- Come on a little adventure with me in Breckenridge, Colorado where we will journey up to the highest chairlift in North America! And maybe a little higher too!

I had to watch this because I look at Imperial every day from the top of chair 6 dreaming that it will open this season. But at least the hike to the bowl on peak 6 is open most days and is still pretty sick

Beautiful! Slow down the lift shots a little bit, they went by too fast for my kids to truly enjoy, we are from Minnesota where a couple hundred feed is pretty big deal!

Nice. Great weather. I 'll be there next week. Camera doesn't quite do the t-bar justice and show how steep it is. Most of the times I've been on that it's been a blowing whiteout then the summit is closed. So much work to get to the top. Great mountain, great vibe, can't wait for apres at The Maggie.

Can you go all the way up this chair lift and don’t ski down? Have a trip planned and would love to make it to the summit for the experience but me and my wife can’t ski, we will be practicing some skiing but I doubt we will get enough experience to attempt to come down from the top! Hi Pedro. Unfortunately you cannot get up there unless you are skiing or snowboarding. But you and your wife can ride the gondola for free and from there you two might be able to ride the Colorado SuperChair up for a scenic ride. Though I'm not sure if they are doing scenic rides. Here's the ski resort number 970-453-5000. Good luck and have a great trip!

I love Breck. I was there in early Feb. I did this imperial bowl run a few times and the hiked up to the summit. Incredible skiing. Great video.

@@xbudderbrox I hear you, I had to take a couple of practice runs on trails (Gone girl, Mach 1) in order to get my guts up for it. With the altitude, it was work but fun.
It’s different when you live up there and can practice often.

Up there it can get kinda gnarly in the Lake Chutes. There is some mellow lines uo there too lime the one you see me here doing. Proceed with caution and know your limits.

Is the imperial typically opened this late in the season? Today is March 8th and their website shows it’s not opened. Not sure how much it was open this year
It all depends on snowfall. We had a tremendous amount of snowfall and some late April snow storms when I shot this video. This season has been sort of a dry one and that's affecting the higher alpine. The Imperial has not been open that much this season.

I've climbed that before on my first time mountain snowboarding.. being a midwest guy. Was a blast.. very first time we went up had a white out.. couldn't see your hand in front of your face.. was freaky and bad ass at the same time.. lol

@@stevantures I did It! It was amazing! We were lucky enough to get her a ride down on snowmobile and I snowboarded down slowly. It was the best

Isn't that safety bar on chairlifts there for safety? I mean it is there for a reason so please put it down next time. As a european who goes skiing every year, I can tell you that its always better to put it down. Other than that, pretty good video.
