Great watch Justin, you keep it simple and understandable with relevant points. Anyone needing an upgrade should be sold on this. Safe Travels, Anton & Tania
I'm glad these episodes are coming out weekly... It gives me a chance to stop hyperventilating as I watch brand new Landcruisers getting chopped up! LOL. I'm glad I saw the finished product in the background in Ep1 so at least I know it has a happy ending. Another great vid. Thanks.
Absolutely un-bloody-believably! I never knew you could do that...to anything! I’m smelling lots of money though. Love to know the end cost when it’s all finished. What a beast! 😱
That is pretty scary to see a brand new car getting cut with an angle grinder, i was more keen on a chop before i seen this video ahahah. Will be a beast when its done mate, cant wait to see the finished result. Cheers.
WOW that is some amazing engineering mate what a amazing feat and effort to ultimately get ur dream rig that will get u and the family to more amazing destinations job well done 👍
great job guys you are rocking this new car! cant wait for you guys to get back on the road when this whole disaster is over. can you pls come to mount gambier next time you are around and visit SORRENTOS CAFE our family own it and my dad would love you to try his beer he makes love you guys
Just goes to show how doing all the right resesrch pays off. Like Caleb said, theres plenty of guys out there that do these conversions, but not this good. The time taken to research and build it properly is definitely worth the dollars paid. Nice work Justin, shes certainly a weapon...
Wow, I knew it was very involved but what an eye opener. This is so much better than a chassis extension. One thing I'd like to know though is "how much is the wheelbase actually extended by over std?
Hi guys great vids only issue is that the cruiser is not parked in my driverway. What was the weight of your last van and GCM with the BT 50? Also did it tow ok as i have a ranger and getting a van built but not sure if the power will be enough.
So you've gone from 6850 kg GCM to 8995 GCM. 2145 extra kgs, and the advantage of the gull wing camper back. Plus car ride, not a bouncy truck. I'm not envious, BS, I'm turning bright green. Interesting to watch the reno. I'm an interstate truckie and budding caravanner. Cops are right on trucks and weights, as they should. Some caravanners have no idea of weights and legal obligations. Talking to a tow truck driver in Alice Springs, every now and then would recover smashed van and car, insurance co would ask him to weigh them. Weigh truck with smashed van, and or car on back, then weigh empty truck, gave the weights. Some vans and or cars were overweight, either by themselves, or GCM, if overweight, unroadworthy, so no insurance payout. So those extra kgs capacity are legal gold.
Well done. Now my thought. The kids getting older. Then camping for them. Each having a tent. So they have there space and you with yours. Then take out there beds and add a bar. Russell
very cool wish we could get these in the states , our 200s are over priced luxury cars sunroof leather 3 rows 2nd row entreatment screens $90,000 us $ toyota should of sold just a basic off roader leave the luxury cars to Lexus do want a 200 some day
Well done guys, you must be stoked. Would love to get something like that. But a question, the AEV guy didn't comment on the GCM and its no on your SSM label either. How does that work when everything I read says GCM upgrades are not available?
1. Cutting up a Brand New 200 Series.... Ouch 2. Where do the rear cuts go? Panel shops? Part out? 3. Do they provide government approved sedatives once the angle grinders start? 4. How do you sell to your partner, we are buying a $75,000 car, then cutting it in half?
YES LOVE BIG COST THERE WHAT ABOUT DRIVING LICENCE BECAUSE GO TO MAX WEIGHT OF 4.5 TON ON YOUR DUAL CAB 200 SERIES CARRY PLUS ADD WEIGHT OF 3.5 TON TAKE ON ROAD TO 8 TON ON CAR LICENCE THAT PUT OVER YOUR LICENCE WEIGHT DRIVING ON ROAD
Oh you naughty boy. So the numbers are the same, just the letters in front change? I have to admit I like some of the music on your vids, where do I find out about them?
Recommended treatment for Covid 19 ‘Stay-at-Home’ 🏴....subscribe to this channel and watch these amazing trip videos during your home confinement. We’re still staying at home in Scotland so a great way to pass some time. Biased as WA is my other ‘home’. Fab trip to Pilbara & Kimberley last year. Planning a future trip up the Dampier Peninsula. Brilliant videos.
Martin Black to spec an f truck to what we have done here would cost more, and it’s hard to get parts and mechanical work on f trucks in remote areas of Australia
I cant wait to win the lotto to get one of these. Stay safe. Cheers Steve

@@l-shizzle8678 Something fishy is goin on here with the GCM. No straight answers.
@@arielle_australia Yep, GCM upgrades are NOT legal in qld
Can you sell all the stuff that’s been cut out to recover some cost?
Geoff you could probably get a bit, but it would be a hassle for us as I have nowhere to store it
Thoroughly enjoyed the video.. but is this not just upgrading a tundra with extra steps? No hate just curious

Australia is strange. It’s not ok to install 25+ offset rims but it’s ok to make a car longer
why not just buy a f 250 and be done with it all these modifications on these 200 series are standard on a f truck
Rather all the Toyota mechanicals I suspect.
Martin Black to spec an f truck to what we have done here would cost more, and it’s hard to get parts and mechanical work on f trucks in remote areas of Australia
When's the next video?
How does this affect the manufacturer warranty. Just out of interest as in the UK manufacturers try to wriggle or of anything
it has none. Toyota will not warrant a modified vehicle
@@c10196 The radio might still be covered under warranty but that`s about it.
Shit mate, are you retired AFL player or something?
Not everyone can trip in a van and buy a new 200 then chop it up.
