Best horn trial vid EVER! I liked all your music school friends and faculty. I hope they let you keep the horn -- this promotion is priceless. I actually noticed a big difference when they tried the horn with the Boston Sax HR Nexus -- and yeah, it's got that Miles Morales vibe going on.

You're a nice young man, an you entertained us nicely, sôyou deserve your viewers 😃. Jazz is alive, thanx Chad, thank you and specially those other jazz players you mentionned in that video 👍🤩
Sounds awesome!! Perhaps the market for this saxophone is more for jazz players, but do you see this being a horn classical players would like too? Since you do both genres, would you play it for classical? Hope all is well!
I can hear the difference in the Nexus! I’m not a Saxophonist but so am a Pianist. I perform and do studio session work so my ears are sensitive to changes in sounds. All of the instruments sound good but I do hear the bottom end that the Nexus brings! Sounds great!
Great video, Not sure if the nexus is available in the UK. BTW, please, does anyone know what music is the background at 2.48? Harp plus orchestra. Is this an Alice Coltrane track? it sounds delicious and the sax too. Great bunch of guys giving it a run for its money. All hail to Nexus!
I'm not even a sax player, but I love your videos! I actually play bass and found your brother's account while searching for something to jam to. "might as well sub to his brother, too!"
I’ve been wanting to buy the Nexus One Tenor for a while, but my saxophone teacher has a policy where he won’t let any of his students buy a new sax unless he tried it out first, that way he can let them know if it’s a good horn. I wish he can try out this horn and let me know what he thinks of it!
the horn and the mouthpiece are great!!!!!!! Consult and I hope they clear me of the doubt: where are the nexus saxophones made? China and assembled in the US or all is US origin??
Just saw the video. That horn is awesome but I am going to have to be content with a box of their reeds and I found the cool rocket ship clarinet t-shirt on eBay. I would love to try that mouthpiece on my B400. Can you bring it with you the next time you come over?

I feel less excited about this horn than I was prior to this video : (. I like the sound but I dont like the lackluster impressions it left on the saxophonists. Makes me less excited to drop 4000 on this thing. Beautiful looking horn though.
Hello, I used to play sax and I stopped since I graduated highschool. I’m trying to get back into practicing and jazz music. I played jazz partially in my junior year and fully my senior year. Never did a transcription or learned any major or minor scales we just played music. Where do find the proper literature to learn the scales and things like that for sax and for keyboard. Thanks for the help
Haha love the video man, everyone sounds awesome!!
Really, the bass player too? 🤡

NO WAY I GO TO THAT COLLEGE CAMPUS FOR MENTORING ON SUNDAYS. I HOPE I SEE YOU THERE
At 6:16, you played cannonball adderley’s solo on milestones. Fantabulous.
Wow! That is one exceptionally sounding sax. Now, they need to design a soprano around the same concepts.
I want a bari
11:38, my man Kevin really played Dat Dere, that is freaking legendary, props to you, Sir Kevin. Also great video, Alto Saxologic Nathan.

The mouthpiece ligature combo adds a really lovely dark tone
“WOAH, it packs a punch! I’m also flat!”
Proof once again that you simply can't have too many saxophone players in the same place without it turning into nonsense.

With the "right" promotion, he will be the Maaahn - actually, he iiiiis.

Super! Wonderful to see/hear all you play the setup. Marcus is very discerning. Beautiful Vibe.
Amazing review mr I’m not a tenor player
6:15 that's cannonball adderley on milestones
I’m definitely gonna tryout some of the reeds
The horn has a pretty nice depth to its sound, I wonder how it’d sound on a classical setup?

Milestones - Cannonball Adderley
Awesome sax btw
BETTER SAX vs Jean Paul! review!
I like the Nexus reeds
Loving your content dude!
2:34 notice how he does this everytime he opens up a new horn
Currently I can play at the same level as one of the saxophonists in this video. No bonus points for guessing which one :(
Id like some Nexus Bari reeds whenever they come out
That transcription was in fact from John Coltrane on Milestones
Cannonball Adderley on Milestones 6:15 😵 so good lol
ngl i mostly play alto but that soundddd omg id switch in a heartbeat 😃
Do you get sent the saxophone to keep? Or is it just sent to test?
6:13 Cannonball on Milestones...nice
Hey brother! Great video. Any opinion on the Nexus vs Eastman 52nd St tenor?
For me, I was waiting to see what Marcus Strickland said!………well, I guess it’s a good then!👊🏿😎

It's like sax unboxing ASMR i swear.

Come to the Frost School of Music pleeeeaaase!!
Where did you get the clarinet rocket ship shirt I need it
That's sounds great man, I'm still preferring my Cannonball brute
So this new nexus seems like the real deal, if I were to look into getting one how would it compare to other tenors like the Yamaha yts 63?
Love your hair

What standard were they playing at the end?

why they let alienware make a saxophone
