@@alovekok9044 In the first case of the first Ace Attorney game, a small statue of "The Thinker" was the murder weapon and the main object of the case. While in the first case of the first Danganronpa game, the victim wrote the killer's name, but they wrote it backwards, and the entire case everyone thought it was "11037" when it was just "Leon" backwards, which became a bit of a meme.

Honestly Makoto has one of most interesting arcs the series imo
Oddly enough Makoto is physically stronger than Wright. He also has more impressive durability to scale to and is even luckier than him and Wright's intelligence advantage has basically 0 combat applicability so in actual fight he's dead to _Wrights_
I don't know why some bummy teen is superhuman to this level but I can't really deny it.
In a debate Wright solos, but I have a feeling AA fans aren't lucky enough to get a vs show about debates instead of fights.

@@gaspenpayne6755 Makoto has survived some inhuman feast aswell (Like him falling head first down a garbage chute with the weight of a desk & chair on him th-cam.com/video/WQtgeNIU0G8/w-d-xo.html) combine that with Makoto's luck. It makes him much harder to hit. If someone tries to smack Makoto in the head with a weapon he slips out of the way. If someone does that to Phoenix he loses his memory.
If you introduce scaling then stuff gets even more crazy on the physical end, but the bottom line is there's more than one way to be durable, and Makoto's got two ways, and Wright has one.

@@JamisonWormley Phoenix has Global (trial) feats from AA 4-6 and trilogy Phoenix is already enough for the win. ULS hax won't work on Phoenix since he is already lucky himself and matched wits with Pr. Cosmos, who has the same luck level as Makoto, and UH hax wouldn't be that effective since Phoenix faced the courtroom against him being bought up by a billionaire and faced head to head with the entire police force, prosecutors with decades of win streaks, and criminals like Kristoph Gavin, Dahlia Hawthorne, The Spy, and Queen Garan who are much smarter than Junko or even Kyoko. Plus the Magatama hax reveals every secret in Makotos heart and Phoenix can use his MASON system to access both timelines and evidence at the same time.
About his feats, he revolutionized the entire courtroom using the Mason program in AA4 (Global), he took down The Spy and ended the Dark age of Law with help in AA5 (continental), and played a major role in Kurainese revolution in AA6 (country).
The thing here is where Makoto struggles to crack 11037, Phoenix manages to successfully crack a 15 year old case (DL6) against a prosecutor with 40 years of win streak under just a few hours with a mere experience of months only, and he doesn't even have a Magatama or a MASON system.
Even if Makoto scales to Kyoko Kirigiri's intelligence, Phoenix stomps in basically everything.

The beginning also sounds a bit like the Mortal Kombat theme.

Makoto would get sharedded in a debate but if these two had 0 help (which they both often get) Makoto would probably win. He's just too lucky in comparison.
While phoenix actually got a magatama on his hand, and his cases was far more hardcore than most of every danganronpa chapters cases, let alone first chapter cases which makoto solved.
"He's just too lucky" He's also too unlucky. His actual good luck only kicks in during life threatening situations. Like his execution.
The battle of experience vs luck, sounds fun
I did NOT EXPECT this as a score but as I said before, I don't mind this matchup but I still prefer Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton
One more thing, I feel like Wright is getting requested for DB more recently
PW vs Layton feels redundant to me. That topic has been done way more, they had an actual crossover already, and it is a bit less thematic.

Besides PW vs PL makes sense to me:
-Both are intelligent strategists that solved challenging mysteries
-Both are finger pointers
-Both had their og assistant (Maya and Luke) and many more in the future
-Both adopted daughters at a young age (Trucy and Katrielle)
In my opinion, this matchup seems more fitting
@@starmaneli7711 those matchups you have mentioned have had official crossovers, but they were obviously not going to fight anyone else, given their connections and notoriety. Different is PW vs Naegi is a valid option, and isn't a topic that is as done to death.
Only one of those connections is something that Phoenix vs Naegi doesn't have, being the daughter part, but that's not a very thematic connection to begin with. Ace Attorney and the Danganronpa games have far more parallels than the Layton games, as they have a more similar premise and level structure. They both debate in courts and turn cases around, despite everyone being initially against one person who they believe to be the murderer and culprit. They have both dealt with international crisises, and have also dealt with assassins and kidnappings.

How would this fight even work
Both are put in a Danganronpa style case where they’re given a set of evidence and have try to prove the other guilty of a murder. The most convincing case gets killed by Monokuma.

Makoto Naegi wins this. In a class trial, people's voice gets the most taken seriously instead of answers since influence matter which is what Naegi has. Makoto is the ultimate hope whose power comes from using his influencing power to change the class trials even the final trial in his favor. Where as Phoenix's experience comes from a court system that we all know but with the japanese judicial system with the rules and proceedings. The thing is, Wright doesn't carry around physical evidence unlike Makoto and he often gets laughed a lot by the gallery. Plus Makoto is also the ultimate lucky student which was shown throughout the plot it saves him from dangerous situations like execution and multi car crash attack. He can even give opponents bad luck which makes Phoenix forget a fatal evidence. And it cannot be analyzed by Junko whose power is to analyze what she experiences. Makoto's adjusted to class trials, ultimate luck, and ultimate hope are enough to defeat Phoenix. Makoto FRA

I LOL’d hard at that. Phoenix’s cases are a lot more difficult than Makoto’s. Phoenix literally works in a system which is biased against him. He goes up against prosecutors who have a lot more power than him.
Compare that to Naegi’s trials where everyone starts out with equal influence, and you can easily see that Phoenix is way superior.
Also, how can you say that Phoenix has more help when Kirigiri basically holds Naegi’s hand and walks him through all his trials. Whereas all the help Phoenix has (Mia and Maya) only help at critical moments.
And one last thing! If this DOES take place in a class trial, more power to Phoenix. It's more fair, meaning that he doesnt have to deal with as much rigged bullshit from his opponents.

This is still a fight and Wright needs someway to actually beat Makoto.
Like I said it'll be a mental battle between the two, a battle of the minds between the two, so nothing you said objectively matters. What matters is experience, skill, and how well they handle pressure and Sorry, but Phoenix takes all three of the big ones. Experience is obvious, Phoenix outsmarted and outwitted a 40yr undefeated veteran as opposed to makoto who defeated Junko ONLY because he told everyone to have hope. In other words Junko basically won and dominated the whole trial until makoto pulled a deus x machina so skill most definitely goes to Phoenix. I fell like mental fortitude is also obvious but just in case, even whenever things are bleak and seemingly hopeless for Phoenix he doesn't give up, he always pushes forward for the truth even in the event where he's being accused or someone close to him is in grave danger, he doesn't quit until there's nowhere left to go, makoto however just breaks down and losses his shit at just the mere implication that he's being accused. Also makotos luck is really as reliable as Phoenix (not like is should be the reason he wins seeing as how Phoenix takes all the major advantages) since we know it works in cycles as opposed to Phoenix who's just always lucky 99% of the time
So sorry but while makoto does stomp in a standard fight, we all know for a fight this won't be a standard fight, it'll be a battle of the minds where Phoenix just stomps so badly that I'm honestly not sure if there's any scenario where makoto beats Phoenix in a debate

Not quite Phoenix has dealt with far greater challenges than class trials and his experience as a lawyer completely overshadows your time in hopes peak and Phoenix has beaten and outsmarted more people just as intelligent and powerful as Junko.
You may be Ultimate Hope and you would put up a fight that would make your classmates proud but you wouldn't have enough to beat the intelligence, arsenal, and experience of the Ace Attorney
