I thought I wanted the Bravia 9 until I had them side by side. B9 is the clear winner in a few areas but by slim margins imo. I ultimately went with the B7 and a new sound bar and still spent less than I would have for the B9. I went with the 75" and I do want to say, the "bad viewing angles" comments are severely overblown. This thing is amazing. I'm actually starting to think I should have shelled out for the 85" lol.
Disclaimer I shopped all of these TVs, fell in love with the A95L and the Bravia 9, but ended up buying a 75" X90L for.. $749, which was just too ridiculous of a deal to pass up, and after a month with it, I'm glad I did. The Bravia 7 is a great TV but you're badly underestimating the X90L. The gap there is small (full array vs mini LED). You still get 120 Hz and the XR processor (which is what you really want). I also think the X90L is already plenty bright. You can get some amazing deals on the X90L too if you shop around. That said, the Bravia 7 is the sweet spot for price / performance if you cannot find an X90Lmdeal like I did. It's also being discounted pretty well now. You are right about the A95L - it's also a carryover but it's amazing. The sticker shock though. It's too much. Get a Bravia 7 or 9 instead. The viewing angle criticism is way overblown unless you are in a really wide room.

I believe the price was $1599 vs $1799 respectively for the 75" when I bought mine. I just decided to go with the B7 because the image was noticeably better for me. If the X90L would have been $749 when I made the purchase then that would have been a different story tho.

I bought an 83 A80L instead of one of the 77 inch oleds. I did not want to pay full price for the A95L. The 83 A80L can brighten a completely dark room and it can still flashbang you going from really dark content to white content. I can't really imagine wanting something brighter in a dark room.
the seven was always a better buy over the 9, I think the technology bump wasn't worth the cost at least not yet, sadly my Bravia 7 65 had a few issues so I decided to take a discount that I received on that item and go with Bravia 8 55.
I bought my first OLED last week coming from a 50 inch 60 Hz QLED to the 55 inch Bravia 8 OLED WOW what a difference, I’m a gamer and put it in my game room for my consoles, what a difference 120 Hz OLED makes. Cons with using it with my soundbar using Digital Audio Out, I need both the HDMI 2.1 ports for my Consoles, PlayStation 5 Pro, everything works amazing. Xbox series X, as a huge sound lag, not in sync with games I’m playing like shooters…why didn’t Sony put the ARC on a separate port and leave the 2 2.1 ports alone? I have been through the TV settings and console settings and cannot get it to calibrate correctly without the audio lag.
I am going for the B7. Waiting to see if the price drops a bit next week I know an LG C4 would be around the same price, but I simply don't want OLED as It doesn't match my family needs
I was considering the LG C4 too and ultimately bought the B7 last week. You can't go wrong with it imo. I was also debating on the Panasonic W95 (yes they are back!) but didn't want to order it from Amazon and nobody carried it. The Panasonic is almost identical to the B7 in just about every regard and it's $100 cheaper.
KG, I learned about reality creation on the Bravia sets from your channel. And as one of the few (if not only) that has shown and delved into that feature, I wonder now that you own a PS5 Pro how the pssr compares to reality creation. It would be interesting to hear of your thoughts, I understand how different they may approach boosting that resolution but by how much of a difference?
Do you actually watch movies and game or is this just TV show watching TV because if its for shows literally any qled tv would be fine you don't have to waste money on a high end tv

I had same dilemma last week as I was offered same price for both (had few issues with previous purchases so Best Buy gave me extra discount). I went with A95L. I am watching the tv from 9 ft distance, and although 77” almost makes you forget how great 65” a95l is, I still went with quality over quantity. Now if I was sitting a lot further away or if this wasn’t for our living room, who knows, I may would have picked up Bravia 8. But I am extremely happy with my purchase. Best TV I ever owned. Just treat yourself with something you know it will be amazing and it is consider to be best TV. I don’t play video games often, so I am not bothered with some shortcomings of this tv such 144 hz and only 2 vs 4 hdmi 2.1. Cheers

Thanks! I would say if you upgrade from that TV at least go QD OLED so you don’t feel color brightness loss when gaming. I play sports games and watch sports I never had an issue with burn in with any of my long term TVs.
Don’t go from a qn90a to a c4, won’t get much benefit and the dimness of the oled might make you feel it’s a down grade, if I was you wouldn’t get anything now, 2025 is less than two months away waited it out and get a 2025 tv maybe one of them qd oled from Samsung

I have a A80j Sony oled in my bedroom and the brightness is lacking in my dark bedroom but sometimes I’m amazed of the deep blacks and contrast. The most important factor when choosing a tv is use case/viewing conditions, where you gonna put the tv? If it’s bright living get miniled or the brightest qd oled like the Samsung s95D it is bright enough for a bright living room like miniled.
Been waiting for a 75" B9 price drop. It doesn't seem to be budging. I thought once word got out the B7 and B9 aren't that far apart in PQ, Sony would have agreed that the B9 is overpriced and did something about it. Doesn't look like it.

@ I'm cursed. I have a protruding wall that fits a 75" television exactly. And as you know, OLEDs (for some reason) skip 75" and hit you with 77" which would poke out the sides. (sigh)
Not with contrast in mind, brightness yes, color yes, but you will lose the contrast advantages which most viewers say is what matters most in picture quality, your best bet coming from a W OLED is to jump to a QD OLED.

Struggling between the B7 and the Panasonic w95a, idc what Rtings said. The two look really close on Caleb’s review, and it looks really good on Brian’s review too. I already own the Theater Quad’s and love Center Sync 2, just hard to justify that $400 dollar difference between the two.
I tried both, Panasonic might be slightly more pleasant but you have to put up with the crappy fire tv remote and interface. I much prefer the classy Sony remote and Google TV.
I use Apple TV, so I could care less ab the interface. I think they’re mostly equal, with Sony getting the edge on processing, but only slightly. I might just get w95a and not look back.

Bravia3 65" is a VA Panel with native contrast of nearly 4000:1. Most of the time you won't be able to tell a difference between Bravia3 vs Bravia7 in a Dark room playing 4K HDR Content. The only problem with Bravia3 or 7 or any SONY TV for that matter is DSE - DIRTY SCREEN EFFECT Grey Screen Uniformity - Sony's the Worst in it - and it's Unacceptable from Sony‼

Bravia 8 does not have smooth gradation processing.it lacks the co processor for the xr processor.it is kinda downgrade in the processing.
