    Happy with our BRAVIA 65in X95L. Especially as i managed to grab one with the aid of a hefty near-£1,000- off original MSRP. Even more so once i had it pro. calibrated.
    Personally speaking. If i was in the market for a(nother) new TV i’d wait for discounts around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, or over the Xmas/New Year period.
    If you haven’t done so already, be interested to see a more comprehensive comparison between the X95L & BRAVIA 9(?)
    Really enjoyed your unboxing & short, introductory review of the BRAVIA 9 guys. Especially the titillating little double entendres & innuendo. 😳🤭

    Finally saw the Bravia 9 in person. Quite shocked how deep the blacks are and almost OLED like and can even be mistaken for one. But one side by side next to the Bravia 8 and even the A95L, you can notice the slight haze feel to it immediately next to the OLEDs.
    If you’re not getting an OLED. This is the TV to get. If OLED is not a problem for your viewing conditions and budget, OLED is better and QD-OLED is still best.

    I'm kinda stuck sitting here trying to decide between this or the XR A95L for the setup I'm going for in my room. Kinda leaning towards the Bravia 9 because it's going to be running off a PC for general use, gaming, and movies/series. Kind of an all in one build and only need one input unless I decide to add a console or something down the road. I still have my concerns with OLED and PC's because of static images, UI elements, and such potentially causing burn in.
    I've still got a fair bit of time to decide though, as I'll be building out a new PC later on this year to run 4k 120Hz in games and such. (certainly wish Sony would support 144hz..)

    With Sony TVs there might be a break in period involved after which TV performance gets a boost. It's something Vincent Teoh alluded to for the OLEDs and I don't know if it applies to the mini-LEDs as well but here's my experience.
    When I got my 85" X95k last year, for the first month I kept on messing with picture settings because TV just didn't look bright enough to me but after a month I had to tone down all the settings a bit because all of a sudden it was brighter and I couldn't watch it continuously at max brightness.

    Please help make the final decision on what to buy, an OLED TV or Mini LED. No matter what I do I can not take out from my head the idea about the potential pixel-burning issue of OLED technology. To make it easier for you to understand I can say that members of my family and I do not watch any channels at all, we only use our TV for movies at late night, we do not turn on our TV during the day time I mean completely we do not turn on and also we do not play any games at all, no Xbox no PlayStation. So based on my description what do you think, should I be worried about pixel burning? or no matter what to be safe I need to forget about OLED and buy Mini LED?

      - get the biggest possible screen, maybe but last or 2 years tech as bigger screens will be much cheaper that this year tech.
      - invest in Sony's quad home theater speakers.
      If you would watch lots of News channels, during the day with plenty of windows and play videogames like me - get Mini LED.

    I had to see it in person at Best buy and it is amazing though the a95l and the bravia 8 (OLED) were better overall imo. I'd still get the 9 for it's size and outstanding performance and it's still cheaper than OLED(damn you so expensive)😆. My 85x90L hanging in there though next to all of the latest Sony's and it's only $2000! Really says something about Sony's processing because it's not even a mini led but a simple full array. Most of my content looks great. Blooming or smearing isn't a problem at all for me in dark scenes where TCL and Hisense still struggles badly as well as upscaling.
    Until streaming services get better with upscaling and compression issues it's almost useless to spend a crazy amount of money though unless you only game or watch physical media.
    That said, Sony won't be able to get away with their stupid prices for long as TCL and Hisense are ridiculously cheaper and are catching up to the quality.

      @@EKFiPod Yeah a 2k 98 might not look so good.. The 24 QM8 doesn't look washed out at all in person.. also gets good reviews by the big reviewers.. Even on this channel.. So it's a tough choice..

      The B9. I returned the 98 because the B9 is just so much better. When you compare the HDR performance, or the upscaling you realize how much better Sony is because they cut absolutely no corners on it. The size wasn't worth it to me, maybe it is to you? (that's subjective).

    Best Miniled Tv ever made, this reminds me of when sony made the Z9d to this day it still holds its own against the top tvs on the market.

