My dad bought our i10, nearly 11 years back now ( 1.2 L petrol Sportz model ). It's hands down one the best cars we have owned. The fit and finish, the quality of interior, the quality of gearbox is still better than most new Marutis. It truly was the first car that set apart Hyundai from the clutter in our market.
I totally agree, i too have the same Sportz trim (and approx same age too). The build quality and fit-finish is miles ahead than our costlier Ritz. Despite using it harshly too, it's holding up quite well .
Even my parents bought that, but then we bought an Hyundai xcent, but now we're selling the i10 and buying an xuv 500 w9 automatic. Man had lots of memories on the 9 years of having the i10 😊😊
I too own a 2009 1.2 L kappa sportz trim. Everything from gearbox to fit and finish and interior are still excellent. Runs on all 84 horses and boy does it run.

I owned the 2nd gen of this i10 which also was my first car & I really loved it. It was the 1.2 liter engine & the engine was sooooo smooth. Less vibes no engine sound inside the cabin. The surprising part was sunroof for this car at tht time was the first in its segment. I had the sportz variant. The part I hated was no steering feedback in higher speeds & it was kinda scary trust me
I also have the 2nd gen i10 (also as my first car lol) and I kinda think the steering is actually heavy enough. On highways I don't really feel scared when cornering in it lol it has decent feedback imo. I test drove the Rapid a few days ago and I found that steering super light (probably because I've never driven a car with an electronic steering lol).

But I know for sure 2nd gen had it coz when I took delivery there was another customer getting his i10 with sunroof asta model delivered. I wanted with sunroof but they told the last car was sold & no stocks, would have to wait. So I dropped the plan
Fun fact This car came with a factory fitted sunroof on the top Asta models, A FREAKING 4-SPEED TORQUE CONVERTER WHICH was a total pleasure not only back then but today also when compared to today's shitty AMT's And Bluetooth audio system with STEERING MOUNTED AUDIO CONTROLS. ALL OF THIS 12 years back!!!! I am a proud owner of a 2011 i10 sportz automatic 🔥❤️ Hyundai was really funky and innovative back then!❤️

The 1.2L Era 2008 model was our first car and we have travelled to a lot of places( especially in Himachal) and let me tell you the ride quality is good. I still drive it to my workplace approx 20kms and still it feels astoundingly amazing to drive.

Why are you buying venue over i20? The rear seats are more comfortable for 3 people in i20.
