    Can't wait to see more. I have a drone so this is like an underwater drone. Flying can be trick and I don't have to pull a cable along.

    Great footage from the Fifish, I think you’re very brave taking it down so deep, WW2 History Hunter also occasionally uses a Fifish and it looks tricky to control, I’m looking forward to more, love seeing this 👍

    Thanks for going ahead with the Underwater exploration it’s a big outlay & learning curve but it will pay off for you in the long term with experience etc as you go. Plus you can go where no one else has been of seen for a longggggggg time cheers

    So clear. But you guys really need to make the commentary live on the ROV’s bit . Thats what makes the other footage so compelling. Its the difference between feeling like being there and someone showing you their holiday photo’s ! 😳

    Water looks blue because the water molecules absorb the red end of the color spectrum of visible light. The absorption of light is due the way the atoms vibrate and absorb different wavelengths of light. This is different than the scattering of light that causes the sky to be blue.

    • @PibrochPonder
      @PibrochPonder 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s because the water is radioactive 😉

  • @IACooper
    @IACooper 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Well it's great to see the sheave wheel wasn't stolen, but a shame someone in the last 15/20 years or so decided to push it down the shaft from where it was sat leaning against the wall of the chamber. 😒 I seem to recall there weere remains of a barrow that have since gone missing as well - need to dig out my old photos.

    Another outstanding video! You would have a field day!! Here in Western / NW & SW Montana. Oh and central MT Along with Wyoming and Western South Dakota and NW / NE IDAHO Because all of these locales are, Loaded, literally loaded with so many deep deep under ground Gold / Silver / Palladium Mines……

    Hi lads fantastic video as usual ! The hardships the miners had to endure over the ages is incredible . The size of some of the spoil heaps alone outside of the mines is testament to the never ending toil they had to endure and early on with just tallow candles to illuminate the way .Bloody amazing and very interesting especialy some of the feats of mechanical engineering they did ! Keep the videos coming . PS the helmet torches you use , are they intrinsically safe ie for flammable atmospheres etc what are they rated for ? I do remember when you first got them but cant find the video . As i work in a possible flam atmosphere they look rather good on the lumen front . the one i have been issued for work is absolute pants . Thanks

    Is there a module for these that can pan behind the ROV? I feel it would be useful to check the specifics of cable tangles etc. Great videos. Currently self isolating here in sunny Wales after testing positive this morning. I spent many years caving and mine exploring in my younger days so loving watching these.

    Amazing footage, to think no-one has seen that level for over 100 years. Big thumbs up to your exploration work. Two questions, can you dive the shafts or pump out the water?

    • @IACooper
      @IACooper 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can be dived, the flooded stope just down the level from this shaft was dived by someone about 13 years or so ago - but they didn't dive the flooded shaft.

    • @waynebfr8953
      @waynebfr8953 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I reckon to much sediment would get stirred up if you dived in a shaft like this even at 20m trying to find your way around the timber etc would be hard

    I love this channel and it's content, until there's the ghost creepy stuff, it feels very infantilising.
