My dad bought our i10, nearly 11 years back now ( 1.2 L petrol Sportz model ). It's hands down one the best cars we have owned. The fit and finish, the quality of interior, the quality of gearbox is still better than most new Marutis. It truly was the first car that set apart Hyundai from the clutter in our market.
I totally agree, i too have the same Sportz trim (and approx same age too). The build quality and fit-finish is miles ahead than our costlier Ritz. Despite using it harshly too, it's holding up quite well .
Even my parents bought that, but then we bought an Hyundai xcent, but now we're selling the i10 and buying an xuv 500 w9 automatic. Man had lots of memories on the 9 years of having the i10 😊😊
I too own a 2009 1.2 L kappa sportz trim. Everything from gearbox to fit and finish and interior are still excellent. Runs on all 84 horses and boy does it run.

I owned the 2nd gen of this i10 which also was my first car & I really loved it. It was the 1.2 liter engine & the engine was sooooo smooth. Less vibes no engine sound inside the cabin. The surprising part was sunroof for this car at tht time was the first in its segment. I had the sportz variant. The part I hated was no steering feedback in higher speeds & it was kinda scary trust me
Didn't they remove the sunroof with the facelift (first gen).
I also have the 2nd gen i10 (also as my first car lol) and I kinda think the steering is actually heavy enough. On highways I don't really feel scared when cornering in it lol it has decent feedback imo. I test drove the Rapid a few days ago and I found that steering super light (probably because I've never driven a car with an electronic steering lol).
@@22b_gc8 am not sooo sure if the first gen, the model in the video, had a sunroof. But I know for sure 2nd gen had it coz when I took delivery there was another customer getting his i10 with sunroof asta model delivered. I wanted with sunroof but they told the last car was sold & no stocks, would have to wait. So I dropped the plan
@@naveen1386 First gen i10s and i20s had because I still have the booklet for the 2008 i10 and it clearly shows the Asta variant featuring it.

@@WycliffStudios hey dude i10 2011 model is amazing for second hand and almost has cons but for new features in the budget of 4 to 6 lakhs u can go to grand i10 2017 sports model it's very nice and I'm a owner of it... Gives 20km mileage awesome features.... Grinded it to 165 goes smoothly .... No car shaking and stuff

Our first car, bought it way back in 2008 (Magna model).Love it so much that still maintained it in pristine condition & continue to use it as a daily driver even though we have a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz now too. I Just love the ageless, classic design language of this car , nice swept back headlamps.This is no doubt one of the best designs of Hyundai till date.The engine main highlight of this car. It's very punchy,peppy & doesn't feel like a small car . It can put. Aloft of big cars to shame in acceleration.Love my i10 & gonna keep it as long as situation permits ❤️

U can't belive in 2022 I made the trip to Leh and ladakh with i10 it was sudden but this car doesn't left me suffering in any condition whether it's watercrossing , bad roads , those high bumps , deep pots

I have i10 kappa 1.2 liter engine, 2010 model with 89ps power. It's still grt. I believe u need to drive this model
from the fist i10 to the latest nios all the i10s have been great and also served the purpose really well
The 1.2l engine had 82 horse power and 114 nm of torque and we own that model
Used 1.2L kappa... Amazing car.. Such a refined engine and good performance... Also it's interiors were top notch super silent cabin.. Built wise it was better than it's competition... Be it interior or exterior

The 1.2L Era 2008 model was our first car and we have travelled to a lot of places( especially in Himachal) and let me tell you the ride quality is good. I still drive it to my workplace approx 20kms and still it feels astoundingly amazing to drive.

Does the door automatically lock in this 1st gen model when the car keys are put into ignition mode or the car is started? I know the when the engine turns off the door unlocks. But not sure the other way.

I owned the car for 7 years, pick up is quite good, ideal for city. Only downside is stiff suspension and the milage which is low compared to many other cars

I have the Hyundai i10 sportz all the way back from 2011,still works the best to this day, hasn't broken down since we first bought it, only had minor servicing, we are selling it because we are currently buying the Hyundai venue. Hyundai really set the benchmark with this legend, such an iconic car.
Why are you buying venue over i20? The rear seats are more comfortable for 3 people in i20.
