Universal Studios Beijing (Chinese: 北京环球影城) is a Universal theme park in Beijing that opened in 2021 as part of Universal Beijing Resort. The park would become the fifth Universal Studios-branded theme park in the world, the seventh Universal-built park overall, and the third in Asia, after Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore.
The project was announced on October 13, 2014 with the plan to invest 20 billion RMB (US$3.3 billion) into the new theme park; a groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 31, 2016. It will feature attractions themed primarily to Universal-owned movies, TV shows, animation, and music, as well as licensed properties from other companies (e.g., Warner Bros. etc.)
Universal Studios Beijing is approximately 54 hectares (130 acres) in area, occupying the northeastern most part of the 400-hectare (990-acre) Universal Beijing Resort. The theme park's list of attractions has not yet been officially announced, but some of the park's planned amenities and themed areas have been revealed in concept artwork and promotional materials. As of October 2019, the park is planning to construct seven themed zones, each surrounding a large, central lagoon.

A Kung Fu Panda attraction should never be lame.
Hollywoods version is better I rode both
Ngl, the queue looks more entertaining than the actual ride.
That queue line setup is out of this world! Haha
so right why not build a starway ti the palsce thst make the ride look more realistic
Too bad the ride itself doesn’t live up to the quality of the movies.
Say all you want about Disney, at least they’ve mastered pacing and storytelling with dark water rides. Can’t believe this is the same park with the Jurassic world ride.
the po animatronics at the end are horrifying 😭😭
It looks like they put no effort into the animatronics and sets. The animation videos are nice but everything else is very subpar
Wahoo - pleased you liked the projections :)
I don’t think the problem is with the animatronics and sets. They look fine, but not great. The big issue is that boat rides are slow and can’t match the high-energy that Kung Fu Panda needs. If it was something like a Trolls musical boat ride, it’d fit much better.
@@rckblzrNot every Universal ride needs to be high energy and fast paced
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch No, but it should fit the source material.
This looks freaking awesome I love the animatronics
it looks like they spent all the budget on the jurassic world ride lmao
this ride felt like 10 hours long
This ride sure does tell the story about kung fu panda 4.
kung fu panda 4 is not released yet , the ride is referring to kung fu panda 3 which released in 2016
Looks amazing
Wow, that is Awesome. Also I do like The Kung Fu Panda films because it part of my Awesome-athon! It's about the story of Po: an Panda who has become the Dragon Warrior, with Master Shifu and The Furious Five: Tigress, Monkey, Crane, Viper, Mantis. Together they battle Evil Enemies and Protect the Valley of Peace in Ancient China. Also Po will find his Destiny, Inner Peace, and the Power of Chi, also Train an Village of Pandas.
The ride suits perfectly with Kung Fu Panda. It takes place in China and the theme park was in China!
This is just like splash mountain from Disneyland
this ride is such a failure in china.. it received tons of critiques by chinese guests and the line is never longer than 10 minutes. the line set up area is just embarrassing.
Totally agree. The land is amazing, but this ride was a bit of a dud.
Cross your fingers that this ride kung fu panda journey of the dragon warrior and new Jurassic world will make it to epic universe here in Florida.
@@gsesquire3441 Yeah, I have to agree with you on that one. The Jurassic World Darkride looks incredible but I just can't see them building another Jurassic style area in the resort. And sadly if you look at google earth there simply isn't any space left in islands of adventure to build such a huge ride in the existing area... :(
@@gsesquire3441 Are you talking about Universal Hollywood? There is already a Transformers ride in UO, and there is no Water World in the Florida Resort. Super Nintendo World is also rumored to a part of Epic Universe, not an addition to one of the existing parks.
Those attractions you speak of sound exciting and I would like to see a source on those to read up on, but they don't sound like they'd fit in Florida. And the JW Dark Ride is probably not coming anywhere else too ):
hopefully not, cuz this level of animatronics seems very subpar
Everything that doesn't make sense, the crocodile masters that seem to be there don't even exist from Kung Fu Panda but the movie hasn't even been released. I have an idea that if the movie was released on that date this year
Cool
To go to be Kung Fu Panda 4 so now no one would be stressed and the original Kung Fu Panda 4 building 5
General Kai✅️
Kai's theme✅️
Where is Shen and Tailung?
