    Very cool. I wish more manufacturers sold frames separately in different colors and what not. I'm a CZ and Glock guy myself but I did buy a standard P320 when they first hit the market. Ya know, when they would still fire if dropped.

    I mean honestly when it comes to things like Glock or Sig their almost like PC computers these days or an AR as in there are so many different upgrades and configurations you can go with its not a bad idea to buy each of the individual parts you want and put your gun together that way. I just wonder how much more expensive you come out going this route?

      @aaronm4706 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Coolride17 I've never bought a complete AR for that reason. I'm going to change out a lot of the parts, so it's better to just build what I want from the ground up.

    Ok I see a lot of questions about this so here is my knowledge based on contacting a number of different sources about building these including Sig. The piece that is actually considered the “gun,” and holds the actual serial number is the FCU (fire control unit). That’s the gun....the rest, are modular kit variations and that’s a whole different topic. Something that you’ll have to understand though is that you cannot just go onto sigsauer‘s website and buy the FCU directly from Sigg. You have to find it at a license dealership and you must pick it up directly from that dealership in person while following the standard application process like with any other fully assembled gun. Once you have the FCU in your possession, then you can buy either an entire kit for the rest of the gun, or you can buy it piece by piece from third-party manufacturers, or directly from Sigs website. Sig does have a good selection of modules (uppers, lowers, mags, grip plates, etc.), and you can purchase those directly from sigsauer. Their website actually has a custom builder where you can see exactly what you’re building as you’re adding parts on the site. Good luck finding an FCU or any of the custom works pieces for that matter. They are almost non existent right now which sucks but hopefully they will release more to the dealerships soon.

    • @ChrisTopheRaz
      @ChrisTopheRaz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@insane4deadpool468 If you are looking to build one from the FCU, then I would search the Sig site for local sig dealers. That you can find in the P320 section if you click on any one of the 320 pistols. Put in your area code and it will find those dealerships. Call them and ask them if they have any FCUs. If not, ask them if they can order it from sig for you. I got my P320 AXG classic recently by doing that and it worked!

    Wow very cool video, I just found your channel recommended to me on TH-cam how awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone build a p320 from parr’s this is a really cool idea. I love how modular these are, it’s like an AR almost. Everyone builds custom glocks so it’s cool to see a sig build 😁. The only serialized part is the fcu I’ll have to see if I can find one of those on its own. Idk if this route will save any money but definitely cool that you can pick and choose what you want. Most local stores around here just carry a very limited stock and it’s always the standard medium frame which I don’t really like. The x carry frame is the best in my hands.

      The P10c is awesome. I've been carrying one for the last few months. If you buy make sure it does not have an ambi mag release. That would make it an early model and they had yet to work out the kinks (stiff mag release and stiff slide release). Honestly, I would guess that they pulled all of those early models anyway. The P10c is smooth as butter and has an excellent trigger along with excellent fit and finish.

      If you're building it to completely stock it's just as much, might as well just buy one. If you know you're going with a custom barrel and slide or whatever it will be cheaper to build and you won't have leftover parts. I always build as I know I'll just be replacing half the parts of a stock gun anyhow so why buy.

    Wait till that new 365 grip module comes out. That will diversify this gun a crazy amount being able to use 2 different type of magazine's. I own a p320 but always wanted something alittle smaller like the p365 and now that they are making the grip modules interchangeable i wont have to buy a p365. Sig has all the reasons to have fan boys compared to all other makers with the compatibility of the 320 and 365

    • @KeanonGilliamSlang369
      @KeanonGilliamSlang369 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Cristopher Angeles About the same, you still have to go through a FFL because of the serialized trigger module. Advantage is you can create your own. Other advantage is once you have the "original" trigger module, you can buy other modules, slides etc and use the same trigger module which will save you buying more firearms and dealing with the FFL.

    • @TheDougSpot
      @TheDougSpot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keanon Gilliam
      You could do that by buying the gun as a whole too though, so there’s really no advantage

    • @Highgear145
      @Highgear145  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The advantage of buying the parts vs buying the gun is getting the upgrades you want the first time and not having parts left over, if I had purchased a gun I would had an extra grip frame and an extra slide left over for sure because all P320s are shipped with the medium grip out of the box

    • @TheDougSpot
      @TheDougSpot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      T Ellison
      Sounds like a plus to me. Who wouldn’t want an extra grip frame and slide?
      To each his own though, you have your reasons

    • @KeanonGilliamSlang369
      @KeanonGilliamSlang369 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheDougSpot I was saying there is no real advantage like "you" said when buying new vs building from scratch. I was saying if you bought the gun first .... then buy modules, barrels, slides etc you save on buying multiple guns.

    Sell the parts that are collecting dust. I hate the fact if you want a different size grip frame you have to buy a whole different frame. With the Beretta APX modular handgun the grip frames come with 3 backstraps small medium and large.

  • @RabbleInArms

    I just got a sig FCU. I saw on Sig's website that you can get complete x-change kits that is basically the rest of the firearm in whatever cal you want. I like having the flexibility of fitting my FCU to a 9mm rig and then switching to 357 sig pretty easily. It'd be nice if they came out with an aluminum grip that would match the ss slide. Do you prefer the cut slides for any particular reason?

    Get a Trijicon RMR-06 type 2 and don't even worry about the factory iron sights. No need to co-witness. Over a 2 year continuous battery life, holds zero even after 10,000 rounds through the pistol. You will wear the barrel out long before ever wearing out the RMR. I used to think just like you did until I got the RMR from Trijicon. I find when using a quality RMR like Trijicon makes, the factory sights are just a distraction.
