I wouldn't mind if Capcom make Alice cannon, but just as a survivor or a drinking buddy of Jill, not a founding member of umbrella or something like that.
This movie series is actually a guilty pleasure to watch. My mom was very much into all of these movies and took me to watch them in theaters. Since The 5th Element is one of her favorite movies, so she tends to rope me into watching every action-based Milla Jovovich movie. ;^w^
Milla's RE movies were fun, I miss them. Her charisma and screen presence carried the commercially successful franchise. The RE movie reboot Welcome to Raccoon City flopped hard, was just plain boring and miscast. I hope Milla comes back as Alice.
First RE movie will always be iconic and an original masterpiece whether you do know the franchise or not. Only movie to stray a bit from the games and did it beautifully.
I'm more interested in Rain Ocampo, but still, this is a nice video. Another fact, Alice was initially meant to be a researcher but Milla wanted to do action, hence she was able to outshine Rain, Jill and Claire.
I hope Capcom added Alice as newest character in mainline RE series. Not as Bioweapon this time around but as a detective or a researcher or something in between that make Alice as the character that being around since the Winter's Saga (RE7 & RE8) ykwim.
Honestly I watched them all mostly cause I just couldn’t abandon it , cause Resident Evil ❤lmfao 😂but while watching that acid trip looking back on the “storyline” I swear the whole thing is a fever dream. That aside Sienna Guillory is literally Jill. She played the part.
AAAAA YESS FINALLY i am sorry but ppl shit on the movie franchise too much. It's literally better than the Netflix one and the reboot movie they tried. Sure it's it's own thing and it's not perfect but aren't RE 7 and VILLAGE their own thing too?
Im with you. People act like the franchise is some kind of sacred, complex, literary and audiovisual piece of art when, while well made, its just a B horror movie-esque entertaining videogame franchise with goofy characters, and the movies are horror themed B-movies. They do not resemble the games but are pretty entertaining. What always cracks me up is that most fans treat the animated movies like they are a excellent and much better than the live action ones when they are exactly the same( ridiculous stories, horrible cheesy dialog, over the top goofy action), the only difference is that the animated ones are set in the games canon universe and use the game characters.
You know what, I will earnestly disagree with you. My opinion is this: WTRC is the movie that we should have gotten in 2002, it ultimately fails at being a good adaptation but at least it pretends to try.
@@blakeharris58 WTRC some how feels like a Madame Web Situation (like if Sony didn't release a "spiderman movie" they will lose the rights to Spiderman Movie) So they make really cheap loose adaptation for the character. Which sadly are not (since I will forgive the film maker if that was the reason behind why the movie are so cheaply made), but the movie was in development for like 4 Years and they try to do too many things with the low budget they have (instead of just adapting RE0 or RE1)
These movies suck for tons of OBJECTIVE reasons, however… hear me out… SUBJECTIVELY… I fucking love them. The world and writing is so ludicrous and over the top but the characters are still so compelling that even though you aren’t immersed or believe the world building in the fucking slightest, you still care. Cuz Alice is sick, the franchise mainstay characters are sick, the monsters are sick. It’s like if the only goal in making a cinematic universe was the RULE OF COOL, and then was justified later.
As a separate vision of Resident Evil and its own Standalone franchise I thought it was okay but as a reenactment of the video game series it's trash. Paul w.s. Anderson did not do a good job with this one
I always loved alice as a character and how well mila portrayed her. The resident evil movies i would say is much better than those crappy new ones like welcome to raccoon city. Alice is freaking badass. I wish they make more of her
I actually love the movies but for a different reason reason the background the places they go just look a lot like resident evil they are enjoyable to watch if you don’t criticize it and just enjoy the watch
it's definitely a guilty watch for me because the first one was a good watch & i like how they ended the series of movies and i'm a fan of the fifth element so i love watching milla jovovich, but whoever played jill valentine is such a great casting for jill
Yeah that was a great April fools video Kai. I will admit I enjoyed the first three movies. The Netflix show I watched the first 10 mins and immediately turned it off. The reboot movie I wish I never saw it.
That alternative ending with the grenade that split into a bunch of rockets would have been far more iconic and Resident Evil than the actual ending of the movie. I mean, what does Alice with a shotgun alone in a devastated city promise? Nothing, that's what, but a sort of MIRV rocket grenade? That's the most Umbrella thing possible: _Needlessly complicated_
My personal head cannon about Alice's backstory is that after she was created umbrella put her in an orphanage in Columbus and that umbrella were responsible for her losing a job opportunity at the secret service, it kind of makes sense when you think about it.
I still feel like adding her into RAID mode would be a fun idea, slap in some movie themed levels and youre good to go, considering the direction the series went im a little surprised it never happened, for fucks sake they put the L4D2 squad in RE6 RAID mode
Did anyone even notice that in resident evil apocalypse they actually give the origin story for the t-virus but resident evil the final chapter they give a different origin story for the t-virus
I don't really like the movies going past Apocalypse. So much so, I consider the first two movies cannon to the game lore (more especifically the tie-in novels version). In my headcannon, both movie incidents take place in 2002-2003 California, following up the Raccoon City incident and right before the closure of the Umbrella trials. After that, Alice joins Chris and Jill to form the BSAA and only really comes back for the Marhawa Desire and Chris's RE6 campaign Dunno, just feels right to me. It builds this urban legend among Umbrella employees, like whispers of a outbreak in a not-so distant lab and city in a not-so distant past. It also ties in greatly with Jill being present in Apocalypse with her "I've already seen this" vibe, and provides some insights on the early BSAA operations
I liked these movies better than "welcome to raccoon city". They weren't horror but they were fun action romps lol a guilty pleasure of mine to be certain.
Alice was one of the last non Mary Sue female main protagonists unfortunately. These days it's astoundingly difficult for media to get it right like they used to 🤷