5:19 Sounds like the Anime Villian voice
So much for Universal taking the lead in theme parks after Disney's recent screw ups, am I right? It does beg the question on who is the actual winner of these theme parks.
Four screw ups (this, Kong, F&F, and Fallon). Disneys slipped up with Rise of Resistance, Falcon, Frozen, Runaway Railway, Web Slingers, Nano Battle, 7D Mine Train, Slinky Dog, Pixar Pier, Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land (11 slip ups). GOTG, is honestly solid, as is Ratatouille imo, and then Pandora is pretty great (probably the last great thing they have done). Universal has done a worthy retheme of JP River Adventure, Velocicoaster, JW Adventure, Hagrid’s, Super Nintendo World, Bourne Stuntacular, and Secret Life of Pets. I’d say there’s no question, and Uni is still winning. Even winners have their bad days and setbacks.
@@NinthShinigami Some of the Disney attractions weren't slip ups like Frozen and Runaway Railway, and Hagrid's and the JW retheme had massive problems when they first opened. But like RotR, they were eventually fixed.
@@raphaelmarquez9650 well at least imo both were screw ups and believe it or not a lot of people agree (including Disney fans). Frozen may not be THAT much of a screw up, but Runaway certainly is
@@NinthShinigamiDisney has never screwed up until this generation and for now universal is actually surpassing disney in every way possible like movies, new rides, and etc
I watched this in 2 times speed and its still so slow :
3 Universal parks in Asia?
That is correct. Japan, Singapore and Beijing.
If you watch it in 1.25 speed, it’s actually a very well done ride. It just moves too slow here
For those wondering, not every ride with Animatronics has to meet the same quality as Rise of The Resistance.
Both are pretty mid rides imo
@@NinthShinigami ok anime pfp
Let’s not make fun of people for having an anime pfp ngl
I wasn’t expecting this ride to be the next Rise of the Resistance, but I was expecting it to be at least fun, which it isn’t.
Why is this ride has that Kung Fu Panda ripped off quality 😹 especially the animatronics
It’s like Universal stole it’s Qi and turned it into something it’s not.
The ride vehicles are all wrong. I get it, the boats have a higher capacity and its Kung Fu Panda in China, but the boats are slow moving and the guests’ exposure to each of the scenes lingers on for too long because of it. Trackless ride vehicles set at a quicker pace would have been perfect for this ride. They would have complimented these show scenes much better and made the attraction more exciting. The domed battle as the finale could have been a rousing climax if the ride vehicles would have circled the room a couple of times before exiting to the farewell scenes. Definitely a missed opportunity.
This roller coaster will be legendary!
Am sad that SpongeBob was going to have a ride but it’s replace by Kung fu panda
We definitely gotta have this ride at universal studios epic universe it’s so unique and it’s way better than universal studios Hollywood in my opinion would say as shown on 0:01.
What does ush have to do with this?
@@imsocool5932USH has a Kung Fu Panda show.
Since they made a boat ride and own veggietales they could make a Jonah boat ride.
Kung Fu Panda 50 Years Of TV
The queue looks beautiful, too bad the actual ride is boring and just really underwhelming.
Underwhelming should not be the word used to describe an attraction based on as great as Kung Fu Panda.
The property deserves better than this.
What in a world is this
How.....is this ride this lame??? Like I am genuinely surprised. Of all the technology they could be flexing too with the Jurassic World ride a good example.
As it was mentioned before, it was originally going to be a Spongebob ride, but they changed it later in development, but didn't change the ride system.
Failed my expectations completely! At this time and age, and UNIVERSAL gives us that- unbelievable. Disappointing.
This would’ve been better if it was like transformers
Universal Studios Beijing
Paramount needs this universal doesn't own it byt good job
They do own the IP, since they bought dreamworks Some years ago
This is so poor even for Kung Fu Panda 💀💀💀
OMG this Universal park is a big shit
