Ned was the boss, in a power of position who had a relationship with a subordinate without reporting it to HR. Which is why he was removed from the company. She should own her past and face consequences but that has nothing to do with the public. The only people she's liable to for her actions are her fiance and people she knows personally. You need to get a grip.
@@hafinessemachine You're looking at this too narrowly. From a personal standpoint--yes, absolutely they are both to blame. From a business standpoint, Ned is most definitely more to blame because he had more of a responsibility given his position in the company. To break it down, here are some of the reasons pp had issue with: 1. What pp perceive to be the irony of Ned's self branding. He built a brand based on being a wife guy and loving his wife..and then cheated on said wife 2. He monopolized on this brand in every way he could (books, videos, etc.). Now, it seems like this was done just to make money rather than him actually loving his wife as much as he claimed 3. The power dynamic 4. How he broke his friends trust 5. That he left the company open to major legal action 6. The finanical risk he left the comapny in. Paying for hr consultants, lawyers, loss of revenue from previously filmed content So yes, they were both to blame for cheating but Ned is more to blame for the problems he caused the company.
@@hafinessemachine oh and BTW they're not both "liable" for their actions. I don't think you understand what that means. They're both responsible for their own actions but not liable. I just wanna offer some food for thought. First, to be clear, there is very little you can do in life that will hurt another person more than cheating on them. It is a given that betrayal in a committed relationship is extremely traumatic and especially cruel if done willfully and carelessly. However, humans are very imperfect beings, and we live at the whims of instincts that were created out of millions of years of environmental influences that decided which personality traits were or were not more likely to get you to a place in life where you could propagate your DNA to the next generation and have them thrive to the point where they did the same. That's how evolution and natural selection just work. So here we are with a lot of instincts we don't truly understand and cannot truly control, made especially hard because they activate without conscious decisions being made, while the semi-artificial society we've created for ourselves is full of strict expectations, and expectations are step 1 in the 2-step process of disappointment. If you've ever spent time with someone you're not meant to be with, and found yourself feeling something you're not meant to feel, you should feel at least a little compassion for the two people who made mistakes here. Nowhere near the compassion you should feel for the people they hurt, but this is not a black and white world where you can only feel nothing or everything. Several times in my life, I have developed feelings for someone I cannot be with, lest I hurt their partner or the person I'm meant to be with, who is the most important person in the world to me. I couldn't prevent these feelings. The feeling of falling in love occupies a space that is different from the one enduring love occupies. Very few long-term couples can keep the falling-in space occupied; it's just not how the process works. I could only resist these feelings, I could not stop them from showing up and attacking me in the first place. I'm happy to say that I have always been successful, but the truth is that I am an extremely self-aware, self-analytical, self-critical person with an annoyingly strong sense of ethics (read: thinky autist) and I think I have some innate advantages over the typical person. I can understand the concept of being a little less skilled, or being weaker, and just giving in, because the world is honestly a pretty dark place sometimes and love is a beacon in the darkness. I don't know what the nature of Ned and Alex's relationship was, it might just have been really stupid hookups in the storage room with no real depth, or it might have been that they were both not with their actual soulmate and they were realizing it too late after recognizing what they needed in each other. Only they and their partners really know whether they feel appropriate shame or just annoyance at being caught. I'm not a religious person, but I have always found the phrase, "There, but for the grace of God, go I," to be an idea I need to remember, i.e. I could make such a mistake. And I've made mistakes. Not that one, but other terrible ones. I just don't feel like, in the absence of any evidence of overt cruelty, I am in a position to point fingers at two people who simply fell in love. I can say they didn't handle it right, I can say they owed their partners so much more than to let them find out the hard way, but I can't say it shouldn't have happened or that I don't understand how it can happen and that it's a crazy evil thing to do. It's not. It's just something they didn't do right. When you do it right, you tell your partner it's over, you break it off cleanly, and then you proceed. Not doing that is their sin. (I am not commenting on the manager/managed dynamic. That could also be problematic, but I really feel like consenting adults can both be pressured and also act out of free will in such a situation. I'll leave that for the lawyers to figure out, if it comes to that. I certainly hope for Alex's mental health that it was truly mutual and consensual and not due to a power imbalance.)
PS: Yes, I did just write a small novel on a small channel's repost of someone else's video. I know, I know. But sometimes I want to talk about something, partially for the sake of sorting out the thoughts and feelings in my own head, and in the hopes that at least one person might read it and take something useful away from it to improve their own life. I am what I am and I'm not going to apologize for it.
Knowing this I can see why she cheated, she had been dating the same person for years without experiencing other people. She made a mistake yall she alreayd gotta live with it
Then make your feelings known to your partner and either take a break or break up. There's no excuse for cheating on someone and betraying the trust of someone you're supposed to love.

