Very refreshing that you cover models that commoners will actually use instead of focusing on the most expensivest flagship models. Very well made and edited video, I subscribed!
These kind of bikes are also what you see all over Mexico and the rest of Latin America, but the Indian ones are probably made better. I’d love to get cheap options like this in the US market. There are very few new motorcycles below $3000 that aren’t Chinese. We get this engine in the Honda Grom and a couple other models that are around $4000. I hope Hero eventually makes it to the US market as we already have Royal Enfield, TVS (BMW) and Bajaj (KTM). I’d rather have more cheap Indian made motorcycles than Chinese.
Exactly. This bike would sell in record numbers here in the USA. India is missing a huge market in the USA. A shame we cannot get the word to the proper people.
Everyone should have one of these. That's only about $870 US dollars (and, if I have this right, about 140mpg)! And it'll outlast its owner... He's right. This is freedom for millions of people, right here. Almost the perfect consumer product. Thanks, great review.
My first bike ever was a Hero Honda 100cc back in 2002! it was a great bike to learn. This one is the modern version, but I loved it for it's simplicity and reliability.
A lot of freedom for a small amount of money. Even if you have a car, this is still great to have. If you only ride this during summer and when there is no rain or cold, this would still benefit you. Look at the price and you will realise that your car will probably lose more money in value in one year than the price of this bike. Now this might not be for everyone, but if you are in a tight spot or you want to save money then this is the way to go. The thing that kills these bikes is not servicing them. They are cheap to service and if you keep up with the services, these will last a very long time. Thank you for doing these reviews. Not everyone can afford a new Fireblade or a GS, but these are so cheap that even if the engine dies, you can still replace it for cheap.
I had an 08' Honda CBR125R. My best tank was 1.9L/100km (70-80kph steady on a rural road). Super fun, light weight bike that could be pushed to do 110kph with my heafty 240lb ass on it. (80-90kph all day with ease) CBR was better looking, had front and rear disc brakes, a fuel injected 125 cc engine with a whopping 13+ hp. A proper 6 speed transmission. The 08 model year was a svelt 280LBs wet.
Great as an urban utility run-about or a farm bike. Better handling than a similarly priced scooter and cheaper than many e-bikes. I'd be willing to pay a little more for a front disc brake.
It may surprise some people but there is a huge market for this type of motorcycle in the USA. Honda currently sells a number of 110, 125, and 150cc motorcycles in the USA with great success. Some models have a waiting list at most dealers. The thing is younger American riders are looking for affordable fuel- efficient motorcycles and this bike would sell well here. The Chinese sell many small displacement bikes here through online dealers and even E Bay and Amazon sell them. I have been curious as to why India does not consider the American market. That belief that Americans only ride large displacement bikes is long gone with today's younger riders.
I can vouch for the 60kmpl-70kmpl figure. My father owns an older generation model of the same bike and it returns about 60kmpl. I learnt how to ride on this bike back when I was in my teens. In my opinion the front brake used to feel very wooden, therefore I always relied on the back brake which was very good. Cant say how it is on this new model...pretty sure they haven't changed much.
Sounds good ... for the money. I bought my granddaughter a SYM 125 K - cost R16000 new. Now done 6000km fault free! Does average 48 - 52 km/l - has "normal" 5 spd gearbox and is very satisfied between 75km/h to 85km/h on the open road. I very much doubt the 100 km/h mentioned for the Hero 100cc... Maybe on the speedo WOT??
got a bike show notification and all excited to watch I was greeted by the most important turd of the motorcycling world,I acknowledge that it's heritage is special but damn Don,I needed fun-like knee down or can it wheelie or get the race track test group out and a bunch of these and do some fun racing etc?and yes 40km per litre is pretty good given the circumstances.
LoL 8hp from a 97cc carburetted engine pirated from honda. Meanwhile Kawasaki can only muster 9.4hp from a 125cc programmable fuel injected engine and charge 3 times as much. I'm talking about the z125pro. Embarrassing.
3x price is justified as 1. Kawasaki is being sold to European market that can stretch the budget. 2. Look at the cycle parts / components such as plastic panels , tank covers, alloy wheels , LED lights , USD suspension , disc brakes , mono shock etc 3. The target audience for Hero is people in developing countries looking for cheap way to travel where as target audience for Kawasaki is people in developed countries looking for recreational riding (a toy )
Honda and hero hade joint venture , after they Brockup they made deal that honda have all dealership network while hero get engineering division with ip devloped through thier joint venture . Hero now devloped new engine it is completely different from honda wich come under thier second most selling bike pasion pro .

