When you reach a certain amount of snow on your roof, the heat in your home actually refuses to fall anymore if the walls are properly insulated and the warmth is maintained.

I feel the same way. But God built them to withstand these harsh conditions. The down they have close their skin is such the perfect insulation. The outer feathers covered in there own natural oils prevents moisture from getting close to those down feathers. It's Beautiful thing how they can do this. Tough to watch but she or he knows what they are doing. They take turns.
