Sweden did not want and the rules changed .. France pushed to keep singing in national language. It was put again. But Sweden asked again and then it was removed. Now only few countries in national language. For sure France and Serbia will not sing in English ah ah
@@mrmilan6514 The 'problem' was all Serbians in the Arena singed along because we adored the song. If you pay attention you can hear it, it sounds like an echo if you don't know what it is, specially because it'n not a common thing to see at Eurovision like it is in normal concerts. I think Jelena from one point onward couldn't hear the music because audience was that load so she started to miss the ques. But for me that makes this song even more magical.
Oh, do you say "hvala" for "thank you" in Serbian? Thanks to Slovenian entrey this year, I learnt it meant "thank you" in Slovenian too, so do the 2 languages share the same root, some same words? I'm curious!
This language is so beautiful… I used to sing Molitva to my nephew as a lullaby. I didn’t know Oro back then. But I have kids, I’ll add to my repertoire. This song is so sweet, so full of passion… it gives me the chills.

agree with you on that one and the very first song to win this song contest was back in 1989 with Riva Rock Me Yugoslavia because it's technically considered serbo-croatian because a Bosnian and a Croat when speaking to a Serb can use their own language. If the Serbian speaker ends up using Torlakian Dialect then a Bulgarian or a Macedonian person can understand them since that's the closest dialect of this language close to Bulgarian and Macedonian languages.
Correct and Slavic language wise it would be rivaled by Russia 2009 🇷🇺 since Eastern Slavic languages like Russian can deliver same emotional messages as Serbo-Croatian like Jelena's 2008 and Severina's 2006 song

One of my favorite entries! When Serbia sends this powerballads they are AMAZING! There is something about the Serbian language that portraits emotions so deep...this entry along with Lane Moje and of course Molitva are a testament of how Serbia can be such Powerhouse at Eurovision.

I honestly miss the flair of Balkan Ballad. And the best ballads are either coming from Serbia or BIH. I enjoy them a lot and hope there's gonna be a fantastic Serbian ballad again in the ESC this year. It just puts the taste to the ESC.
