The screen elements look really well done, and I like the part where they are destroying the village, but it seems like they cheaped out on the figures
So this ride, as of right now, is my very first introduction to Universal's latest Chinese park in Beijing. ... And it's a Kung Fu Panda ride. Makes sense.
Yeah, I can see what people mean about the animatronics. I know a lot of actuators are needed to realistically portray movement and the face is such a small area to work with, but that's where it is borderline uncanny valley. Po and Tigris are most noticeable; their lips flap but they have no buccinator or masseter movements in the cheeks. It's less noticeable in Mr. Ping since he's a goose and you don't really get cheek muscles with a bill.
The screens look pretty good, i would love to play minintendo on it, but the biggest downside was the animatronics, the people now have to see the technology nowadays for the best atraction
my main problem with it is that you can completely see the entire next show scene that the boat ahead of you is going through before you fall and then have to go through it again yourself
It's a disappointingly poor attraction, and it seems to have been completely unavoidable. Why is Jurassic World so ridiculously impressive but this exists alongside it? This looks worse than even the Motiongate dark rides.
The Animatronics look like they where from the 1990. Its a pity. They could make them better with todays Technology, I guess even let them do Kung fu Moves. And not like this 😐
Probably put all their budget into the Jurassic World attraction which has AMAZING animatronics and had to make due haha. Still it's a better effort than Disney that would rather spend a fraction of their budget on one animatronic and the rest totally on screen elements. Which is hilarious to say given that USED to be Universal's mantra.
Cute, would love to ride it. However, not bad enough to fly all the way to Beijing. Maybe they will build it in the new upcoming Universal Epic Universe park.
Wow…..universal really did a half assed job with this ride. I mean I guess it’s better than that statue filled hotel Transylvania ride but this isn’t much better. This is barely a ride…it’s just kind of…watch a movie on a boat.
It's ironic. Disney has been cheaping out big time with their US-based parks and going hard with their worldwide parks, while Universal has been going hard with their US parks and cheaping out on their worldwide parks.

That's right!!!

I think it's little boring
Wow! Screen and screen and screen. Waiting in line just for a cinema with robotic animatronic… Looks so fun!!!

The drop is rather soft, but they obviously target very young riders, who are the core fans of the franchise.
For the kids

I'd even take the Dreamworks Theater in Hollywood over this. I doubt the people in charge of JWA made this ride.

The animatronics are the only thing really impressive, for the rest it's screens and cut-outs
And it's a liiiiitle noisy.Hard to hear clearly, even if I'm Chinese

Looks like it’s based off of pirates of the Caribbean ride
@@Ramenbrothh_Art pirates of the Caribbean has a better drop then this.

北京ユニバーサルスタジオ
Omgggg
Yaaaaaas!
can't undersstand shit.....cool
It's in China. It's not a theme park in America. A bit obvious that English won't be its' core language.

Welcome to Beijng and have a try!

I think the figures are the most impressive parts, the set is just screens and cut-outs
