🥰
Happy Saturday dr dray have a lovely weekend 🎉 😅 xx
You too!!
The Just Dance series for Nintendo Switch! I loved Dance, Dance Revolution on Playstation and arcades, so I’m with you on loving dancing games.
I use Ayr gel to avoid the dryness that comes with the dry cold weather.
RE dancing....This is why I do 11 zoiomba classes a week- dancing plus working out = JOY!
i love watching joshua weissman too!! and highly recommend reading the Fourth Wing series if you like fantasy/adventure. A bit Hunger Games-esque but with dragons 😃 also… should i be lotioning my underarms? i’m afraid how deodorant will layer over it
"..don't forget sunscreen and subscribe.." I thought I heard it incorrectly and then replayed again. Dr Dray did say it lol. Maybe it's not the 1st time for her to say it, but it's my 1st time to hear it from a Derma. How good & warm you are, Dr. Dray!
I used to hit the dance clubs all the time too, I could dance all night long. Like you, I prefer to dance alone, or with my friends lol. They have virtual reality headset games now that are dance based that seem like a really fun way to get a work out in.
Happy Saturday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x🤩💙
I used to get scabs in my nose cuz my nose is always running ( no drugs involved) so I would put castor oil and they would always clear up really fast. Vaseline too but the castor oil worked better for me.
Yup, saline spray every morning!
Love your cuff water stoppers...is there a name for them?
You inspired me to make some out of a nice pair of socks that had a massive heel blowout. I cut the foot part off, hemmed the raw edge to the inside of remaining cuff, then slip over hand and folded top of cuff (top of sock leg) down towards hand. Thanks!
Kristin Hannah is an amazing writer! I hope you enjoy the book!
Happy Saturday Dr Dray 😊
Morning!
Four Winds is so good! Enjoy.
I used to get nosebleeds all the time as a kid, and I even had my nose cauterized a few times. The first time they actually used a red-hot needle, which suuuuuuucked. The last time I got it done I was in college and they had changed methods and used some kind of chemical-- easy peasy lemon squeezy. Haven't had a nosebleed in 25 years now. Yay for modern science!
I’ve had terrible nose dermatitis from months of allergies and colds and having to blow my nose. I have to use a Qtip to insert at least once a day. It’s so raw inside and painful..
Dollar Tree sells athletes foot cream with Clotrimizole - I use it for my doggo’s frequent ear infections
I like the new Neutrogena water gel moisturizer. I only got a trial size ($10 for 1/2 an ounce!!!) So, the price is 😬 but I do like it, super hydrating and doesn't sting.
Yes I get nosebleed in the winter a lot I was in the bathroom once with a bloody nose
You’re right about Target clothes, they have been VERY bad for 3-4 years at least.
The oculus is so fun. Beat Saber is a workout.
I used to have frequent nosebleeds my whole life until finally at 44 years of age I went to an ENT and they rubbed silver nitrate on the inside of my nose where it always bled from, no nose bleeds for 1 year now, I really wish I would have known about this sooner!
Please review the SVR topialyse! There’s barely any reviews on it and I’m looking for something similar to the Bioderma atoderm baume.
It's been in the 40's° in the morninga here in San Diego, California and so dry! However yesterday it was 70°.
Your Princess Leia clip buns are so cute! Is that a wash day routine you do for air drying waves/curls?? I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping up as much with your vlogs 😭 life’s been crazy
She tends to do that to get the hair up out of the way until her hair is done drying and she goes to bed.
@@db-gb5xi gotcha! I look for ways to do that but that one wouldn’t work for me since my head is heavy :( but it’s interesting!!
LOL I still have my Wi! The tennis game is the best! 😅
Happy Saturday! 💕💕
You too!!
Dr. Dray, I tolerate better prescription Adapalene gel of 0.3% and apply retinol cream on top of it. Is my daily routine as affective for anti-aging, collagen production, etc as Tretinoin?
Any tricks for using lip-products with a year-around runny nose ? I have my sunscreen/moisturizer pots always handy, but can only dream about a tinted product.
That book The winners by Fredrik backman is the third in the series about the hockey team. The first book was beartown. I loved the winners! I think you said you read Beartown, so you should just continue with the whole series in order.
The Nintendo Switch has 'Switch Sports' which is their latest gaming console. It's interactive in the same sense the Wii is or you can play it controller/handheld. If you liked the Wii you'll like this.
Issey Myaki is a perfume. There was a pleats please series of perfumes if I'm not mistaken.
Happy Saturday morning 🌄 from my Saturday evening 🌠! I think that green ceramic piece that you have is a toast rack that can be anything else rack actually 🤭
The small tampon trick is a great tip. Have you heard of stopping a nose bleed with a small amount of Jello powder under the upper lip? Is there any scientific relationship between mucosal gelatin and stopping a nose bleed?
I use a little tiny bit slightly on my finger of vicks for years and years
Hello Dr. Dray. Happy Saturday ❤❤❤
Happy Saturday!
Dr Dray, i have what i think is a keloid scar on my jawline from nodular acne. I see where one of the recommended treatments is retinol (adapalene?). But if the keloid is from a build-up of collagen, and retinol helps to Build collagen, wouldn't that be counter-effective? The only thing stopping me from icing it and slicing it off with a scalpel is that i have a cataract and have trouble seeing it clearly- I'm getting desperate.
Dr Dray. Id appreciate if you do a 2024 version of dealing w mental health- seasonal depression. I know you did one awhile back and it was so helpful. You just have such a soothing way of getting us through some dark days. Thanks Iam a huge fan❤
Ugh I am still working on my Goodal Apricot youth firming cream , using it at night only. Will be a while till empty.
I have those plastic lazy Susan under my bathroom sink. it makes it easy. I just twirl to find all my and find stuff. Vaseline is the best!
Living in TX its rare i have to put the heat on. I get nose bleeds all the time (deviated septum)winters being the worse.
I worked with an old school doctor who would ‘off label’ preparation-h for friable nasal mucosa ….
4:11 🤣🤣🤣 I wasn't expecting that description 😆
Could you please review first aid beauty KP products? ❤
