Great tents! I have the Howqua 3 which is great.
Just a TIP... I added 2 extra short guy ropes, one at each end going from the centre of each pole tube to the ground. Just feed the poles through the loop of the ropes and peg them to the ground so you can quickly free stand the tent without the corner pegs. Then you can throw the fly over to keep it all dry and peg it out with only 4 pegs if you want to

Product ideas - tent cram sack, no folding or rolling pack up just cram it into sack, instead of putting your tent on top of a tarp to protect it use a sand mat, larger than the ten footprint so it extends into the vestibule, it’s like shade cloth so the sand an dirt falls through an you don’t track it into the tent, also makes a great dirt free area for packing gear, or just laying down shaking off that hangover.

Well done, glad you can recommend a product because you use it and it works well. Take care...yes I do have one, the two man I like a little room and the Hellenox bed is just bloody perfect!

Thanks for the review, great 'walk through' you have provided great context and sense of dimensions. I have opted for the 3 person in this tent as my dog is a sprawler, and it also fits a tiny camp dunny for those 'night time cbf'd going outside in the rain' moments 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Good for cycling too

I think if there's 2 of you going camping and you know you're going to be staying in the same spot for a couple of days or so, then both tents would be fantastic to keep all your kit and dirty gear in the smaller tent and the larger tent would now be more comfortable for two with just your bedding and clean clothing and the little things you use 👍 so I would get both and if I'm off on my own just take one 👍 great stuff mark 👌

i recon snow and ice would sit in that middle part and eventually collapse it, for snow you really need a dome tent or one of those single pole tents where snow cant sit on top but can slide down either side, snow and weighs a lot so you dont want it accumulating on your tent, a collapse at night during a blizzard could be deadly

In a raging downpour, setting up either size tent would let water into the tent before you got the fly on. Is that correct? I'm interested. Great video.

Thought I had found the ultimate tent until I sore the poor ventilation, why didn't they make the mesh go all the way to the floor so you get the benefit of the flow through ventilation instead of lying in still air & not being able to see out.

  • @ronaldwhite5670
    @ronaldwhite5670 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Mark, you’ve done a great job again. One question, as you said......the water will probably flow across the ground in this direction. When it does, and if in a heavy downpour, how high would it be if it flowed over the ground sheet, up over the upturned sides, into your tent. It looks like it could cope with 3 to 4 inches of water flowing across the ground. Yes/no? Good show mate!

Hey Mark. I'm an old bendigo boy myself. On a totally unrelated topic could you do a video on your camera and microphone setup especially the set up on your helmet. I've tried to put a microphone into my full face helmet plugged into Garmin virb xe camera but I loose audio quality once I start moving. Not sure if you have done one in the past but an updated video would be great.
I recently did a solo return trip to Perth and videoed the whole trip and spoke the whole way only to come home with minimal clear audio.