You can dislike her and choose not to support any work she may do in the future, same with Ned, but what your calling for is a witch hunt. Which is wrong.
To break it down, here are some of the reasons pp had issue with:
1. What pp perceive to be the irony of Ned's self branding. He built a brand based on being a wife guy and loving his wife..and then cheated on said wife
2. He monopolized on this brand in every way he could (books, videos, etc.). Now, it seems like this was done just to make money rather than him actually loving his wife as much as he claimed
3. The power dynamic
4. How he broke his friends trust
5. That he left the company open to major legal action
6. The finanical risk he left the comapny in. Paying for hr consultants, lawyers, loss of revenue from previously filmed content
So yes, they were both to blame for cheating but Ned is more to blame for the problems he caused the company.
@@hafinessemachine oh and BTW they're not both "liable" for their actions. I don't think you understand what that means. They're both responsible for their own actions but not liable. Ned is liable because he was a superior. The company is liable becuase Ned was an owner of that company, but Alex is not liable. She is the one that can sue both the company and Ned.
I know this probably isn't the reason for reposting, but I've been trying to find one of the dresses on here again because I remembered thinking it was so gorgeous and I wanted to add it to an inspiration board on Pinterest. Thank you!! I couldn't find it anywhere until this video 🙏
I had a moment when I fell for a co worker and instead of pursuing I self sabotoged for months remembered my morals and values, ejected and got out of there
Good for you!! You did the right thing. For me, as soon as someone's married i lose anyyy attraction towards them like just NOPE
The differing opinions on whether to get married or not were so interresting to see, and everythign I come to try Guys videos for. I understand why they had to take this video down though
Love how she got emotional about her love (Ned, was it?)...🙄
Whatever, Alex...if you loved someone so passionately, you wouldn't hurt them voluntarily. Stay single if you just want to cheat...
Hope she saved the receipt for that dress say goodbye to your fiancé and your money… oof
I love Kelsey she has this inviting, awkward, but lively energy that just keeps me pulled in. Her personality seems real af, maybe a bit exaggerated vocally but keeps it legit! 😂
& the dress she showed in front of her man with the shoes looked perfect on her!
i also came just to leave a comment for kelsey. that ethereal, princess dress looked so magical on her! and her new hairstyle is so perfect! i’ve loved her since she went viral like a decade ago and her come up has been so sweet to see.

Ah. Yeah. I can see why this one would've been deleted. Fans flocking to this video would've been... A lot. Which is a shame, since this was one I'd enjoyed in the past. Has anyone found the other video?
What other video?? They took another down?
What other video?
I’m curious also! I think it was the bridesmaid one but they published it again . (Cause near the beginning I looked for it and couldn’t find it. But next day I could)

The girlfriend of that girl was so pretty and nice everyone is so pretty and it’s nice to see everyone happy, it’s sad to see Alec

What kind of person says yes to her partner when she cheating on him with her boss just digusting and she has no morals
It’s a shame that the circumstances surrounding this video ended up being so deeply unfortunate because otherwise the video is good
Yeah, and I searched for this purely to see Kelsey
Does anyone see the similarity between Alex's dress and the dress Ned designed in Without Instructuons? 🤔
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how incredible and badass of a human being Kelsey is! What an icon!
Was looking for this video again to confirm something... This might be a cursed video. Only one person might still be with their partner

@@lexiilow7338 kelsey broke up with her partner a while back so desiree might be the only one still in a relationship

I was really sad about Kelsey and her boyfriend's break up. I think they met on one of the buzzfeed Tinder episodes and they'd been together so long.
I'm glad u reuploaded it! I feel so happy!!!
I feel like her tears were real. Probably tears of sadness. It’s possible that she really did fall in love with Ned.
What she did was so wrong but I can't help but feel sorry for her. Imagine dating someone for 10 years, getting engaged and then falling for your boss. She shouldn't have cheated but her head was probably a mess