I have a Bajaj boxer AR of 18yrs old motorcycle which still returning 70km/ltr and my hayabusa is giving 7km/ltr. What a nice contrast.
This is a huge branch of motorcycling: the practical, reliable, cheap, commuter. Respect to that segment of our vast motorcycling world. Cheers!

Holy sh!t, that bad boy is the eco deluxe model, with power start 🤩
Well, I learned today... Well done guys. This will indeed sell like hot cake over here in South Africa.
The ideal bike for a 10 mile each way commute.
It sales like hot cakes in India.. greetings from India

Hero Honda cd 100.. I still maintain it like a new one and it still works great!!
Very interesting. Makes a nice change from the usual bike press output.
I just got mine today 😅... will give feedback after a week.
I rode a Hero Honda when I was working in India. Not bad for what they are. I've seen them loaded up too.

How would I get one in America mid west ?
I don't think they would sell this in the US...here in India Food delivery guys and village people buy these and easily get over 58-65 km/litre.

I wish we had these in Sweden :(((((

Don's blue underwear at 4:10' huehue

Love small bikes. I have 3 honda 'cubs' and love riding each one. They are simply 'fun'. Huge grin factor.
👍

No it's real you can ride 120 km/h if you familiar with this bike .
is is manuel or auto?
$862? I’ll take two! So it’s like what $500 in its home market?
800$ including all taxes
Hahahah you guys haven't seen the splendour yet
love from India 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Where is this available in South Africa?
Chatsworth
You said you don't have to change brake pads but sooner or later you're going to have to change that drum brake pad 😬🥶
After the first service it will give 70 kmpl normally
Was that a Sunday? Sooo quiet.
Lol. It gives 75+ kmpl in here, India
This bike gives 75+ km milage economy speed
i wonder how many UK winters they could handle?
20 yrs
These things are daily horses from indian himalayan states to coastal states.
They will do just find in uk too
You want like 60kmpl? Ride it under 50 kmph. See the magic.
So glad we do not measure fuel economy this way. But instead, we do miles per gallon.
Excellent little review👍👍
Wishing for Hero motorcycles sold in the Philippines.
I love hero my Indian brand ❤️.
It's a work horse for the common people in India.
got a bike show notification and all excited to watch I was greeted by the most important turd of the motorcycling world,I acknowledge that it's heritage is special but damn Don,I needed fun-like knee down or can it wheelie or get the race track test group out and a bunch of these and do some fun racing etc?and yes 40km per litre is pretty good given the circumstances.
First 2000 km time bike give 40 to 50 kmpl average . Later it gradually increase to 80 kmpl .
That's £674 sterling. It's a shame our teenagers are forced to pay thousands here in the UK
In Sweden too, its super pricy.... even more than UK
First splendor plus next , hf deluxe are high sales in India
Where is it bought for 13k, I see it for 18k
This question is one year late broski ^^
Wth is this bike mate?? Does it have disc brake
That's £675 in the UK, bet dealers gobble up difference between that and cheapest Chinese bikes so it will sell then for £1,999!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol my first bike
The price of this bike and fuel consumption with fuel going up these bikes will be had by every one they will be quite common on the roads
40km/liter is indeed bad.. in the philippines, there is an underbonne motorcycle at 90km/liter
70-75km per litre
Easily
50km constant speed
it gives 70 kmph in india.
This gives 70+ kilometres/litre. Idk how you got 40! Maybe you did not set the fuel key to ON.
That looks like it just arrived from the '70s. I'll pass on that one.
I think you miss the point of this product.
Oh gawd, it's the old Honda CG1xx.
4 speed cmon
should be at least a five speeder
it ss not a fucking moped / underbone
You forget hero splendor plus... cult made by hero moto corp.
This is not a Honda.......

there are som aspects of emissions that quench power from engines. they dont really care in the far east.
Pirated ? Ever heard about technology transfer ? Hero-Honda was a joint venture up until 2009
different horses for different courses
