Man this song was probably one of my favorite songs growing up! I was born in 1982 and I really enjoyed Warren G! I’m surprise the song didn’t gain more popularity! The beat is definitely good!
I like how Warren let them young cats shine on this song, and all three of them BROUGHT IT! Mr. Malik, Bad Azz, and Perfec. See, this is the shit I miss. Rappers in a music video carrying they own weight with the lyrics and stage presence.
90's rap had piano's violens saxaphones galore - check out a lot of dj premiers work too. but honestly all the producers back then had sick piano loops
The cat who took care of the first verse in this song, Mr. Malik, was pretty good. He had good stage presence, he had manic energy, and most of all that brother could flow. It's a shame his career didn't take off. And on top of that he's Snoop Dogg's cousin. I think Malik wanted to carry his own baggage in his rap career and then he faded away.
This is my track beat back in 1997 I had this on the Warren G I shot the Sherriff single I kinda let down in the views it has should have millions yes I agree too!
This should've been the lead single. Instead of I Shot The Sheriff. I remember hearing the Sheriff song getting play on 99 Jamz (Miam, F). During the summer of 1997. But never heard this played in my area unfortunately. Because this song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
warren g will always be one of the greatest rappers , highly underrated but one of the truest rappers, -lil chris broward county general we see you down here in south florida , g'd up peace out warren
Paul Woods fucc L.L how u fina hate on da WESTCOAST he hated on alot of WESTCOAST rappers cuz they was blowin up. durin da G-FUNK ERA.. UHHH-OHHHH!!! 😂😂😂
he dissed Warren in the song named "Hollis to Hollywood" he was very jealous, the same way he dissed Pac .. I love Warren very much but that song from LL was a good one .. but he dissed with 2 bars only and they killed him I mean they dedicated the whole song to him :))) he didn't even respond
@tlig never highly regarded? He wasn't as famous as the most famous, but he coined G-Funk and he was actually quite highly regarded. Warren G just never made it as big as his big brother Dre, Snoop or Tupac rapping but G Funk lives on.
@MsForage Soooo True! It's so funny when you think how many people talk about how great the 90s were. Warren was never a highly regarded rapper, I mean ever! Yet this days....
Damn Warren G is so smooth and gangsta , one of the most underappreciated rapper/character in the history of the west
Rip badazz. This was the first song i heard him on.
same
Jimmy Hank yup me too 🥺
Albums are 🏆
It was a shame Mr Malik never came out with a full solo album. That track on the Southwest Riders soundtrack was sick. Big Bank
Hershey LOC
Man, you're talking back.

West coast at its finest. Warren G always had a unique ear for music. Mixing jazz, old school r&b with phat hip hop beats! RIP Badazz.

One of my fav songs, The W.g was the shit.. wish him N everyone today could make hits like thiss.>!!!
Warren G was dissin LL...never caught that until now. I wonder what that was about
LL was pissed because Warren G single handled saved Def Jam in the 90's when Def Jam was signing artist left and right
Paul Woods
fucc L.L how u fina hate on da WESTCOAST he hated on alot of WESTCOAST rappers cuz they was blowin up.
durin da G-FUNK ERA..
UHHH-OHHHH!!!
😂😂😂
We knew about it when it happened. LL fired first in Hollis to hollywood. It was more of a hip hop east west type beef. They didn't take it serious.
he dissed Warren in the song named "Hollis to Hollywood" he was very jealous, the same way he dissed Pac .. I love Warren very much but that song from LL was a good one .. but he dissed with 2 bars only and they killed him I mean they dedicated the whole song to him :))) he didn't even respond
@@markvgarcia Warren G wanted that LL Cool J smoke
Man, I wanna get back 2 the 90's too!
Why is it that every song Warren G does has to be fucking awesome?
Juice World Forever 🌎 999 💯🕊️👑

How have I never seen this? I'm a huge warren g fan (but only his 90s stuff)
this is second studio album's 8th single .. it's LL cool J diss
Travis Bickle what caused this friction between LL and Warren? Lol was it some def jam tension?
Hershey loc should of had his own album and would of been interesting if it was on DEATHROW. Hes hard asf
R.I.P Nate, heaven needed you not a day too late. 2PAC was losing control and you were called to REGULATE.