Just a reminder that Ned was her boss. What she did was wrong, but she may have felt pressured, we don’t know because we weren’t there. That imbalance in power in their relationship may have not made it consensual. Ned deserves more backlash than Alex because he pursued a relationship with a subordinate at his own company. Please don’t forget that dynamic when judging the situation
Oh boo hoo... The job wasn't even worth having sex for.. Like, come on! She could always leave and it WAS easy. Cheating, wether there is a power imbalance or not, is always a choice
agreed
It seemed very consensual in the pictures. She had a fiancé as well. THEY BOTH DESERVE EQUAL BACKLASH.
She was with a married man with kids. And she stared Ariel in the face every day at work acting like a friend. She deserves equal backlash. She’s known these people for the last 6 years and willingly went along with this disgusting affair. She deserves equal backlash for ruining everyone’s life including her fiancé. I don’t think her ex fiancé would have been as pissed if she didn’t willingly go along with it. She’s a woman in her 30s who was a producer on the show. Not a dumb intern at their first job. She knew better.
I’d have to disagree. She’s most definitely just as in the wrong and we can’t say she deserves less backlash because we don’t know if the whole “power holding” thing is necessarily true. We don’t know even really the half of it. So I think they both definitely deserve equal backlash idgaf
Alex's ex(I guess) looks like gentle giant, who would give best hugs... and Alex threw it all away for quick pop... So does no one else feel like in that picture of will proposing she kinda looks like she doesn't actually care and is just putting on a fake smile?
she waited around a whole decade for a ring at that point the girl has just accepted defeat
I feel like it's a bit unfair to say that, yes she probably felt really shitty inside knowing she was cheating but it's not like she didn't want to marry her boyfriend. she probably thought it was never happening anyway.
I mean she waited 10 years.... she probably got tired of asking by year 6. Then again she did cheat so maybe he did right by waiting so long.
you guys realize they've been together for 10 years and Alex is 24-26 meaning she didn't actually wait THAT LONG?
@@wrvenly 10 years at that point is literally 40% of her entire life. The younger you are, the longer it seems, so I'm not sure what your point is. If she was 40, waiting 10 years would only have been a quarter of her life
It’s unfortunate, really. For starters, it’s unfair for the other girls. Alex really had people fooled. That dress looked pretty on her, but she threw everything away. 10 years down the drain for some guy.
Thanks for this! I searching for this everywhere!
I’m here for the other girls because I have art block and I just generally love how happy they looked-She-who-shall-not-be-named is forever banished.
Edit: Realization time-I’m aromantic and asexual to boot, but planning weddings for funsies is indeed, fun. Yep

Crowns and tiaras are two different things. I do not understand why people confuse the two. Crowns can be worn by kings and queens. Tiaras are traditionally came be worn by anyone lower than them.
You know, she also said that the dress with the "boobs and legs out" made her look ready for a royal wedding😂. It's ok, people in the States get things like that mixed up easily. It's so funny just because that dress wouldn't be allowed on any royal wedding, she looks super lovely in it though and it is kinda regal looking.
The U.S. was literally created out of a desire to reject monarchy lol. Why would we know about that? Although there are tons of things wrong with us too lol. Just saying you have to look at history to understand where people are coming from

the try guys lost money when they pulled out this video and you re-uploaded it so you'd profit from the drama?
And yet you’re watching it
I just wanna offer some food for thought.
We reap what we sow
Knowing this I can see why she cheated, she had been dating the same person for years without experiencing other people. She made a mistake yall she alreayd gotta live with it
Then make your feelings known to your partner and either take a break or break up. There's no excuse for cheating on someone and betraying the trust of someone you're supposed to love.
@@kaofried I mean clearly, I can simply see why she did it. Everyone like I don’t know she could just throw away a 10 year relationship, I can see why now, in relation to her age what those 10 years really look like or
Nah, she didn't have to cheat. She could have gotten her behind up as an adult and left him. Instead she chose to be immature. Cheating is Never excusable.
She’s gonna regret loosing the person she was supposed to be with. They really did look like they were meant to be with each other. They even had the same smile. Idk they’ve been together so long, he may have unfollowed her on social media but it might be to make it seem like he’s not just running back to her.. which he probably will because they have so much history. I am scared he will forgive her and continue the wedding.. just in private. It’s a shame because he deserves better if he was loyal to her that whole entire time.
