I read your comment every time I come back to listen to this song, and it makes me both happy and sad. We're such a small, underdeveloped country that we're really not used to be leaders in anything, and yet in Eurovision we really were powerhouse as you said, it was one time a year when I felt that we were much stronger and more important country that we really are. But we can't send contenders anymore due to the huge debt Bosnian national television has to the European broadcasting union, which is nothing but another example of countries inner complexity and inefficiency.

Pravi pokazatelj da devojke mogu biti atraktivne i na ovakav nacin... Sve skladno, umereno, nezno, kulturno... Predivna devojka... Predivan glas..
Ne može se opisati koliko je ovo fenomenalno izvođenje pesme. Znači i kamere, i zvuk, i boje, i haljina, i plesači, i sve. Kako vreme prolazi, sve više mi se čini da je bila konkurencija između obeju Marija - odnosno između Šestić I Šerifović. Dve Marije, dva divna nastupa, dve fenomenalne pesme, dve duboke patnje, dve emocionalne poezije. A šteta iste večeri otpevane, jer da su se pevale jedna ove godine druga druge, i Beograd i Sarajevo bi bili domaćini Evrovizije, i nikako ne bi mi bio žao što ne pobedile obe pesme. A sad mi je sve više žao što ne pobedi Bosna s ovim remek delom. Al tako to sve biva 😅

Mi ih u Sarajevu obozavamo :) Drago mi je vidjeti da ih i ti volis, respekt, treba muda imati za tim u krugovima u kojima se kreces :)

Yes but Bosnia,Croatia Serbia & Montenegro uses serbo-croatian as their primary language. Only unique Balkan languages in my opinion are Albanian Macedonian Bulgarian Greek and Romanian for Eurovision

It is probably due to Ottoman influence - they were present in the Balkans for around half a millenium (some 500 years - of course depending on the area/territory). Spain/Portugal and Balkan history has a similarity in the Arab/Berber/Muslim ruling in Iberia vs Ottoman/Muslim ruling in the Balkans, but as the Spanish/Portuguese "kicked out" the Arab/Berbers from Iberia, the Ottomans were already expanding in the Balkans. There is probably Arab/Berber influence on Spanish/Portuguese music as well as other aspects. The Ottomans were Turkic and the Turkic peoples already had a presence in the Middle-East by the 9th century - they had taken over the caliphate in Baghdad - the Caliph (ruler) had to answer to the Turkic soldiers otherwise he would be quickly replaced. The Ottomans also held North Africa. The modern Turkic world spans from Eastern Europe to Western Ch!na (X!'an region - Uyghurs) - over 5,000 kilometers. While the Arab world spans from Morocco to Iraq (including Iraq) - just to illustrate that these were different people/countries. There is a genre of music called Sevdalinka that has some Sephardic influence from Jewish people that fleed the Reconquista and settled in Bosnia which was part of the Ottoman empire by that time.

Vreme koje je proteklo (a vreme je najbolji sudija) pokazuje koliko je ova pesma odlicna. Sta vise, mnogo cesce se danas cuje Rijeka, nego Molitva.