    • @LazyCrazyGuy
      @LazyCrazyGuy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I still have a 75Z9D and it does not hold its own anymore against the best TVs on the market. It can still compete with mid range TV's but not an 85X95L, B9, A95L, S95D, G4, etc. The Z9D best days are behind it now.

    • @vcam-g9h
      @vcam-g9h 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you actually own the tv or you are just making things up, Sony could not even beat their own z9d until the x95L last year. I was about to upgrade when I heard about the bravia 9 and decided to hold off, its the better tv but it does not blow the z9d away it still holds up, maybe if you actually had the tv you would see what I am talknig about.

    • @LazyCrazyGuy
      @LazyCrazyGuy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vcam-g9h I have the 75Z9D and the 85X95L. It completely runs circles around the 75Z9D in every category. From color gamut to color volume, motion, picture processing and upscaling, better blacks with better shadow detail and way less blooming. To me it's not comparable at all, I've watched all my favorite movies and shows. It's like seeing them for the first time all over again. So many details that weren't visible on the 75Z9D are visible on the 85X95L. There's no reason for me to lie, the Z9D is still a great set but it's not competing with the best sets of today. It's still way better than low range sets and competes with mid range sets but Sony is constantly improving their picture quality and it shows big time. The Bravia 9 is another major milestone in that leap forward.

      @@BTheInstaller Yes I will look at their feedback on the TVs. I just can't get both TVs into a room to judge myself. I'm looking pretty much straight on from 9 ft away. If I'm going to see blooming with any sort of regularity I would just get the G4 but if booming really isn't there to be seen I'm open to the Bravia 9 and gaining 2 in of diagonal screen size.

    Have had the 83" LG C4 for close to a month. I chose this over TCL 98" mini led (all 3 2024 versions), the Bravia 9, and others. Picture quality and being able to see the screen at any position won out over all others. I came from a 100" projection setup and did not want to deal with setting up a projection system again. Wish the 97" OLED was finally cheaper after all these years. but oh well. Keep waiting.

    I thought the review was just average. I think comparisons to OLED are OK, but when you are a professed OLED lover, all aspects become biased. And you never brought up that even though you liked the Sony A95L better, you did not mention that the 77 inch version is still about 1000 more than the 85 inch Bravia 9, and if you did, you would have pointed out the great value of the Bravia 9 over the A95L. You made the down comparison to the not so great U8. Comparing to large TV's and projectors was not really needed nor did it make any sense to me. Then bringing up blooming and a little washout 45 degrees off center was also like, duh, no kidding. most led's will do that. In real use, almost all user reviews say the off angle is very good. Now cost. it is a flagship. He even has a flagship in his room, a 77 A95L that cost a lot more money. I am sorry, but talk about saving money by buying a U8, is poor and not even in the same class or league. Most people know some TV pricing before you did this unboxing. Basically, compare the fantastic Bravia 9 to a TV with colors off, poor motion handling, and quirky with all sorts of issues, even less reliability, is just plain off and not needed. Then you bring up a large area projection TV? Where the Heck did that come from? And why? If you want to compare 100 inches on up, should that not be a separate video? Then in that video, there is a huge difference in LED TV's and projectors. Then in that video, would you place the 77 inch A95L and say the picture is better? No. But you did just that in this video. I admit, I like some of your videos in 2022 and 2023, but this one was way off to me. You obviously admit you like it, and it is the best LED, but you go out of your way almost to make people go for the U8 or the A95L. A little weird.

    I'm so glad TV reviewers don't review cars, I can just imagine them saying something like: "Sure, you could buy this Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid... but why don't you get a Hyundai Venue instead? I mean they are both SUVs after all". Which of course, is utterly missing the point.

    This guy really doesn't do "objective" reviews if anybody has ever really noticed. He sounds more like an advertising ad for the TV manufacturers.....and we know you're not being harsh or critical on the TV manufacturers because you're scared of losing sponsorships or relationships with the TV manufacturers. People want OBJECTIVE TV reviews.......and your reviews are hardly that.......but we all appreciate your videos (weird).