I never cared how close a movie is to the games. These movies are still a great fun watch and got me back into the RE games. Listening to commentary even the cast had fun.
My favorite RE character of all time. The best representarion of an RE character in live action. Every other live action character was straight up bad. Im glad they got her right.
April Fools 🤣OK, this was a good one. And WOW, the 1st Resident Evil movie will officially be regarded for having actors actually getting hit. I didn't know about the axe scene and the ending deleted scene.
The first Resident Evil film is a guilty pleasure. By itself, it's not terrible (not great - but not terrible)
I agree
I honestly enjoy it. Until she kicks the dog because ‘the matrix’.
It works with the main RE continuity, thats why its fine enough... But the other movies are dumpster fire.
Btw your content is great
The whole live action movie series is a guilty pleasure
The first two are worthwhile to me.
I wouldn't mind if Capcom make Alice cannon, but just as a survivor or a drinking buddy of Jill, not a founding member of umbrella or something like that.

Apparently, Leon's ex girlfriend from before RE2 was named Alice 😂
@@lukejones7164 Interesting 🤔
sienna guillory is my favourite in the film series as jill perfect casting to me. 👍🏻🇬🇧
I just wish we could have seen her in a STARS uniform.
Milla is a perfect casting for Alice.
I mean it was specifically made for her by her husband. Alice is not even in the games.
@@imnobody1395yup and they managed to make their own character and I really like Alice
as others said, there was no casting call - her husband was producer/director.
The intro is SOOOOOO iconic 😅

The novels were my favorite movie novelizations. ❤

Wow my mom did the same!
I find it hilarious that Mila is just just whooping real ass for no reason. Reminds me of Jean Claude.
Milla's RE movies were fun, I miss them. Her charisma and screen presence carried the commercially successful franchise. The RE movie reboot Welcome to Raccoon City flopped hard, was just plain boring and miscast. I hope Milla comes back as Alice.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm sad of the direction the movie franchise went. It could have been a cool "side story" of Umbrella without interfering with the game's story.

And Milla did all of the stunts by herself. Thats impressive, in my opinion.
Alice is a badass. The films are fun pop corn flicks so i don’g take them seriously.
