    We really like the choice of less conventional proportions for these paintings. Choosing an elongated, panoramic format or a square can help disrupt the viewer's expectations for representational art compared to standard, salon-size proportions, especially where landscape is the subject. We love watching this artist challenging herself!

      Love that this didn't go unnoticed! I think an interesting crop or unconventional format can elevate or transform a subject quickly. Thank you for joining again, to watch and to provide great paint 😁

    Love your beach scene..you can hear the water lapping and cement blocks look fab. Monet would be proud of your waterlillies 😊 ❤ Another inspiring video, Maria 👍🙏 blessings from Australia where I am loving the cold at the moment...our winters don't last long unfortunately and our summers are wicked! I would be a chip painting at the beach like that 😅

      Thank you, those cement blocks were surprisingly fun to paint! I wish monet could've given me some advice on those waterlillies, he was a pro.
      Enjoy the cool winter while you have it! I definitely burned outside that day 😩 I don't think I could survive an Australian summer!

    A great reflection how a summer can be , should be , need to be ... spend when idealizing but I think you made the perfect choice . The abstraction of the landscape painting looked great also the reflection in the water . Great subject choice for the two paintings on different times of the day , sometimes the "what to paint" is just to grab under our nose and we don't see it but you definitely see it ! 🍀

      Thank you! Painting is always a good choice of activity 😁😊 Glad you liked the two little pieces, that skylight window and roof was interesting to observe!

    Maria, you are such a joy to watch. I always get excited when I see your videos pop up in my feed because I know it will leave me inspired to enjoy and reflect on the beauty of everyday life. You always remind me that even when it feels boring or mundane, the here and now is all we have and to really relish it and live it to our best ability. Thank you for your videos ❤

    Hey, Maria
    I know you said that you don't really like painting landscapes...but I just wanted to say that in spite of that I find your landscapes so beautiful! I especially love your ocean scene, the composition you chose to paint for this painting. I'm used to seeing paintings of the ocean...making the viewer look straight at the sea...but I love your sideway view of the ocean, the rocks and the beach. It gives a different and interesting view.
    And I agree with you in regards to the sound of water! I can space out for a whole day just staring at a water source and listing to its sounds!

    • @mariasisul
      @mariasisul  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh thank you Irene! I love that sort of sideways look along the water front, definitely helps show the scale of the space for some reason.
      Being by water makes everything better for sure 🌊

      Agree fully, the coast is giving it context for the slightly sideways waves, like the breeze is also sideways to the viewer. As well I love streams almost as much. You're growing a community here, have you ever thought of Patreon? Maybe a year from now you could connect ppl that way. Salutations to you and your bf, and to your fans

    Maria this was a very good vlog, your paintings of nature cheer me up and teach me a way to make a cheerful painting pretty quick. Stay refreshed and take a little joy from each vlog being uploaded and remember real fans are passionate people sometimes too poor to buy so if you're like me the waiting for visceral progress can be frustrating or depressing. You're a really good artist so I pray for your progress. Bye

    These little TH-cam notifications bring joy😀. The beach rocks look amazing! So much happening in one Vlog - truly feels like summertime, looks like a lot of fun painting sessions. Great music as always, specially the base drop at "The Beach":

    Do you paint in acrylic? If so how do you keep them from drying on the palette when it’s hot outside?

    • @mariasisul
      @mariasisul  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do use acrylic. The palette I use has a wet sponge underneath a damp paper. That helps, and I can also spray a bit of water on it to keep the paint wet. But eventually after a few hours it does dry out if I'm in direct sun, I just stop working at that point.
